We see General Ironwood looking out from the landing docks of Beacon Academy to the city of Vale at night, a few airships hovering over the lit-up buildings. Walking up from behind him is Glynda.
Glynda: "Trouble sleeping?"
Ironwood: (Looks back, gripping his shoulder with the other hand) "Arm was acting up."
Glynda: "Of course, so logically, you got out of bed, dressed yourself completely and decided to gaze menacingly out into the distance. (Approaches all the way to his side, then looks at him concerned.) What's wrong?"
Ironwood: "I've trusted him for years. We both have. I just...I can't help but feel like he's keeping us in the dark."
Glynda: "Don't be ridiculous! You know very well that we are not the ones in the dark."
Ironwood: (Laughs humorously) "That makes it worse! I refuse to believe that a man that I've trusted for so long would act so...passively."
Glynda: (Puts a reassuring hand on her friend's shoulder) "You're a good person, James. You've always done what you think is best for the people, even against strong protest. It's admirable. But it's high time you stopped talking about trust and started showing it. (Drops her hand as they stare into the distance together) Ozpin has experience that the rest of us lack. And I think that's something worth remembering. The same goes for Nick."
Ironwood: "You mean the Kamen Rider? I must ask, Glynda...why is he a student here at Beacon? He was the first person to receive his Huntsman license. Not to mention, he is the greatest warrior in the history of the world. So...why did he suddenly decide to enroll into one of the five academies that train future Huntsmen and Huntresses as a student? It just doesn't make any sense."
Glynda: "To be honest, James...I questioned it, myself, during the initiation. I couldn't understand why Nick suddenly decided to enroll into the academy, especially as a student. But, Ozpin trusts Nick's judgement, and given everything he's done to prevent the destruction of our world, it's best if we don't question it, and trust Nick's actions."
We then cut to see the full moon is shining over the ruined buildings of Mountain Glenn, and a lone Beowolf is searching through the rubble. It looks up briefly at the young girl who has it in her red crosshair scope, but Ruby just lowers Crescent Rose and sighs in tiredness at she keeps lookout over the destruction, while Nick is talking to Summer. With them talking about how Nick is in fact the Kamen Rider, with him also revealing that he's dating all three of his teammates and Team RWBY (Ruby), including both Ruby and Yang. While Summer was surprised by this, could that Nick makes the seven girls happy, and states her approval of Nick being with Ruby and Yang, before going to sleep. The rest of their teams are lying down on their sleeping mats around the fire with weapons nearby, along, with the now sleeping, Summer and Rossweisse, while Doctor Oobleck is higher up, slumped down against the wall next to the hole in the ceiling/floor. The three members of RWBY (Ruby) and NAAE (Unimaginable) have their eyes closed, but Yang is the first to stop pretending.
Yang: "Blake, are you awake?"
Blake: "...Yeah."
Yang: "Why do you think he asked us about being a Huntress? Like, what was he trying to say?"
Blake: "Maybe he was just curious."
Yang: "You think?"
Blake: "...No, not really."
Yang: "Weiss, Amber, Ata, Erza, are you girls awake?"
Weiss: "Of course I'm awake! You two are talking. And I think he...when I said I wanted to honor my family's name, I meant it. But, it's not what you think. I'm not stupid. I'm fully aware of what my Jacques Gelé has done with the Schnee Dust Company. When he took control, our business has operated in a...moral gray area."
Blake: "That's putting it lightly."
Weiss: "Which is why I feel the need to make things right. My mother is doing the best she can to restore the company's reputation back to the way it was when my grandfather started it. If I had taken a job in Atlas, it wouldn't have changed anything. Jacques was not the start of our name, and I refuse to let him be the end of it."
Blake: "All my life, I fought for what I thought was right. I had a partner named Adam. More of a mentor, actually. He always assured me that what we were doing would make the world a better place. But of course, his idea of a perfect future turned out to be not perfect for everyone. He eventually went rogue, and...was the one who started the Black Fang. I joined the Academy because I knew that Huntsmen and Huntresses were regarded as the most noble warriors in the world. Always fighting for good. But I never really thought past that. When I leave the Academy, what will I - how can I undo so many years of hate? Hate that...not even Nick can undo. I know Nick is the greatest hero on the planet, but...when he told us that the Black Fang being formed wasn't something he expected when he was changing history, it was clear that there are things that not he can prevent."
