Chapter 117 - Chapter 118: Fairy Tail Love Story (2) – Bullet Date (Part 2)

After the movie theater and water park, Kira and Loke trailed the young couple to their final stop: a fancy restaurant in Magnolia, the kind of place only the wealthy could afford.

"Never thought Alzack and Bisca would pick a place like this," Kira said, disguised as a random passerby. He kept an eye on the shy, stumbling conversation between the couple while digging into the delicious spread on their table. "I figured they'd go somewhere more budget-friendly."

"It's their first proper date," Loke replied. "They probably wanted to make it memorable."

Kira nodded. "Makes sense—hey, Loke, what was your first date like?"

"Me?" Loke paused, looking down thoughtfully before flashing a grin. "It was so long ago, I totally forgot!"

"Really? Isn't your first date supposed to be unforgettable?" Kira raised an eyebrow. "Unless… you've had so many you lost track?"

Loke chuckled awkwardly. "Something like that…"

"So, what's your plan to mess this up?" Loke asked, curiosity piqued.

This guy's got a mischievous streak too!

"Mess it up? What're you talking about, Loke?" Kira feigned confusion, still stuffing his face. "They're my good friends—why would I ruin their date?"

"You…" Loke narrowed his eyes. "You're not actually planning to do anything, are you? You just came for the food!"

Kira froze, caught out, before muttering, "What do you know? Food and money are the only things you don't betray!"

Loke was speechless. Kira' behavior only confirmed his suspicions. "Typical Kira—start something and give up halfway!"

"Halfway? No way! I'm just… moved by their love," Kira said, mouth full. "You eating or what?"

Loke finally started on his food. "Admit it, you're out of ideas. With your lack of dating experience, how would you even know how to sabotage a date?"

"Nonsense! I may not have dated, but I know forgetting your wallet when treating a girl to dinner is super embarrassing!"

Pfft—!

Loke choked on his drink. "You're… something else."

"Genius, right? Be amazed at my plan!" Kira grinned smugly.

"Idiot!" Loke shot back, delivering a masterclass in reality. "That might work on strangers, but Alzack and Bisca have known each other forever. They're way past that kind of thing!"

"Huh? Seriously?!"

Kira' chewing slowed as he processed this, realizing Loke was right. His plan wouldn't work. Suddenly, the food didn't taste as good. While he was lost in thought, Loke seized the chance, piling the remaining dishes in front of himself and devouring them.

By the time Kira snapped out of it, most of the food was gone.

"Hey! You sneaky jerk! That's low, even for a wizard!"

"Keep it down over there!"

"Yeah, you're disturbing everyone!"

"What'd you say?!"

Kira and Loke's bickering drew glares from other diners. Before long, the upscale restaurant had the chaotic vibe of a Fairy Tail guild hall.

Alzack and Bisca, used to this kind of atmosphere, didn't bat an eye and kept enjoying their meal. They glanced curiously at the commotion at first but didn't recognize Kira and Loke in their disguises. At most, they thought the two strangers had serious Fairy Tail potential.

A romantic evening stroll was the perfect cap to a date. With many Magnolia citizens out walking, the quiet, relaxed atmosphere made Alzack and Bisca's hearts race.

As Alzack walked Bisca back to the girls' dorm, Kira and Loke trailed behind.

"Ugh, we stuffed ourselves with dog food all day, and not one of our three plans worked. So annoying!" Kira grumbled, clearly frustrated after a full day.

"That was so embarrassing," Alzack said, blushing as he spoke to Bisca. "Forgetting my wallet on a date? That's just…"

"You're always so forgetful," Bisca said, her tone unusually gentle. "This time, let's call it my treat."

"W-Well… then…" Alzack stammered, "N-Next time…"

His voice trailed off, but anyone could guess what he meant.

"Come on, man, just go for it!!!"

Hidden under an [Invisibility Cloak] that muffled their voices, Kira and Loke shouted in frustration from behind.

"Yeah, exactly! You're at this point, and you're still sending her back to the dorm?!"

After a long pause, the couple's voices floated back.

"Uh… well… oh, you're here already," Alzack said.

"Um…"

"What's up?"

"Nothing. Be careful on your way back!"

"Okay!"

They locked eyes for a moment before turning to part ways.

"No way! That's it?! That's it?!" Kira grabbed Loke by the neck, shaking him. "I watched all day for this?! Not only did we fail to mess things up, but I didn't even get enough dog food to feel satisfied! What was the point of today—no, what were they doing all day?!"

They grabbed Alzack, who was happily bouncing their way, and dragged him into a nearby grove, landing a few punches and kicks.

Kira: "You idiot! Why didn't you hug her just now?!"

Loke: "Yeah, how long are you gonna let this wishy-washy relationship drag on?!"

Still basking in the date's glow, Alzack was completely blindsided. "Kira? Loke? Wait… why are you guys here?"

Kira: "You punk, is being in love that great, huh?!"

Loke: "You call yourself a man? Can't you take the initiative?!"

Alzack sat on the ground like a scolded kid. "B-But… I don't know how Bisca feels… What if…"

That's not clear enough?

Is he really that clueless?

"Moron!" Kira grabbed Alzack's collar, shouting, "What are you scared of? If you like her, confess! Even if she rejects you, you'll just be a clown for a bit, and everyone gets a laugh! Do it when the guild's packed—that way, everyone can—"

"Kira, shut it, you lunatic!"

Loke clamped a hand over Kira' mouth, then turned to Alzack with a taunt. "If you don't say something, maybe I'll go for Bisca myself. How's that?"

"No way!"

Loke's provocation worked like a charm. Alzack's eyes sharpened, his usual focus as a sharpshooter kicking in. "Bisca's mine!"

"Now that's the spirit!" Kira broke free from Loke. "Go tell her to her face!"

Leaning in, he whispered to Alzack, "Let me tell you, at the water park today, Loke was eyeing Bisca like a creep. If I hadn't stopped him, he would've sabotaged your date!"

"What?!"

Blinded by Kira' words, Alzack didn't stop to question why they were at the water park. His fighting spirit blazed, ready to charge.

Meanwhile, as Bisca entered the dorm, she ran into Erza.

"How was your date with Alzack?"

The question made Bisca's face flush red. "H-Huh? How'd you know?"

"Everyone's talking about it," Erza said casually. "Word spread through the guild since yesterday. A bunch of people followed you two all day—Mirajane, Cana, Kira, Loke, Elfman, Macao, Wakaba… I was busy with Natsu and the others, so I didn't tag along."

Bisca's jaw dropped, mortified. "What?! Everyone was… Why didn't I notice?!"

"Because you were having too much fun!" Cana and the others strolled in, smirking at Bisca. "A girl in love doesn't notice anyone else!"

"That ending was such a letdown! Not even a goodbye kiss? I was rooting for you…"

"I'm telling you, Kira totally rigged that water slide!"

"What kind of movie did that guy pick? A couple's date calls for a romance flick! What an idiot!"

"Come on, Bisca, you gotta step it up!"

"When are you two getting married?"

Surrounded by their teasing, Bisca's brain short-circuited. After a long pause, she mumbled, "Actually… we haven't made it official yet…"

Her voice was faint, but everyone heard.

Erza spoke up. "Alzack seems shy. You might need to take the lead."

"But… I don't have the courage…"

"How can you say that?" Erza snapped. "Lacking the courage to confess is a weakling's move! We're Fairy Tail!"

Back in her room, Bisca flopped onto her bed, Erza's words hitting her like a club.

After long reflection, she took a deep breath and made a big decision. "Maybe… I'll confess to him tomorrow!"
