"You better not be lying to us, or you know the consequences." Mr. Allen warned before I could speak.
I glanced at Mr. Allen, then slowly said, "I'm just trying to seek a better future for myself. If... I can make it out alive, can I serve the Anderson family too?"
Lying was as easy as breathing for me, not worth mentioning.
