There weren't Mana Batteries before, but Mana Stones were similar, so that invention didn't measure up to his current one.
The only way to replenish exhausted Soul was to rest and meditate and let it happen naturally, unlike Mana, where people could just use Mana Stones to quickly recover.
There was no other way. Not before today.
Aegon had succeeded in making Soul Essence Batteries which could help Soul Cultivators replenish their Soul Essence faster. It was much more complicated than Mana Batteries, but he had done it.
He heard soft claps from the side and turned to see Liliana smiling proudly at him and clapping. Her eyes showed genuine happiness for his achievement.