Amber: "Honestly, before I met Nick, I was just traveling around. Being a Huntress was really something that interested me. But then, one day, people ambushed me. There was about ten of them. I was able to hold my own against them with my power, but they outnumbered me. But, right as I thought I was going to be captured by them, Nick showed up. He was already transformed as Zi-O, and none of the enemies stood a chance against him. It was, the coolest thing I ever saw. He was outnumbered, all of the enemies charging at him all at once...but he won. I struggled against them, but he made it look so easy. He defeated all ten of them in a matter of minutes. After that, he suggested I went to Beacon to train. To, be safe."
Atalanta: "Ever since I was found by my parents in the mountains, I was trained by them to be a Huntress. I don't even know why I was left in the forest by my biological father. I also don't understand why I have three animal traits, instead of just only one, like other Faunus."
Erza: "I just decided to become a Huntress because...I don't know, really. I just felt like it was path I had to follow."
Yang: "At least you five have something that drives you. I've just kinda of always, gone with the flow, y'know? And that's fine, I mean, that's who I am. But how long can I really do that for? I wanna be a Huntress, not really because I want to be a hero, but because I want the adventure. I want a life where I won't know what tomorrow will bring. And that'll be a good thing. Being a Huntress just happens to line up with that. I'm not like Ruby, she's always wanted to be a Huntress. It's like she said, ever since she was a kid, she'd dreamt about being like the heroes in the books...being a hero like Nick is. Helping people and saving the day, and never asking for anything else in return. Even when she couldn't fight, she knew that's what she wanted to do. That's why she trained so hard to get where she is today."
Weiss: "Well, she's still just a kid."
Blake: "She's only two years younger. We're all kids."
Yang: "Well, not anymore. I mean, look where we are! In the middle of a warzone and armed to the teeth!"
Amber: "Not to mention, fighting alongside the Kamen Rider himself."
Blake: "It's the life we chose."
Atalanta: "I honestly don't think any of us expected that life to lead us all to be dating the first Huntsman."
Erza: "No kidding."
Weiss: "It's a job. We all had this romanticized vision of being a Huntress in our heads! But at the end of the day, it's a job to protect the people! And whatever we want, will have to come second."
Time Skip...
Yang and Erza have taken up watch, allowing for Nick, Ruby and Zwei to sleep on their sleeping bags, when Zwei suddenly wakes and stands up, causing Ruby to wake up.
Ruby: "Huh? Zwei, it's late. Go back to bed."
However, Zwei runs off.
Ruby: "Zwei! Zwei! Ugh!"
Ruby was about to get up to go after Zwei, but Nick stops her.
Nick: "Hang on, Rubes. I'll go after him, you just sleep."
Ruby simple nods and goes back to sleep, after getting a quick kiss on the forehead from Nick, who then wanders out of the building, looking for Zwei.
Nick: "I get the feeling that I already know where that trouble-making canine ran off to."
Nick then spots Zwei...urinating on some ruins.
Nick: (sighs) "Yup, knew it. Seriously, Zwei, this is a wasteland. You literally could've done that anywhere."
Zwei: "Bark!"
BF Guard 1: "What was that?"
Having heard the Black Fang Guard, Nick hides behind some ruins.
BF Guard 2: "What was what?"
BF Guard 1: "I thought I heard a Beowolf or something."
Nick: (thought) 'How the heck can someone mistake a Corgi for a Beowolf?'
BF Guard 2: "Hmph. Let's just finish our patrol and get back to base. This place gives me the creeps."
As the Black Fang Guards walk away, Nick and Zwei sneak around in the background, following them. They eventually reach a ruined building with a pair of metal doors, and Nick hides behind a corner, holding Zwei out to watch them.
Nick: "Did they go in yet? One bark means yes."
The sound of the door closing echoes out.
Zwei: "Bark!"
Nick: "Good boy. Lets get going."
