Planetary Warriors, Freezing Space
"Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Wood Dragon Spirit. 52,000 points consumed!"
As soon as the system finished speaking, a fist-sized white crystal appeared in Xu Mo's hand, releasing a strange fragrance that filled the cave.
"So this is the Wood Spirit?"
Xu Mo gazed at the glowing crystal, heat flashing in his eyes. Without hesitation, he bit into it. The shell cracked, and a pure white liquid flowed into his mouth.
A rich, grain-like sweetness burst on his tongue before sliding down his throat and into his stomach.
Moments later, a violent heat surged through his abdomen and spread across his entire body. His skin flushed red, steaming like a boiled shrimp.
Cross-legged, Xu Mo immediately entered cultivation. The searing energy found an outlet, pouring into his muscle cells with explosive intensity.
Crack! Crack! Sounds echoed from his body as his strength climbed higher.
Meanwhile, in the sea of consciousness, his dark-golden mental core began to fracture. Endless spiritual energy gushed out, fusing into his being.
Finally—
Snap!
The mental sphere shattered into countless motes, dissolving like melting ice. Xu Mo's mental power surged to its peak—one thousand tons, the limit of a God of War.
Though his spiritual growth stalled, the Wood Spirit's energy still tempered his body. Impurities oozed from his pores, cloaking him in pitch-black grime.
Then the remaining energy converged at his lower dantian, compressing tighter and tighter—until, at last, a miniature planet formed, slowly rotating like a celestial body.
Xu Mo opened his eyes. Silver light flashed in his gaze as he stood, his joints cracking like thunder. Looking inward, he saw the tiny planet spinning within his core.
"The sign of the Planetary Stage…"
A thought triggered its gravitational field. Xu Mo's body rose from the ground—not through psychic power, but through innate planetary gravity and magnetism.
From this moment on, he could fly freely, unbound by Earth's pull. More than that, he no longer required breath; space itself would not limit him.
"System—open the properties panel!"
A familiar screen unfolded before his vision:
[Name]: Xu Mo
[Age]: 20
[Strength]: 1,320 tons
[Speed]: 1,300 m/s
[Telekinesis]: 1,000 tons
[Special Ability]: Space Freeze
[Points]: 34,420
Xu Mo studied the data in awe.
His strength had multiplied tenfold, enough to topple skyscrapers with a casual strike. His speed surpassed Mach 4 unaided, and with telekinetic propulsion, he could break Mach 5. His telekinesis remained at peak God of War, but with time he would surely ascend as a Planetary-level Spiritual Master.
What astonished him most, however, was the new ability: Space Freeze.
Warriors all absorbed cosmic energy, but each gained abilities unique to their bodies. His had manifested as spatial manipulation—something unheard of in the manuals of his world.
Curious, Xu Mo tested it.
Closing his eyes, he focused on the strange sensation. When he opened them again, everything within a hundred meters froze: seabirds halted mid-flight, waves suspended mid-crash, even the wind itself locked still.
"Amazing…" Xu Mo breathed. "This is too strong!"
He understood then—the ability suspended the space around him. Only he could move within it, while others, though conscious, would be immobilized. With more energy, he could reinforce the frozen field, resisting even attempts to shatter space itself.
It was akin to time-stop, yet subtly different.
But the cost was steep. Maintaining the field for even a dozen seconds drained him to emptiness. Xu Mo quickly released it, chest heaving.
The oppressive stillness lifted; waves resumed their crash, birds their flight.
Exhaling hard, he wrinkled his nose at the stench of expelled impurities clinging to his skin. Without hesitation, Xu Mo dove straight into the sea, letting the waters cleanse him.
