Chapter 207 - Chapter 207 Trelawney's Prophecy

Not long after Christmas, the Quidditch match was held.

Harry once again began his rushed Quidditch training, and because all the Quidditch players had Withering Charms from Kayson, the sky above the Quidditch Pitch was always clearer than other parts of Hogwarts whenever Quidditch training took place.

Therefore, not only the players who needed to train, but many Little Wizards also came here to stroll and play, benefiting from the clear sky.

After all, there were players riding flying brooms in the sky, and if a Dementor were to recklessly choose to fly at a low altitude for a meal, any player with a Withering Charm could perform a righteous dive and scare the Dementor into a Dementor dog.

Gradually, the Quidditch Pitch attracted more and more Little Wizards, as it could be considered the safest place at Hogwarts this semester, apart from the Castle.

After all, while the Withering Charm and Patronus Charm might not seem too difficult at first glance, they truly depend on talent.

Those who can learn them inexplicably just do, while those who can't never will, no matter what; in this regard, the Withering Charm is even slightly stronger than the Patronus Charm.

After all, the Withering Charm can be analogized to a science, with a fixed solution, while the Patronus Charm, as Professor Lupin said:

"Recall your happiest memory, then find that feeling, and speak the incantation."

Happy memories, everyone is a Little Wizards, not a Dark Wizard, so they all have some; speaking the incantation, there are only a few words, so there's no problem there.

It's this damn feeling, what kind of feeling is it really?!

"I think it's like… like when you go home for Christmas and find that your parents have been discharged from St. Mungo's. I believe this so-called feeling is also a kind of happiness, but it's not a concrete emotion, but an abstract feeling. You can start from that angle." In the Library, Hermione was lecturing Neville, who was still struggling to learn the Patronus Charm.

Although Neville had successfully created a Withering Charm, he still wanted to improve further.

After all, Kayson and Lupin had discussed that as long as one of the Withering Charm or Patronus Charm was passed, the other subject would automatically pass.

However, this was only a procedural pass, but in Professor McGonagall's eyes, this was far from a real pass, and all the necessary self-criticism, point deductions, and detentions would not be missed.

Fortunately, there was still time; learning a little more now would always be beneficial for the final exams.

"Okay, I've noted all of this down. I'm going out to watch the Quidditch match. Are you really not coming?" Neville said after closing his notebook.

"Slytherin and Hufflepuff. Just remember to call me when Gryffindor plays. I'll keep reading. I'm not quite satisfied with my current Patronus Charm." Hermione replied, still looking at her book without lifting her head.

"Alright then, be careful."

"I will, I will…"

Hermione readily agreed. The Library wasn't crowded today; in fact, it could be said that she was the only one there. Even Madam Pince, after confirming that Hermione, the only Little Wizards present, was a well-behaved student, happily went to the Quidditch stands to watch the match.

After all, people as dedicated as Hermione are still a minority in this world; most are just ordinary people.

And fortunately, there was no one else in the Library, which also made things convenient for Hermione, as some things were not easy for her to do when Neville was there earlier.

For example, ever since lunch, the sock in her boot had been slipping down, which was undoubtedly very uncomfortable.

She instinctively wanted to bend down, take off her shoe, and adjust her sock, but her arm accidentally hit the bench, and unfortunately, it hit her funny bone. Although it didn't hurt much, it still made her arm go numb.

"Why is my luck so bad today!" She somewhat awkwardly pulled out the changing book Sirius had given her from her bag on the table, flipped to the shoe page, and casually picked a slipper.

"magic changes lives, it's so convenient."

Hermione, who had successfully changed her shoes, closed the book and, with some effort, put the changing book back into her bag with her other hand, accidentally touching the quill she had used earlier to explain the Patronus Charm to Neville.

"Ah… how unlucky. I'll pick it up later."

Poor Hermione had no idea what a colorful evening awaited her, just like now.

As the evening bell rang, she finally put away all the books she had been reading, returned them to the shelves, and as she returned to her seat and picked up her bag, ready to leave, a quill on the floor, as if blown by the wind, playfully tickled Hermione.

This made her instinctively shake her foot, but she was completely unaware that the edge of the bench was right beside her, and her toes firmly hit the inner edge of the bench.

With the sharp pain in her toes, she quickly hooked her foot up, then hit the flat underside of the bench heavily again.

At once, as her balance was completely disrupted by a series of minor accidents, she finally, as expected, fell backward.

Ah!

Crunch!

There were still a few people scattered in the Library in the evening. A few Hufflepuff Little Wizards came over and helped Hermione up, only leaving slowly after confirming she was alright.

Hermione endured the sharp pain in her ankle… that's right, she wasn't alright, but she had instinctively said she was fine, and by the time she realized her ankle was injured, it was too late; the words were already out, and taking them back would be too embarrassing.

She had no choice but to bear the pain in her ankle, leave the Library, then quickly transfigure a crutch for herself and hobble towards the Medical Wing.

"I really need to talk to Hermione about this. I told her Malfoy is a good-for-nothing show-off, he can even be shaken off his broom by Cedric, isn't that just pure nonsense?" Ron chattered to Harry and Neville.

"Indeed," Harry and Neville both said, unable to hold back their laughter.

It wasn't until the three of them had walked around the Library and still couldn't find Hermione that they exchanged surprised glances.

She wasn't at the Quidditch stands, nor in the Great Hall, nor the common room, and even after they asked a classmate to check the girls' dormitory, she still wasn't there.

"Do you remember what Professor Trelawney said in Divination Class…" Ron murmured…

The three looked at each other…

"Oh no! Something bad's going to happen!"
