Chapter 101 - Chapter 102: Mira's Transformation Armor

"Hiss… the 'Witch' is as impressive as they say!"

Juvia was shocked by Mira's quick reactions, but her hands didn't pause as she unleashed her magic.

"How about this, then? Water Slicer!"

Her water condensed into sharp blades, slicing through the air with deadly speed, reaching Mira in an instant. Caught off guard, Mira had no time to use her transformation magic and could only cross her arms to shield herself, bracing for the impact.

But her delicate frame was no match for the magically-enhanced water blades. With a series of sharp swish and rip sounds, the blades cut through Mira's white hair, tore her long dress, and left thin, stinging gashes on her arms.

"What incredible magic…"

Even after years with Fairy Tail and all her experience, Mira had to admit that the enemy before her was the most skilled human wizard she'd ever seen wield water magic.

With her magic ineffective and close combat at a disadvantage, Mira knew she had to pull out all the stops.

Dodging another Water Slicer by darting to the side, she reached into some hidden pocket and pulled out a magical item she'd bought from Kira long ago—a belt.

The belt was silver-white, matching Mira's hair, soft to the touch yet tough, feeling less like metal and more like the sinew or hide of some magical beast. Engraved on it was the logo of Kira' shop, Hope's Hut. But the most striking feature was the black, circular emblem at the center, bearing Mira's own likeness.

Mira fastened it around her waist, the belt fitting perfectly against her slender frame. It was clearly custom-made to compensate for her current combat weaknesses.

"What's she pulling out?" Juvia noticed the white belt in Mira's hands but couldn't fathom its purpose or why she'd wear it now.

Then, Mira let out a spirited cry: "Transform!!!"

Juvia: "??"

Time seemed to freeze for a split second. Even the rain defied gravity, hanging in the air. Then, a surge of energy erupted from Mira, scattering the stalled raindrops and dispersing Juvia's sharp water blades.

Holy light, swirling winds, and raw magical power exploded from Mira all at once, leaving Juvia too stunned to press her attack.

Like a requip spell, silver-white armor materialized around Mira, majestic and imposing yet elegant and alluring—a perfect blend of power and beauty. Its design rivaled even Erza's finest armors.

Juvia's mind raced. Could this woman know requip magic too?

"Water Cyclone Saw!"

Dropping her umbrella, Juvia transformed into water and spun at high speed, manipulating a tornado-like stream to close in on Mira, aiming to shred her armor with centrifugal force.

But the silver-white armor, made of some unknown material, encased Mira completely without a single gap. It flawlessly deflected the water's assault, standing firm against the powerful spell.

Juvia's face paled. "What?! My attack did nothing?!"

As Juvia reeled in shock, Mira slowly raised her right hand into the water tornado. At her will, the armor cracked open with a clank, revealing something extraordinary.

"What's that? What's she doing?"

Juvia's eyes locked onto the armor's right arm, where the split revealed a dozen small holes, each concealing a tiny gun barrel.

A volley fired. The bullets, unaffected by the water, detonated precisely one second after launch, sending shockwaves through Juvia's watery form.

Boom! Water sprayed everywhere!

Moments later, Juvia reformed, putting distance between herself and Mira. Her cold eyes warily studied the 'Armored Witch.'

Thanks to her unique physiology, the explosion hadn't harmed her, but the moment she'd made contact with the armor, she felt her magic power being drained!

Juvia realized this was why her spells weren't as effective as expected, failing to damage Mira.

"That armor… can it absorb magic power?"

Mira smirked, pleased with her successful counter. "Heh! Crafted by Fairy Tail's top blacksmith, the 'Sage' Kira, using energy-absorbing and magic-sealing stones. Bet you didn't see that coming!"

For some reason, Kira had insisted she say this line every time she donned the armor, no matter the opponent. She complied.

"A blacksmith?" Juvia was surprised. "I thought Fairy Tail, like Phantom Lord, was all wizards. I didn't expect someone like that in your guild."

Mira wasn't about to explain that Kira was a wizard and a blacksmith and a magical merchant. Instead, she silently raised her hand and fired, slipping back into her old battle-ready mindset.

"Water Fang!"

"Water Whip!"

"Water Rising Mist!"

Wave after wave of water attacks surged toward Mira, but they barely made a dent.

Even Juvia's most familiar spells, unhindered by air resistance, only managed to splash harmlessly against the armor—less effective than a punch would've been.

Every move failed, every attack fell short, and Juvia's magic power dwindled with each attempt.

This can't go on, Juvia thought. My attacks are useless. If this drags out, I'll fail the mission. I need to grab that woman and go.

She turned to retreat, but Mira wasn't about to let her escape.

Her real concern was Lucy's fight elsewhere.

I can't let her go after Lucy. I have to hold her here!

Though Kira' armor gave her an edge, Mira rarely used it and wasn't sure of its full destructive potential. Lacking confidence in defeating Juvia outright, she poured her unstable magic power into the armor, hoping to unlock more of its strength.

Sensing its wearer's fighting spirit and the flood of magic power, the armor's arms, shoulders, and gauntlets split open, revealing an array of gun barrels—a firepower setup rivaling Iron Man himself.

Whoosh—Boom! Boom! Boom!

The armor's firepower was immense. If Juvia weren't able to elementalize, she'd have been obliterated.

Logically, physical attacks like bullets should pass through Juvia's watery body, but strangely, Mira's shots always detonated right beside her, no matter where she stood.

"Why do they keep exploding near me?!"

Juvia didn't know that Kira had crafted these explosive bullets with auto-tracking, locked onto their target the moment they were fired. The armor, linked to Mira's will, let her designate the target with pinpoint accuracy.

After a barrage of explosions, Mira closed the distance, ready for hand-to-hand combat.

Back in her prime, she could go toe-to-toe with Erza in a brawl—think of them as the female versions of Natsu and Gray.
