Chapter 11 - Messy Kidnapping

The night grew heavier as the party below only became more alive. For everyone else, it was the height of celebration. For Lucien, it was the right time to leave.

As Vincent believed he was simply going back to his residence to rest, with a long day of plans waiting for him tomorrow, and not taking his bait.

The escape plan went smoothly at first. Lucien took the hidden route that only a few trusted men knew, his car flanked by one in front and one behind.

What he didn't know—or rather, what he pretended not to know—was that some of those men had already been bought. Loyalty, it seemed, had a price tag.

Halfway down the winding road, the front car suddenly stopped, forcing Lucien's driver to brake as well. The driver stepped out, as did the men from the other vehicle.

BANG.

A single shot cracked through the cold night. Birds scattered into the sky as Lucien's driver collapsed, a bullet through his skull.

His men instantly drew their weapons. "Just wait here, Servei," one of them said before charging out.

They never stood a chance. Gunfire erupted from behind, cutting his men down like they were nothing.

Lucien frowned. He had already known Vincent's scheme, but seeing his men slaughtered so easily still left a bitter taste.

He reached for two pistols, his anger outweighing patience. If he was going to be kidnapped, he'd at least make the bastards bleed first.

'This wasn't part of the script, but sitting here like some pampered princess isn't my style.'

He pushed the car door open and stepped out, greeted by seven muzzles all trained on him.

"Just give up and come quietly, Servei," one of them barked. The rest snickered.

"I still can't believe our Don is actually a filthy omega!"

Another spat on the ground. "Tch. That smug face of his makes my blood boil. Who does he think he is, ordering us around like dogs?"

"Right? Let's just rape him and—"

The man's words ended with a wet explosion. His head burst apart, blood and brain matter splattering the ground. The others flinched, instantly whipping their guns back toward Lucien.

"Fuck you! Let's just kill him here!" the one who had called him filthy shouted, his voice cracking between rage and fear.

"B-but if we do that, we'll be in deep shit!" another stammered.

Some of the men nodded quickly in agreement. They were all messy, unprofessional without their leader that body was already lying on the ground.

Lucien grimaces at how pathetic they were and how he plans to make Hound train his men better after he gets back from his 'vacation'.

"Just grab him like we planned."

Lucien laughed, his voice ringing across the night. "These are the men of Luceros? Pathetic. And here I thought the elite squad was worth something."

He spat on the ground. "All of you scared of me? An omega? Cut off your dicks and stop pretending you're alphas. You're nothing but mongrels."

Their faces flushed, veins throbbing in fury.

"KILL HIM!"

But before a single bullet could be fired, gunshots rained from the shadows. The ambushers were dropped one by one, their bodies hitting the dirt in a bloody heap.

Lucien's eyes widened. This wasn't part of Vincent's plan he knew.

'Shit… they've betrayed each other already?!'

He made for the driver's seat, only to have a bullet rip past his side, shattering the car window in an explosion of glass. He froze, his hand gripping the door.

A familiar voice slipped through the night. "My little star. We finally met again."

Lucien bit down hard on his lip. 'Of course it's fucking Reznik.'

Lucien turned his head and tilted it with mockery. "So, do you plan to kill me the same way you killed my father? How cheap."

Mikhail only shrugged, striding closer with two men behind him carrying AK-47s.

"What do you mean, princess? I just saved your life. You were seconds away from being riddled with bullets. So why don't you get on your knees and suck my dick as a thank you?"

Lucien chuckled dryly, his hand sliding to the car door handle. "Like you did to me on the rooftop?"

He was just about to pull it open when Mikhail slammed both hands against the car beside his shoulders. The vehicle shook violently under the impact.

"Trying to run?" Mikhail smirked, leaning closer.

Lucien could feel his breath against his cheek, his eyes sharp looking at him like prey and that smell of vodka and burning wood. Once again, it made him tremble as he turned his face away from him.

The devil grin became deeper as he continued, "Why bother? Let's run away together."

He yanked the door open, shoved Lucien inside, and forced him into the passenger seat. Cold steel clamped around his wrists as Mikhail cuffed him without hesitation, sliding into the driver's seat.

Diablo's men followed close behind in another car as they disappeared into the dark, empty road.

Lucien narrowed his eyes. "Where exactly are you taking me?"

If Mikhail succeeded, the entire plan he had built piece by piece would collapse. He had ways to crush Vincent, but against this devil, he had no escape.

His gaze darted around the car, searching for openings.'Should I grab the wheel and crash us?'

Before he could decide, a sharp sting pierced the side of his neck. His body went rigid, then hot.

He gasped."Lune Kiss?!"

Panic surged through him. He had taken the antidote beforehand, but he had deliberately weakened its strength, only fifty percent effective. He had wanted the challenge. Now, he regrets it.

"Fuck!"

Mikhail laughed, low and merciless, like the predator he was."What's wrong, my Don? Scared?"

His golden eyes gleamed with hunger as his grin widened. "Don't worry. I'll take it slow… for a virgin like you."

Lucien's skin was dampened with sweat. His muscles were growing heavy, his pulse quickening under the aphrodisiac's heat.

'This is bad. I can't run now.'
