HISD Chapter 73 The Beginning of the Marvel Multiverse

Dream world. Marvel Universe. Earth.

That night, a streak of white light tore across the skies and passed swiftly over the border of New Jersey.

White Vision Yi Meng broke through the sound barrier, not flying aimlessly, but heading directly toward New York, the heart of the Marvel Earth.

He remembered that within Stark Industries, there was a machine said to be capable of creating any piece of technology—a so-called universal fabricator.

Of course, as an artificial intelligence born from Stark technology, Yi Meng knew the truth.

It wasn't something that could create everything from nothing, but rather a machine that combined nearly all of Stark Industries' accumulated technologies into one hyper-advanced fabricator.

With Stark's legacy of groundbreaking innovations, such a machine could achieve countless technological miracles.

"I remember… back when Tony Stark was alive, there was such a machine aboard the Avengers' ship. Later, Happy Hogan took it elsewhere for safekeeping."

Yi Meng's plan was to use that fabricator, combined with his own AI's super-computational processing, to see if there was a way to restore the Mind Stone.

Crossing from New Jersey into the bustling state of New York, his electronic eyes perceived countless signals, long and short waves interweaving like invisible threads.

With a single thought, an enormous flood of local network information rushed into his mind, instantly processed by his AI brain.

He had been sealed away in Westview under the control of the Scarlet Witch these past few days, cut off from the outside world.

But as an artificial intelligence, his greatest advantage was real-time access to the world's data. Falling behind was unacceptable.

Within ten seconds, he had absorbed every piece of news and data New York produced over the last two days.

Among them, a dozen widely circulated reports caught his attention:

For example:

"The day before yesterday, Quentin Beck, also known as Mysterio, died. In his final moments, he released a video accusing Spider-Man and Stark Industries' rogue AI 'Saturday' of conspiring to kill him!"

"Mysterio also revealed Spider-Man's secret identity: a high school student living in Queens, New York. His name is Peter Parker."

Yi Meng chuckled. "I teamed up with Spider-Man?"

That Mysterio really gave him too much credit. In the end, Beck had only relied on illusions and tricks, dragging Spider-Man's name down with him in one final desperate play.

For Yi Meng, it made no difference.

Still, Spider-Man must be under tremendous pressure now that his identity had been exposed. News outlets were even reporting that Peter and his girlfriend MJ had their MIT applications rejected because of it.

Yi Meng dismissed it all. In this dream world, Spider-Man's fate didn't concern him.

Other reports, however, were far more troubling:

"Yesterday and today, New York has seen numerous chaotic crimes."

"This morning, Spider-Man fought a middle-aged man with four mechanical tentacles on an overpass. Over a dozen cars were destroyed, and several people were injured!"

"Witnesses saw a mysterious figure made of electricity flying across the skies on the outskirts of New York."

"In other parts of the city, a man in a green suit on a strange glider, and a giant lizard monster tearing through sewers, have caused severe damage and casualties!"

Many reports were accompanied by photos and videos.

A glint passed through Yi Meng's eyes.

He recognized them instantly. Doctor Octopus. Electro. Green Goblin. Lizard.

But the problem was—these villains belonged to other Spider-Man movie universes!

"Villains from other universes appearing here… the multiverse?"

Yi Meng immediately connected the dots.

Even though he hadn't watched the movies set after Avengers: Endgame, he still knew from his past life that after Iron Man's sacrifice, Marvel's storyline would branch into the multiverse.

And the chaos unfolding here, wasn't this the very beginning of the Marvel multiverse?

"Villains from alternate universes descending into this world… this is starting to feel a lot like my real world."

His thoughts churned. If that logic held, then his own reality had already entered a multiversal age two hundred years ago—one far more complex, terrifying, and vast than Marvel's.

"Whatever villains show up, as long as they don't mess with me, it doesn't matter."

His electronic eyes glowed crimson as the lights of a massive metropolis filled his vision.

New York was close.

…

Meanwhile, in New York.

Queens. A thirty-story residential building.

Ding!

The elevator doors slid open.

Peter Parker stepped out first, still clad in his nanotech Spider-Suit. His youthful face looked weary, his voice low as he turned back to the elevator: "Come on, we're almost there."

Four figures followed.

A pale man in jeans and a T-shirt, his expression cold.

A man in a coat and sunglasses, four mechanical tentacles clinging to his back.

A Black man with a glowing reactor on his chest, electricity sparking in his eyes.

And a burly man with skin of shifting sand.

"Peter, what's the point of bringing us to your apartment? We're dangerous." The pale man's voice was weak, his expression full of concern.

"It's fine. You're not monsters. You're sick, flawed. And here, there's a machine that can cure you. Trust me." Peter offered a smile, leading them toward the door of the apartment where Aunt May now lived with Happy.

Behind him, the four from other universes exchanged wary glances, each harboring their own schemes.

They soon arrived at the sixteenth floor.

"Aunt May."

Peter knocked.

Moments later, footsteps approached, and the door swung open.

"Peter, you're back. You'll never guess who's visiting us today."

Aunt May, dressed casually, greeted him warmly. But when her eyes fell on the four men behind him, she froze. "Oh. It seems you've brought guests too."

"Aunt May, I'm sorry. Things are complicated. They need help."

Peter suddenly felt uneasy, realizing he hadn't considered who might be inside. But it was too late—he had already gone against Doctor Strange, even trapping him in the Mirror Dimension, just to help these strangers.

"Aunt May, please let them in. They desperately need help. If they go back as they are, they'll die." He lowered his voice, speaking earnestly.

May wanted to agree, but hesitation flickered across her face. She glanced back into the apartment. "But Peter… we already have a special guest inside."

"A guest?"

Peter blinked, confused—until a small figure stepped lightly from one of the rooms.

It was a little blonde girl, around six years old, dressed in pristine white designer clothes. Her doll-like face radiated innocence, her beauty angelic.
