Chapter 4 - Jia Ning: Yin and Yang goddess!

The laughter from Fatty Liu got everyone's attention. Even Meng Chao that had been sleeping was forced to sit up straight and see watch the show that was about to take place.

"Fatty Liu! This was not what your promised us. Unless you say something that is going to impress us, we are not going to let you off easily!" A woman with tights walked from the crowd, caressing her Knuckles as if ready to give someone a beating.

"Cough! Cough! Cough! Luo Li! If you don't change this behaviour of yours who is going to dare marry a tigress like you!" He didn't delay and launched a verbal attack instantly.

"What did you just say?" Luo Li erupted in fury when she heard this words.

Clearly she wasn't very happy with being called a female tigress.

Even the teenage boys that were laughing at this shut up when she turned her gaze on them.

To everyone's suprise, Fatty Liu rushed to escape the persuit of the girl as he moved towards Meng Chao's location the moment he spotted him.

"Hey old Chao! This woman is arrogant and thinks none of us can do anything to her! Help me teach her a lesson!" Fatty Liu's voice was not suppressed and heard by everyone.

He had cleared done this intentionally.

When Meng Chao heard this words and saw the chubby guy rushing his way, he didn't even think twice and stood up instantly.

The eyes that looked like he had been sleeping sobered up as he climbed up the tree he had been sleeping under fast.

He wasn't a newbie, and knew this fatty Liu real well. Clearly he was trying to divert the trouble he had started towards him.

He had been calm and even sat by himself yet this guy just couldn't help but bring him trouble.

How could he be willing. But then again he seemed to understand the nature of this fatty Liu.

"You there! Are you the helper this fatty brought along?" Luo Li looked at the young man that had instanly rushed to the top of the tree and asked.

She was clearly ready to deal with him, but who was Meng Chao.

"I don't know him!" Meng Chao replied without even flinching.

"Nonsense! Brother Chao! How can you do this to me?" Liu Yan that was under the tree felt as though he had been deeply betrayed by what Meng Chao had just said.

"Huh! This uncle! Do I know you?" Meng Chao asked as he looked at Fatty Liu as though he wasn't familiar with his face.

Giggling erupted from the other side of the flowers.

Hphmm!!!...

When Meng Chao turned his head he could see a fairy sitting on a raised rock, with a book being held in her arms.

She looked up and he could see that she was suppressing her laughter. Upon being noticed, she covered her mouth, with her soft arms.

It was just that she had attracted the attention of Luo Li that was about to attack Meng Chao.

"Sister Ning! What are you doing here?" Luo Li asked as she looked at the young lady that resembled a fairy.

"I just came out with a friend to relax! Who would have thought I would see something interesting!" She replied with a smile.

Meanwhile Fatty Liu standing at the side exclaimed, " Jia Ning! Jia clan Yin and Yang goddess!"

The voice attracted those that had ignored him in the begining as they knew clearly what this words implied.

Among the younger generation, Jia Ning was considered a household name, as she was among those whose talents were recognized early and gained access to cultivation technique.

Rumor had it that she had also already attained entry of the cultivation technique but was unwilling to enter Xiantian realm with just this level of understanding.

She wasn't the only one, as the others were the same. Desiring to push their martial inheritance beyond the entry level.

Seeing the crowd gathering over, Jia Ning's expression didn't change much. She just shifted her focus back on the book she was holding.

The reason why she was well known was simple, she had the inheritance of the third most powerful person among the humans in the world.

It was difficult to understand the technique beyond the entry level without breaking through to the Xiantian stage.

It was just that most geniuses did want to attempt this. After all if they succeeded, it would be a huge boost to their cultivation speed.

This higher the understanding of a technique when they brokethrough could allow then to even push it further.

Seeing how Jia Ning didn't have any interest in conversing with them, they turned their attention to Liu Yan.

"Fatty Liu! Why did you gather us in this place? You'd better have something good to tell us. I sacrificed a lot to be here!" An arrogant looking man stood up and warned.

"Hehe! Who you are Li Lang Tian don't we know! If not for me inviting you to breath some fresh air you should have been busy acting like a licking dog right now for that Fire witch Mu Wane'r."

Fatty Liu didn't condone Li Lang Tian in the slightest and exposed him in public for being a licking dog.

"She is not a fire Witch! It is Phoenix Fairy!" Li Lang Tian argued against the name used to describe the woman he liked rather than the fact he had been called a licking dog.

Up in the tree, from the their discussions, Meng Chao was already starting to feel the difference between them.

He really felt his inferiority to this young men.

Each of them had some background with someone accomplished in martial arts in their families.

It was obviously also why they didn't take the same path as his elder sister. They clearly had the chance to breakthrough to first heaven Xiantian realm after their Cultivation technique reached entry but they didn't.

Looking at them up from the tree, he actually felt are though they were the ones standing above his head.

This feeling was indeed suffocating, and what he realized at this moment due to his highetened senses was that some of them had a unique presence around them.

This presence was now around Fatty Liu too. It was clearly present in Jia Ning. Even though she tried to hide it, his sharp senses grasped it.

It was like to opposite forces yet in a state of balance around her.

It was what gave her that sense of fairy air.

Looking at Luo Li, this feeling was not apparent, but it was slowly taking form.

Around Li Lang Tian it wasn't easily detectable. He appeared to be both virtual and real when he observed him closely.

The more he observed them, the more helpless he felt.

They were from the same generation, but the difference between them was so massive.

He just kept silent but the sadness in his eyes was true.

His situation was helpless and without a technique to cultivate suited for his talent, perhaps it was hopeless even if he persisted on his desire to practice martial arts.

His mind was already drifting off into the distance no longer interested in what was going on below him.

It was because he had been reminded of a certain reality! He didn't have any Cultivation technique and without reaching Xiantian stage it was even more so impossible to think about seeking opportunities.

The way foward for him was cut off and he couldn't be like these fellow young men that could love and hate at will. They had already a grasp of their futures in their own hands.

He didn't seem to see the same for himself. He was in a daze and by the time he recovered, everyone seemed to have left.

He looked at the sky and the sun was already above his head. Clearly a few hours had passed by, and yet everyone had gone on to mingle on their own.

He had arrived in this place with some light in his eyes, but at this point, it had all faded away.

He really had lost hope, as such he got down and walked off without even attracting attention.

Off course some else was watching his figure slowly walk away but didn't come forward to stop him or say anything.

The two of them were not familiar to begin with. It was Jia Ning.

She watched as the lonely shadow walked away and completely disappear.

She didn't feel anything wrong, after all he was indeed not fitting in. She was sitting alone, but even so, still had some kind of connection with everyone here.

Meng Chao on the other hand, didn't.

Walking on the road, he didn't know how long it had been.

It was only the sound of an old man shouting at the street that caught his attention.

"Supreme martial arts secrets for sale at an affordable price. Buy one get one free."

Meng Chao's dead eyes turned in the old man's direction and walked over.

At this point, what did have to lose.
