The title 'Twilight Falls' is inspired by the impending sunless days that would engulf the world if the Sun Knights of Aulstria fall in the Twilight War against the Aridonian opposers of the sun. A loss would leave Aulstrians vulnerable to Aridonian attacks, threatening the very foundation of their world and the religion of the sun goddess Themeta.
In the world of 'Twilight Falls,' a profound conflict brews between the continents of Aulstria and Aridona. Aulstria, blessed with the radiant presence of sunlight, is home to devoted followers of the sun goddess Themeta. Conversely, Aridona and similar land remains in a world with day and night, but devoid of sunlight due to their refusal to acknowledge Themeta's supremacy casting a literal shadow over their existence. As tensions escalate, the stage is set for an epic war between the Sun Knights of Aulstria and the forces of Aridona, each side driven by their own convictions and ambitions.
In 'Twilight Falls,' a world divided between the sun-kissed continent of Aulstria and the sunless lands of Aridona teeters on the brink of war. Aside from the coming war between the two continents, tensions escalate, the intricate web of power play and politics within both continents comes to the forefront. The Kingdoms within the Aulstrian continent are divided struggling for unity while in the Aridonian continent, the empire of Hal'deen threatens the Independence of the kingdom of Yen, Kingdoms vie for supremacy, leaders navigate treacherous landscapes of deceit and lies, and the very fabric of their worlds is tested. Against this backdrop, the impending war between the Sun Knights of Aulstria and the forces of Aridona threatens to upend everything. *PROLOGUE : The Wrath of Themeta*
Centuries ago, humanity turned its back on Themeta, the celestial goddess who had created the sun and brought humanity into being. Insulted by their betrayal, Themeta unleashed her wrath upon the world. She withdrew the sun's light, and though the earth continued to cycle through day and night, the days were no longer illuminated by the sun's warm rays.
The consequences were dire.Vampires, once confined to the Twilight Pit, a realm deep within the Aulstrian lands where they originated, were freed to roam the earth under the dim, sunless days. The continent of Aulstria, being the birthplace of these creatures, bore the brunt of their wrath, becoming the primary domain of the vampires. Themeta's plan was for the vampires to spread their terror beyond Aulstria, to the continent of Aridona, and perhaps beyond, punishing all of humanity for their betrayal.
However, as Themeta watched the suffering of humanity in Aulstria, her wrath gave way to pity. She saw the devastation, the fear, and the despair that gripped the continent, and her heart softened. Deciding to intervene, Themeta chose a mortal, Gayus, a man gifted with the ability to communicate with celestial beings. Through Gayus, Themeta sent a message to humanity: return to her worship, and she would restore the sun's light.
Gayus preached Themeta's message across Aulstria, gathering a large following despite the dangers posed by vampires. His efforts paid off, and eventually, the sun's light returned to Aulstria, vanquishing the vampires. The last remnants of the vampires, the enigmatic Blood Sisters trio, fled the sun-kissed realm of Aulstria and sought refuge in Aridona, a realm where the skies remained shrouded in a perpetual haze, devoid of sunlight, yet still subject to the cycles of day and night.
The continent of Aridona, however, remained untouched by the vampires' darkness. Its people had never known the terror that Aulstrians had faced, and as a result, they saw no need to return to Themeta's worship, besides, they've lived years without the sun, all those sunless days Aridonians have come to adjust to a life without the sunlight. When Gayus arrived in Aridona, his message fell on deaf ears. The Aridonians rejected the idea of a goddess who would unleash such horrors upon the world, and the religion failed to take hold. As a result, Aulstria remained unique, its people worshiping Themeta as the sun goddess and revering Gayus as the Bringer of the Sun, forever changed by their experience with darkness and redemption.
