Chapter 140 - Chapter 140 You can chase, but you can’t really kill

"... Didn't you ask Headmaster Dumbledore to put up the notice?"

Kaisen rubbed his ear: "When did I... ask Dumbledore to put up a notice for me?"

The Weasley Twins exchanged glances: "You don't know? About your adventure plan needing an assistant at the end of this semester?"

".....When did I...." Kaisen was halfway through his sentence when the crystal ball on his desk lit up again.

"Professor, what is this?"

"Oh, that's the switch for my office door."

"Hey, wait!"

Before George could finish, Kaisen had already pressed the crystal ball. The next moment, as the office door swung open, Lee Jordan and Angelina charged in on their broomsticks, leading the way.

"Holy crap... Is that the performance a Comet should have?" George said, looking at the white tail of air behind Lee Jordan's broomstick, utterly bewildered.

"Is this not.... what Father mentioned to us before... a sonic boom?"

The next moment, Angelina and Jordan, with a tacit understanding, each grabbed one of the Weasley Twins, hoisting them into the air.

"Wow... an upside-down bicycle kick?" Kaisen said, looking up in admiration.

"Hehe, Professor." A Little Wizards had already appeared before him, riding a famous boat.

"...What is it?" Kaisen asked, somewhat bewildered.

"This is my resume, please take a look."

Kaisen politely took the resume, then looked at the line of Little Wizards already formed behind this Wizard and asked, somewhat bewildered: "Are you all here for this... adventure assistant position?"

The Little Wizards nodded in unison.

Kaisen closed his eyes knowingly: "You've been tricked by Dumbledore. I'm not looking for an adventure assistant, and even if I were, I already have someone in mind. After all, if I were to really take you out, first, there's your safety."

"And it's hard for me to say who would be looking after whom."

"Ah~~~"

Kaisen, hearing a chorus of 'ah's, didn't forget to look up at the Weasley Twins, who were still hanging upside down. As he declared that this so-called adventure assistant was a farce, Angelina and Jordan also lost the desire to keep the Weasley Twins flying.

Soon after putting them down, Angelina even used Transfiguration to conjure two red noses, one for George and one for Fred.

The Weasley Twins looked at each other: "Are we clowns?"

"If nothing unexpected happens... yes."

Half an hour later, the Little Wizards piled in the office finally left, and an uninvited guest, accompanied by another uninvited guest, appeared in his office.

"Dumbledore, I haven't even settled accounts with you yet, and you've come looking for me? And Mr. Grindelwald, don't you have your own business?" Kaisen said, radiating coldness.

"I can't be blamed for this. I really don't feel at ease letting you go out alone." Dumbledore said with a smile.

"I'm not a child. What's there to be uneasy about?" Kaisen rolled his eyes and said.

"Do you know the customs and practices of those places? Do you know the insidious tricks of the venomous snakes hiding in the shadows?"

"And do you know the true prices of things in those places?"

Kaisen's mouth twitched: "That last sentence is what you really wanted to say, isn't it... But you don't have to worry, I'll ask Lupin to come with me."

"Lupin doesn't have time this holiday because he's going to find Sirius."

Sirius, nestled in the wool mat on the second floor, suddenly looked up... He was a little hungry.

"I think Hagrid should be free this holiday, right?" Kaisen continued.

"You yourself believe you need an assistant." Dumbledore smiled.

"So... you also think Hagrid is good?"

Dumbledore shook his head: "Minerva gave Hagrid a strict order; this holiday, he has to finish all the lesson plans for third to seventh years in advance. It's unlikely he'll have a chance to accompany you out."

"Uh... Why didn't I have to submit lesson plans back then?" Kaisen said, shrugging his shoulders, somewhat helpless.

"...She urged you, and then to avoid submitting lesson plans, you blew yourself into the infirmary for half the holiday. Don't you remember?" Dumbledore said faintly.

".....That was an accident." Kaisen said, biting the bullet.

"Hmm, I believe everything you say is true."

"...Good that you believe. Now, can you tell me what's going on?"

"To recommend an adventure assistant for you." Dumbledore said, with his hands behind his back, full of confidence.

"...You convinced Severus? No... You're not talking about..."

As Kaisen spoke, he shifted his gaze to Grindelwald, who was standing next to Dumbledore.

"Ah, this... I remember he's still a wanted criminal, and a wanted criminal throughout Europe." Kaisen said, his expression somewhat crumbling.

Dumbledore glanced at Grindelwald, who casually waved his wand.

"...What's changed?" Kaisen asked, looking at Grindelwald's face, which was exactly the same as it had been a second ago.

"This is a powerful Confundo. You still see the original me, but others see a random appearance, and they won't remember my true appearance." Grindelwald explained.

Kaisen couldn't help but give a thumbs up: "You're still amazing."

Dumbledore looked at Grindelwald, then at Kaisen: "You agree?"

Kaisen shrugged and asked Grindelwald: "Are you fast at running?"

Grindelwald and Dumbledore exchanged glances, clearly somewhat confused by what Kaisen had said.

Dumbledore didn't say anything, but Grindelwald would likely soon understand what Kaisen meant.

....

"Alright, Little Wizards, this is your final exam. You may leave now." At the end of the semester, Kaisen said with a smile as he collected the papers.

"Professor, will you be sad when we leave?" A Little Wizards named Barry asked while handing in his paper.

"Actually, a little bit, yes, but not enough. The times I'll truly be sad will be with the Weasley Twins' year and Harry Potter's year."

"The former were the first students I taught after coming to Hogwarts; we'll have four full years of classes."

"As for the latter, they and I both came to Hogwarts for the first time in the same year. We'll explore this strange and magnificent magic Castle together. In a sense, they and I are like classmates."

"Wow, Professor, aren't we your favorite year of students?" Barry asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Actually, my least favorite students are your year. Now hurry up and leave, hurry up and leave." Kaisen said, leading the way out of the classroom.

"Professor, you're not saying that on purpose so we won't be sad, are you?"

Kaisen stopped, turned around, and shrugged: "Not at all."

"Really?"

"If I'm lying, then on this trip to Africa, let me be chased by cannibals... but not actually killed."
