Talk no Jutsu: Naruto and Sasuke's bromance special—
Cough, cough!
…Sorry, wrong show!
Not much he could do about it.
Erza's sudden barrage of words left Ur completely dazed. Every individual phrase made sense, but strung together? He realized he couldn't make heads or tails of it.
She didn't give him time to ask, either. As soon as she'd said her piece, Erza was gone, striding back into the fray.
As an S-Class mage, the battlefield waiting for her wasn't just a handful of lackeys.
Ur didn't dwell on it. He had his own pressing problem to solve, namely, how to pocket Jeris' gold without raising suspicion, and preferably even pin it back on Jeris himself.
"Maybe hypnosis magic could work?" He rubbed his chin, a thought flickering in his mind.
Perhaps because he'd transmigrated, Ur's magical power was above average for his level. If he used hypnosis to implant a false memory in Jeris, he might fool that rich client.
Of course, his strength was still too low. His hypnosis magic wasn't exactly foolproof. He'd have to plan this one carefully.

Leaving the field like this felt a little at odds with his earlier "destiny talk." But the battlefield ahead was no place for him.
When guilds like Angel's Wing and Devil's Fang went to war, the chain reaction was beyond imagination.
This didn't involve those two guilds anymore. The armies of the Kiyin Kingdom and the guilds backing Angel's Wing had also formed a tense standoff. A full-scale war was unlikely, but until the guilds settled things, neither army was going to retreat.
As the fight dragged on, the expendable mages were nearly gone. The ones left standing were all elite B-Class or higher.
Among them, Ur easily spotted Fairy Tail's reinforcements. Three familiar faces.
Emmm…
Honestly, Fairy Tail mages were easy to find. All you had to do was look toward the loudest noise and the worst property damage.
Laxus, the second-generation Lightning Dragon Slayer, was a walking thunderstorm. Every swing of his hand unleashed yellow lightning that left nothing but wreckage in seconds.
Mirajane was no less terrifying. She hadn't passed the S-class trials yet, but her actual strength was already on par. If Laxus's lightning had its limits against stone structures, Mirajane's Take Over Magic had no such restrictions.
Once she donned the form of Satan Soul, the sweet, scheming girl instantly transformed into pure brutality. With demonic power born of destruction, she reduced entire sections of the battlefield to barren wasteland.
Ur couldn't help but sigh. "As expected of the future She-Devil…"
Compared to the two of them, Erza was actually the least destructive of the three.
Her Requip magic let her swap weapons and armor for versatility, but her fighting style leaned heavily on technique. Most of her strikes targeted enemies alone. So far, she had only destroyed what two, three… four buildings?
A round of applause for restraint!
Of course, Fairy Tail's trio were strong, but their opponents weren't pushovers either. Devil's Fang had hired reinforcements from other guilds. Even from a distance, Ur could gauge their power from the devastation alone.
As a result, their three battlefields became isolated war zones. Nobody dared step too close.
Still, if you judged by raw magical pressure, the most terrifying area wasn't theirs at all.
It was high above, where the Angel's Wing magic airship hovered.
That was where the two guild masters fought.
Even from this distance, Ur could feel the oppressive waves of mana rolling from that duel. Even without sensing it, the sheer heaven-and-earth distortion above the airship told the story. Only when two mages of the Ten Wizard Saints' caliber fought could the world itself shake like that.
"Yeah, time to get the hell outta here." Muttering to himself, Ur wasted no time slipping away.
This place was far too dangerous. Besides, he'd already taken a look around. Unlike Erza, most mages here weren't leaving survivors. Ur's little plan of helping them pass on had just gone up in smoke.
Without that, there was no reason to linger.
He might not be able to leave Kiyin Kingdom entirely, but at least he could put some distance between himself and Moya City.
Carrying Jeris, Ur sprinted through side streets, weaving past skirmishes until he finally reached the city gates.
One more step and he'd be free of this nightmare. But just as his foot was about to cross the threshold, a flash of pearly white shot at him from the left.