Nick and Zwei walk off down the street. However, the asphalt beneath them suddenly sinks before caving in. Nick catches Zwei, and tosses him up out of the hole while letting himself plummet into a huge cave filled with ruined buildings, far below the surface. He uses Airjitzu to hover down, and safely lands on a building up against a cavern wall, when a nearby door bursts open to reveal two other Black Fang Guards.
BF Guard 3: "Freeze!"
BF Guard 4: "Where did he come from?"
As the Black Fang Guards walk forward, Nick simply stands in place.
BF Guard 3: "You're a long way from home, don't you think?"
BF Guard 4: "You've got nowhere to run."
Nick: (smirks) "Huh. That's funny. Because, honestly, I probably could've just blown up the front door to your base with something like a rocket launcher, but my brain just works like that. And I think you guys are the ones suppose to be running."
BF Guard 3: "Oh, please! You're outnumbered two-to-one, and you don't even have a weapon."
Nick: "Why do bad guys always underestimate their opponents? Whatever."
Nick then creates a familiar green watch, with an hourglass symbol on the faceplate, on his left wrist, and starts turning the dial, showing very familiar silhouettes.
Nick: "Lets see. Who to go with? Humongosaur? No. Definitely not Way Big. Arctiguana? Maybe another time. Alright then, I'll go with Diamondhead!"
Nick then slams his right hand on the dial, causing him to transform into...a monkey-like creature with six silver eyes, four arms, two legs, three fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot, blue fur over a dark blue center, a tail with two stripes near the tip, and wearing two green sashes worn across his chest, with the hourglass emblem on the center of the sashes. The two Black Fang Guards look in shock by what they just watched.
Nick(?): "Dia-wait, what? Oh, come on! I said Diamondhead, not Spidermonkey! Hang on a minute."
"Spidermonkey" then slams on the emblem, resulting in him being covered by a flash of green light, with him now in the form of...a small, white humanoid made of silicon, and strongly resembles a robot, with the emblem on his forehead.
Nick(?): "Echo Echo?! Are you kidding me?! (sighs) Whatever. I guess I can work with this. It's better then Upchuck or Ditto, at least."
The two Black Fang Guards then charge at "Echo Echo", who simply dodges the attacks, and duplicates himself, and each clone releases a sonic blast at the Guards. The clones then merge back into one.
Echo Echo: "Maybe I should stop messing around, and get serious. After all, there's a time to go hero, and there's a time to go Ultimate!"
Echo Echo then slams on the emblem, and now has a tall blue body with black stripes, an overall rounded design, long arms and legs, and stumped feet, with the emblem no on his chest.
Echo Echo: "Ultimate Echo Echo!"
BF Guard 3: "How many weird things can this guy turn into?!"
Ultimate Echo Echo: "Not surprised that neither of you two have ever seen an alien before. So you've obviously never seen a Sonorosian, let alone an artificially evolved Sonorosian. Anyways..."
A bunch of speaker-like components detach themselves from Ultimate Echo Echo's body, and circle around the two Black Fang Guards. Ultimate Echo Echo then snaps his fingers, causing the floating discs to unleash a sonic blast at the two Guards, knocking them out. The Sonic Discs then reattach to Ultimate Echo Echo's body, as he then presses the emblem on his chest, returning back to normal Echo Echo, before he presses the emblem again, this time turning into a phantom/ghost-like alien with a gaseous appearance and claw-like hands, and grey skin with black lines running all over him, along with dark green chains all over his front side which lead to his neck, waist, and center/chest, with the symbol being located at the center of his chains.
Basically, all of the Nick's alien forms are the versions from Omniverse.
Nick(?): "Ghostfreak?! Seriously?! I would've preferred Big Chill. (sighs) ...Whatever. Actually...I can totally work with this."
Meanwhile, back a camp, everyone is still asleep, as Yang and Erza walk up towards the others.
Yang: "Hey Weiss, Amber, it's your...Nick? Hey, where's Nick?"
Oobleck: "What?"
Amber: (groans) "Don't tell me his MFG (Missing From Group) again. Why does he do this to us?"
Ruby: "Zwei ran off, and Nick went after him. He should be back by now."
Zwei comes running into the room, barking.
Yang: "Zwei?"
Blake: "What's going on?"
