Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: The CP Four Strike and Kuzan

Robin's footsteps were swift.

After more than a decade of hiding and fleeing, betrayal and suspicion had become the dominant colors of her life.

The man who had suddenly appeared before her—no matter his intentions—was someone she would never trust. Especially since he was a bounty hunter.

Robin did not consider herself a pirate, yet the seventy-nine million Berry bounty on her head was real.

Her thought was simple: leave here as quickly as possible.

Her destination: the seaside.

Everywhere she went, Robin made a point to quickly understand her surroundings. She was very familiar with the geography of this island. She knew that on the other side lay the smugglers' dock.

Blend onto one of their ships, leave this place, and at the very least, escape the watchful eyes around her.

Whether she should trust Don's warning about the World Government agents, she didn't know—but better safe than sorry.

As Robin exited the town, her heart pounding, two tall, lanky figures emerged ahead.

Strange masks, white suits, white bowler hats.

CP!

Robin froze, her heart tightening. She turned to flee, but behind her, she realized two more figures had appeared without her noticing.

"Nico Robin, you've finally shown yourself!"

A muffled voice came from behind one of the masks.

"Surrender now, Nico Robin. You have no chance of escape."

The four had surrounded her, gradually closing in.

Robin crossed her arms over her chest, a fleeting expression of despair flashing across her face.

Her Devil Fruit granted her some combat ability, but against these World Government agents, she knew she stood no chance.

Was this the end?

Footsteps sounded.

Robin and the CP Four turned in unison, their eyes landing on a towering figure walking toward them, a blade in hand.

"I told you, these guys would catch up if you ran alone!"

A calm voice spoke, leaving Robin stunned as she looked at Don approaching.

He just came here… unafraid of these World Government enforcers?

"Stop approaching," one of them warned.

Don merely smiled. The ground beneath him exploded, and in the next instant, he was in front of Robin.

"That won't do. No one gets taken by them," Don said lightly.

"Are you… a pirate?"

The CP Four glared at him, serious.

"Nope. A bounty hunter!"

A bounty hunter?

Here to steal the credit?

The four were stunned. Was this kid also here to capture Nico Robin?

"These are all World Government agents. What you're doing will get you chased too," Robin whispered, taking a deep breath.

"You were discovered because of me. And I came to the West Blue because of you. I'm not letting you go!"

Don glanced back at Robin, speaking calmly.

"Why? You're interested in the historical texts too?"

Robin furrowed her brow. What in her life warranted someone defying the World Government for her?

"No. I'm not interested in the historical texts. I'm interested in you," Don said directly.

Robin was left utterly dumbfounded.

Whoosh!

As they spoke quietly, a figure suddenly appeared beside Don, an arm coated in Armament Haki smashing toward his head.

Boom!

Using Observation Haki to track all four, Don kicked the approaching figure, sending them flying.

The other three lunged at him simultaneously.

"Wait over there!" Don released Robin, gripping the hilt of his flaming sword. The blade scraped against its sheath, a whispering hiss following.

"Finger Gun!"

A burst of compressed energy shot toward Don like a bullet.

Swinging his sword, he blocked the attack, leapt forward, and delivered a heavy slash.

Paper Slash!

The figure narrowly missed was thrown back as if weightless, skimming along the blade.

The other two leapt toward Robin.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

Flames traced Don's sword in dozens of arcs, encasing the three aggressors.

Iron Block x3

The three were hurled away by his strikes.

The clash was so fast that, in Robin's eyes, it happened in the blink of an eye. Three enemies were gone in a single instant.

Fifteen years old!

Robin stared at Don in disbelief. He had introduced himself as that age just moments ago.

"The three aren't finished yet. Head to the seaside. I've prepared a ship for you. The unflagged one is mine!"

Don instructed Robin.

"You…"

Robin had questions, but now was not the time. She obeyed and turned toward the seaside.

Don lifted his sword, staring at the four figures emerging.

All had transformed, revealing themselves as Zoan-type Devil Fruit users. The sword had left marks on them, but their muscular forms pressed the wounds closed, making them appear minor.

"Nico Robin is a World Government fugitive. Do you know what you're doing?"

One, transformed into an upright rabbit, spoke gravely. Normally, they would have dispatched him without warning, but Don was no ordinary opponent.

In a single encounter, the four realized he was dangerous—they had little confidence in defeating him.

"Not important!"

Flames snaked from Don's wrists, entwining his blade.

Seeing this, the four attacked in unison.

"Flame Slash!"

Don disappeared in a flash. Two of the transformed figures were sliced apart, flames instantly engulfing their bodies.

Run!

Two were dead, leaving the remaining pair to flee.

"Not a single one escapes!"

Don swung his flaming sword, summoning a massive fire tornado around the two.

Snap!

Sheathing his sword, the scorched bodies collapsed, returning to human form.

These CP agents were merely tools, using standard Zoan abilities, and their overall strength was limited. Pursuing Robin in the East Blue for so many years, the World Government could not spare elite enforcers constantly.

These four, inconspicuous among the West Blue's agents, were easily managed.

Don hoisted his sword onto his shoulder and headed after Robin. The preliminary cleanup was done; the main course awaited. His expression grew serious.

Seaside.

Robin approached the small docked ship, the unflagged vessel. Unlike the busy docks of usual, no one was in sight.

Footsteps echoed. Robin spun around, pupils constricting as she saw who it was.

Kuzan—Aokiji!
