"What does it mean for Hogwarts to stand up?" Professor McGonagall asked, a hint of excitement in her voice.
"It means exactly what it says. You'll know if you live another thirty-eight thousand years…" Kayson explained.
"So… will there be a specific magic spell for it?" Professor McGonagall asked.
"Most likely not, but there should be a specific activation method. Professor McGonagall, do you have any… thoughts?" Kayson asked.
"If you encounter any problems during this magic modification process, you must tell me," Professor McGonagall said with a serious expression.
"Mmm… I will… Mmm, I will." Kayson didn't know why Professor McGonagall's reaction was suddenly so strange, but he eventually nodded and agreed.
Anyway, Professor McGonagall had said that if there were any problems, he should tell her. That basically meant he could tell her any difficulties and troubles and let her solve them. How could he not agree to such a wonderful proposal?
After a while, the Professors all went back to their homes. He didn't know why those compulsory course Professors were so leisurely; sometimes he felt that he, a Professor of an elective course, was much busier than them.
However, the laziest person in all of Hogwarts shamelessly stayed behind.
"Have you decided on your adventure plan?" Dumbledore asked with a smile.
"Actually, there might not even be such an activity this year… I just told them that if I went out, I would take them with me," Kayson replied, lowering his mechanical arm and continuously adjusting it with a huge wrench.
"So… you'll be free during this holiday?" Dumbledore asked.
"....Do I look like that kind of cheap person? I won't work for free for you when I should be resting at home during the holidays."
"Don't worry, this job is definitely no worse than your adventures outside. You can eat, drink, and have fun at public expense, and even see Dragons. This time, the Ministry of Magic is funding an inspection of Dragon farms across Europe to find Dragons suitable for the first task of the Triwizard Tournament," Dumbledore said with a smile.
"....Public expense for eating and drinking?" Kayson glanced at Dumbledore.
"That's right."
"We're going to inspect and act like big shots."
"Yes."
"How much is the budget?"
"Three hundred Galleons a day."
"Holy cow, is the Ministry of Magic that corrupt?" Kayson was a little surprised: "The entire English Wizarding world has at most six thousand people. How much of the people's hard-earned money have they extorted?" Kayson was somewhat surprised by this number, as the Ministry of Magic's allocation seemed to treat money as if it were worthless.
"Galleons are a currency used throughout Europe and America; they are much more stable than you imagine, and they are real gold," Dumbledore explained.
"....Have you decided which Dragon farm to visit?" Kayson continued to ask.
"The Dragon farm in Romania will do. Ron's older brother, Charlie, is there; having an acquaintance will allow him to provide us with great convenience."
"No problem. You can go now," Kayson said with a smile, quite impolitely.
"Oh… alright." Dumbledore shrugged and walked out of the office.
In a flash.....
After the final exams....
"Ahem, those of us who plan to apply for civil service at the Ministry of Magic and those with pure Muggle blood, please stay," Kayson called out to nearly half the students after collecting the test papers.
"Speaking of which, this is quite embarrassing. Because of the Dementor incident at the beginning of this semester, Fudge had one of his arms cut off by me. Everyone knows, right? I don't like to gossip about others, but now for your sake, I've decided to say a few words."
"Fudge is a petty person. He probably still resents me for cutting off his arm, and since you've been my students for so long, he might make things difficult for you. So, I'm going to point out a few clear paths for you in advance." Kayson said, pulling chalk from his pocket and writing a few names on the blackboard.
"Nymphadora Tonks, she's your Hufflepuff senior, and she has a good relationship with Professor Lupin. Those who want to apply to the Auror Office can form a small group led by her. This way, you won't be easily bullied, after all, people always bully the weak and fear the strong, and having more friends doesn't hurt. Also, she doesn't like people calling her Nymphadora; always call her Tonks, no matter what."
"Kasli, I don't know if you remember her, the one who cried a lot. Those applying to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement can ask her to help look after you. She seems to have already entered a management position now, truly an excellent Little Wizards…"
"And for the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, if you have any problems, find Bradburn. He can help you get familiar with the work quickly, as it's very, very busy in there. If you're bullied, also find him. For the Department of Magical Games and Sports, find Cadwallader. A heads-up, you'll have achievements next semester."
After Kayson finished speaking, he pulled out a flask from his pocket and moistened his throat: "Next are the pure Muggle Little Wizards. We've all graduated, so I won't beat around the bush with you. To be frank, the English Wizarding world discriminates against Muggle Wizards. This is a fact. If you don't consider yourselves particularly resilient, unable to overcome the suppression of the entire Wizarding society, and still want a decent job, I'll point you to a clear path."
He wrote another name on the blackboard.
"Lyme Hardy, still your senior, pure Muggle-born. He's currently working as a secretary in the Prime Minister's office. You can find him and form a Wizarding subgroup in the Muggle world, centered around him, reporting to the Muggle Prime Minister. However, if you go this route, you'll have to continue studying Muggle knowledge, after all, you wouldn't want a Prime Minister's aide, secretary, or assistant in the TV news a few years from now to have only an elementary school diploma, would you?"
"You might not be embarrassed, but I am!" Kayson said, standing on the podium without lifting his feet, just waving his hand to signal the Little Wizards to get out quickly and stop lingering in front of him.
"Thank you, Professor," Penelope walked onto the podium and hugged Kayson, who shrugged helplessly. After all, it wasn't the first time, and he could handle such situations with ease.
"You let go of me first."
Penelope obediently let go.
"I showed you Eastern slides before, do you know the 'Divine Deer Turning Back'? Do one."
Penelope nodded and performed a 'Divine Deer Turning Back'.
Kayson took a deep breath and suddenly kicked Penelope in the rear, directly kicking her out of the classroom, not forgetting to shout at her: "Once you leave this classroom, throw away all sadness and reluctance. Look to the future, just like me. You might be reluctant to leave me, but I didn't hesitate for a second to kick you!"
"Anyone else?" Kayson said, spreading his arms into a Y-shape and smiling cheerfully.
Soon, after the last Little Wizards was kicked out by him, he finally returned to his office and began the arduous task of grading papers.
The exam was completed in the morning, and the papers were graded by evening. Just as he looked up, not yet planning to grab a drink to moisten his throat, he saw a somewhat familiar figure appear before him.
"Oh, Percy, what's wrong?" Kayson asked, looking at Percy, who had appeared at some unknown time and had been standing in front of him for an unknown period.
