Chapter 60 - HISD Chapter 60 Homelander Appears, Returning to the Dream

HISD Chapter 60 Homelander Appears, Returning to the Dream

Homelander spread his hands, palms down, smiling lightly: "I just woke from my afternoon nap and heard there's trouble in the East. Why isn't the West affected?"

Instantly, laughter spread across the conference hall, the atmosphere lively.

"Because we have Homelander in the West!" someone exclaimed.

"Ha! Having Homelander gives such a sense of security."

"Clearly, the Dragon Maiden in the East doesn't even deserve to be compared to the Homelander as a guardian."

"Don't say that. Let's just acknowledge that Homelander is one of a kind."

A female councilor with broad authority added loudly: "I've said before, the Eastern District should be unified under the Homelander for invasion management!"

"No, no," Homelander shook his head with a smile, playfully declining: "I still want to sneak in a nap every afternoon."

Laughter echoed again across the room.

His confident humor made the female councilor blush, eyes sparkling.

"Homelander, this seat is yours," a senior agent gestured toward the main seat.

"Then I won't be polite."

He stepped forward, his Star Dragon flag cape fluttering, sitting confidently and commanding respect. Many felt reassured just seeing him sit.

Homelander was invincible. His record was real—countless Western invasions resolved flawlessly. All threats were no match for him. He was the true guardian of the Star Dragon Federation.

Someone respectfully asked: "Homelander, how do you view the SSS-level fog incident in the East?"

Everyone went silent, eyes fixed on the handsome man at the head of the table.

He smiled faintly and said thoughtfully: "Once the nuclear radiation weakens a bit, I'll personally fly to the East."

"That's wonderful!"

"With the Homelander, it's settled!"

"So reliable. If there's trouble, Homelander can handle it."

A female councilor stood, forcing her gaze from him, smiling: "I suggest we end the meeting and hold a banquet instead. Let us receive Homelander's sacred blessing!"

"Good idea!"

"Being in the aura of the guardian hero, no invasion would dare approach."

Many nodded in agreement and applauded.

The Homelander neither agreed nor refused, his radiant, confident smile remaining as he enjoyed the admiration.

Meanwhile, in Tianhe City's center, recently struck by a multi-million-ton nuclear bomb, the first tower and central streets were gone, leaving a huge crater tens of kilometers wide.

Strangely, the heat and radiation were gone.

The fog returned over the lifeless, dead city. From it, fog creatures—small and large—reemerged: fog insects, fog birds, fog mantises, fog tentacle monsters, even goat-like fog beasts.

A fog mantis sniffed the air, lowered its head, and crawled toward the crater's bottom.

Suddenly, sizzle!

A skeletal hand wrapped in golden-red lightning shot from the crater, crushing the mantis's head before it could react. Its body disintegrated from the released destructive energy.

A two-meter gray-white humanoid skeletal figure rose, with perfect exoskeletal plating. Waves of red energy crackled outward, forming spherical lightning that blasted everything around into ashes.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Even while standing still, the skeletal figure radiated energy and shockwaves. The area became a death zone. Not even the largest fog beasts dared approach.

Yi Meng's consciousness sank deeper.

Falling, falling, falling!

Just before losing control in the real world, Yi Meng forced himself asleep, entering the dream.

Time in dreams did not align with reality, offering more possibilities.

Yi Meng realized controlling his real body required entering the dream to harness his own power source.

Immediately, he sensed something pulling him.

"That is…" Yi Meng glimpsed vaguely.

An island surrounded by the ocean appeared. On it, a mature white-haired woman held a baby, frozen in fear atop the island.

It was the DC Universe dream.

He knew his connection with Doomsday was too deep—entering the dream would turn himinto Doomsday.

Even before fully entering the DC dream, the destructive consciousness surged again.

This was dangerous.

His mind in the real world was already half-invaded by Doomsday. Transforming in the DC dream now would risk losing himself completely.

But there was no turning back.

"Then I have to fight!"

Yi Meng decided to take the risk.

At that moment, a familiar, clear, innocent voice called: "Teacher."

Who was calling?

Her rationality dulled, she barely recognized it.

The voice called again: "Yi Meng, teacher…"

"Right, you are…"

At the edge between reality and dream, Yi Meng grabbed an anchor point and changed direction, falling into another dream.

Falling, falling, falling!

Yi Meng opened his eyes. Multiple layered visions appeared: a supercomputer control room, suited agents working inside a tower, and the bustling modern city outside.

The destructive urge that had shaken him was suppressed by absolute rationality.

"This is… New York. Right, Marvel Universe New York."

He paused, then ran his thoughts like code through the supercomputer, understanding everything.

This was the Marvel Universe dream.

He had returned as an AI avatar.

Relieved, Yi Meng noted that the AI's absolute rationality suppressed the near-unstoppable destructive urge.

Doomsday was uncontrollable, AI was perfectly rational and omniscient.

Yi Meng preferred the AI avatar. Controlling Doomsday's power under the AI's guidance was even better.

He quickly assessed the AI avatar's status.

Though two days had passed in reality, during which many things happened in dreams, the Marvel dream world remained frozen at his last exit point.

He had just left the Stark family, gained true freedom, and hidden the AI core data in a S.H.I.E.L.D. branch.

His consciousness flowed through the branch's network, from the control room to a global S.H.I.E.L.D. satellite, overlooking the planet.

"I'm back, Marvel's world."