Oobleck: "Grab your weapons! Your leader may be in trouble."
Atalanta: "Did he seriously just say that Nick might be in trouble? Hasn't he met Nick before?"
We then cut back to see one of the two Black Fang Guards walking through the underground city, alone. All around him, Black Fang members are at work, doing various things such as piloting a Paladin to carry large shipping containers. There is a loud sound nearby as one of the White Fang members drops a large device.
BF Guard 5: "Hey, be careful! What are you trying to do, blow us to the moon?"
BF Guard 6: "Sorry sir!"
"BF Guard 3": "Hey boss! Found something you might want to see!"
Roman: (Inside of a railcar) "Is it good or bad, Perry? Because let me tell ya, I have had a day. And where's the other guy?"
"BF Guard 3" ("Perry"): "Oh. So this one is Perry. I thought I took control over the other one. Oh well, doesn't really matter to me."
Roman: "What are you talking about? You know what? Never mind. What'd you find?"
"Perry": "Well, it's hard to describe. But I'll just say that, it's gonna beat up everybody who's here."
Roman: "And what is it, exactly?"
"Perry" then starts glowing green...as Ghostfreak exits his body, revealing that Ghostfreak was possessing Perry, who is laying on the ground unconscious.
Ghostfreak: "It's me. Boo."
Roman: (shocked) "What the heck?! Is that a ghost?!"
Ghostfreak: "I'm an Ectonurite, to be more specific. The name's Ghostfreak! Or at least, it was!"
Ghosfreak then slams on the emblem again, this time turning into a humanoid combination of a rooster and a hawk. He has sharp black claws on his toes and talons on his hands, as well as two larger talons protruding from his arms. He has silver eyes and a short yellow beak and is covered in brown feathers. He also has a white-brown mohawk and belly. He wears a green mask, a green belt with a white stripe, and black briefs. He also wears a strap vest with the symbol on the vest hooker.
Alien: "Now it's Kickin' Hawk!"
Roman: "Why am I always being the one to deal with weird stuff?! This time it's ghosts turning into bird people?!"
Kickin' Hawk: "Let's just get this party started!"
Meanwhile...
We then see Zwei leading Oobleck, Summer, Rossweisse, RWBY (Ruby) and the rest of NAAE (Unimaginable) to the hole that Nick fell into.
Yang: "That's a deep hole."
Blake: "Oh no..."
Weiss: "Do you think he fell?"
Oobleck: (Looks up) "Fell?"
Amber: "Down there."
Oobleck: (Looks down at the hole) "Oh my. Of course! Of course, OF COURSE, OF COURSE!"
Atalanta: "What is it?"
Oobleck: "How could I be so stupid?!"
Erza: "Dr. Oobleck, what's wrong?"
Oobleck: "Mountain Glenn! Yes, an expansion of Vale that was inevitably destroyed by creatures of Grimm! Previously home to thousands of people! Working people commuting to the city, the main city! Developed a subway system to the inner city! Grimm attacks increased! Population in danger, now desperately searching for shelter! City evacuates into the metro tunnels and what do they find? The southeast quadrant of Vale is known for wild forests and deep caves!"
Yang: "Doc, what are you saying?"
Oobleck: "My dear, we're not just looking for an underground crime network, we're looking for an UNDERGROUND crime network!"
Blake: "They've been working in caves?"
Oobleck: "No, no, Mountain Glenn was Vale's first serious attempt at expansion. It worked for a short period of time, thanks to an aggressive perimeter defense, and unique transportation; the city developed an elaborate subway system to carry citizens safely from the new territory into the main Kingdom! Sadly, without the many natural barriers Vale had to protect its borders, Mountain Glenn was doomed from the start! As the end drew near, the citizens of the territory made one last attempt at survival: They took up shelter beneath the city! In massive caves that they had cleared out for the subway. And they had cut themselves off from the surface!"
Rossweisse: "An underground village?"
Oobleck: "In a matter of speaking, yes. A safe haven. Until...an explosion opened the mouth of another cavern, filled with subterranean Grimm. After that, the Kingdom officially sealed off the tunnels, creating the world's largest tomb. If Nick is down there, (deploys his weapon) we must find him..."
