Liam and I were paired up for the chemistry class. We were assigned to do some experiments, and Liam was good at it. I was standing by, helping him by passing the chemicals.
"You hung up without saying a word yesterday."
I dropped the beaker I was holding, as I clearly wasn't expecting him to guess me.
I chuckled nervously.
"How did you get my number?"
"I had your number saved, Isabella gave it to me"
He was about to say something but I interrupted,
"Listen, Liam, I want to talk to you"
"Yeah I am all ears, what is it about" he said,
"Not here, meet me at the coffee shop we met earlier," I said reluctantly.
The class was over and I said,
"Meet me at 8"
"I'll be there at 7:59"
I arrived at the place, and Liam was already sitting there, slurping his hot chocolate. He saw me and signaled me to his seat in front of him.
"So, what is it?" he asked politely
"I wanted to say that-"
"Wait, wait, wait, let's order something for you first, what do you wanna have?"
I sighed in an ache,
"Double shot espresso and a milk chocolate donut with a drizzle of white chocolate".
"Coming right away"he said as he went walking.
There are 99 reasons why my migraine might return, he is definitely 98 of them.
I wasn't prepared to ask him about Theo. I don't know how he would react upon hearing his name. Should I prepare the dialogue?
"How are you related to Theo?" No no, too investigative,
"Do you know who Theodore is?" Meh, weird,I look like a fan of him.
As I was preparing myself he appeared from nowhere leaving me startled,
"Are you ok?"
He asked with his weird smile of his which most of the people think is attractive including Bell.
"Yeah, YEAHH I am totally fine"
I said aggravated.
"So what were you saying earlier?"
He said looking enthusiastic,
jeezz, which energy drink gives him this invigorating energy?
I was asking you something- well about someone actuall. By any chance, do you know who Theodore is?, I mean I-" I looked up to his face, it was terrific,something I have never seen before,his expressions screamed anguish. I paused definitely not expecting this,
"He..heyy?" I looked at him petrified in his eyes which he was avoiding, as if he was about to stone me with them,
"Don't!" He said trembling, not with fear but in anger.
What? Are you for real? I can't go empty handed without any information so I tried to approach him again . Bad trip, Bad trip!!! Don't do it!! Don't do it!! My inner self is fighting with my mind. I can't help I asked him again
"DO YOU KNOW WHO THEODORE IS?"
He remained silent,
I asked him again,
"DO YOU KNOW HIM?"
His expression darkened even more, which made me even more curious about his relationship with Theo.
I did it again,
"DO YOU-"
"Shut up, don't you dare say anything about him,you don't know him so shut up, stop asking about him! I don't wanna talk about him,GO AWAY, BEFORE I DO SOMETHING STUPID" He interrupted before I can even compete my sentence.
I became even more enraged,no man ever dared to raise his voice at me, how can he?
I yelled back at him, as I can't bear a man shout at me, I wasn't even wrong in this, and all I did was asking a question, just a simple one.
"Look Emma I am not trying to fight with you, just leave"
"I WON'T UNTIL YOU GIVE ME MY ANSWERS"
"HE IS SOMEONE I WOULD NOT LIKE TO TALK ABOUT"
wait, what 'is'? I gasped,
"What do you mean by is? Is he alive? How is he doing?"
I calmed down a bit coming into my senses, leaving my anger aside
"Listen Liam please tell me about him,I know you are angry at him but please try to understand I have been through a lot I don't wanna leave with nothing on me, I have a feeling that you are thinking that he is a criminal but-"
"What do you wanna know about him, huh?. And you are saying he is NOT a criminal, he tried to kill me just for the inheritance of the hotel, he tried to kill my mother because she refused to give him so, the same person who found him abandoned by his own parents and raised him like her own son,but what did he do? BACKSTABBING whom he called his family, isthis enough or do you want me to go on?" He said breathing heavily.
I was left with no words, tears rolling down my cheeks, my expressions shok and my heart pounding faster than the cold blood running through my veins.
I took my bag and left without saying anything, i didn't try to defend Theo because Liam's expressons said it all that he wasn't playing.
I sat in my car furiously, my eyes shedding tears continuously, my hands trembling with fear and betrayal, I was losing my senses and my control over myself.
I threw myself on the bed,and sobbed uncontrollably and continued.
I isolated myself for three days rethinking everything. As I was about to get up for some water I heard the bell ring, Luna recieved it.i went back on my bed and someone knocked on the door. I was stunned to see him enter through that door.
