Chapter 269 - Chapter 269 He is about to get a minor illness which won’t kill him but is very scary!

Ultimately, Lupin still accepted this arduous but great task under Professor Kayson's reasoned arguments.

Meanwhile, Kayson, now free, welcomed the third guest to his office today.

"Professor, did you call me?" Harry appeared before him.

"Yes, your scar, which hurts and easily causes strange emotions, requires an amulet," Kayson said, casually rubbing an Enchanting Table with his hands and pulling out two enchantment books with Binding Curse to place on the Enchanting Table.

"Professor, what are you doing?" Harry asked, puzzled.

"Don't worry about it," Kayson pulled out another Enchanting Table and directly lifted Harry onto it.

Then, using the enchantment book that came with the Enchanting Table, he found Harry's entry information, confirming there were indeed two souls.

Kayson distinguished the small portion of the soul belonging to Lord Voldemort and directly deleted it, but almost instantly, the deleted soul reattached itself like a stubborn plaster.

"What's going on... Is this a unique mechanism of a Horcrux soul?" Kayson frowned.

"Professor? What Horcrux?" Harry turned back and asked after hearing him.

"Oh, nothing," Kayson quickly shut up, temporarily giving up the idea of deleting Lord Voldemort's soul entry. Horcrux was a complete blank slate of knowledge for him; he knew absolutely nothing about it, nor had he researched its strange protective methods.

Or rather, most people in the world today are unfamiliar with this magic, and Dumbledore is no exception... After all, few fools would split their own souls.

The base number was still too small.

"Professor?" Harry asked, looking at Kayson, who was spacing out while flipping through an enchantment book.

"I'm fine," The latter took out the amulet made of a Beacon and a Totem of Undying. One Binding Curse connected to the Beacon, one Binding Curse connected to the Totem of Undying, and then both Binding Curses connected to Harry Potter's main soul.

"It's done," He casually pulled out a thin iron chain and made an oval holder to embed the Beacon block. After all, Harry was still a Quidditch player, and a cube was so sharp; what if one day he slid into it during Quidditch with his friends and it got stuck in his chest? That was very possible.

"Then I'll leave now?" Harry tilted his head, about to lift his foot, and then he quickly reacted: "I'm so fast!"

"Mm-hmm, this is a small side effect of your amulet. Actually, I first talked about this thing called a Beacon in the third-year class, but then I realized it was a bit advanced, so I threw the knowledge of Beacons into the advanced class," Kayson explained.

"Wow, I love you so much, Professor!" Harry said excitedly.

"I hope you love yourself too. Be careful."

After sending Harry away, this damn office welcomed another person, an old acquaintance, Cedric.

"So you grew your entire future height in just two hours?... No change, how much taller are you?" Kayson asked.

"Uh... three centimeters."

..."It's okay. If you don't like it, I can break your legs and you can drink some Bone-Healing Potion. Growing taller is very easy," Kayson unusually comforted him.

"It's okay, Professor, I think it's fine... I'm quite satisfied. I'm even taller than my father," Cedric said.

"Good attitude. Let's start. This notebook is yours. Design an extraordinary upgraded skeleton for yourself based on it. Remember to have your own characteristics. I hope you are an excellent student, not a copy of me," Kayson patted Cedric and said.

"Don't worry, Professor... How long did it take you to make this skeleton back then?" Cedric suddenly asked.

"About... six hours?"

Cedric suddenly felt a deep sense of frustration.

"Professor, can you help me ask for leave? My last class was Potion Class, and after that, this week is all easy classes for me, like Astronomy, History, Divination, and such."

"Do your own things."

"Then can I move my sleeping bag over?" Cedric asked again.

"There's a guest room upstairs," Kayson said, flipping through a book and pouring himself a glass of wine.

"Thank you, Professor!"

Unlike Cedric, who was engrossed in his work, Kayson casually pulled out a quill and scribbled in a book. Today, his office first had Cedric, then after Cedric left, Lupin, then after Lupin left, Harry, and after enchanting Harry, it was Cedric again.

It seemed his afternoon was damn full, indeed a whole afternoon in the Nether.

The next morning.....

Kayson, brushing his teeth as he came down from upstairs, looked at Cedric, who had only slept about four hours on the sofa last night and was once again getting up to work on his upgraded skeleton. He had already completed a full set of ribs and six vertebrae.

"Cedric, take a break," Kayson sighed.

"Professor, I'm not tired," Cedric replied.

"This is a small privilege I have as your Professor. Go upstairs and find a bed and cast a Stupefy on yourself," Kayson said, pulling out an Anvil: "If you don't want to, I'll give you a physical Stupefy."

"Alright..." Cedric stumbled to his feet, his legs feeling like lead as he walked upstairs, then with a thud, he collapsed evenly on the floor.

"Ah..." Kayson sighed, used a force field to envelop Cedric and sent him to the fourth-floor bedroom, then sat directly on the carpet, looking at Cedric's work...

Strictly speaking, the skeleton was quite well made, but unfortunately, there were some minor issues with the details.

Kayson looked for a long time, then took out a book and pen from his pocket and wrote down all those detailed problems one by one, for Cedric to slowly study after he woke up.

While Kayson was diligently teaching his student, Dumbledore, who was vigorously attacking sweets in the Headmaster's office, pulled out a disciplinary notice for Professor. This was something the Board of Governors had created, initially to encourage Professors to work harder. And this notice, though called a disciplinary notice, was merely a joint urging from Dumbledore and the Board of Governors to the Professors; in fact, there was no actual punishment.

But this thing did have targets.

For example, two Professors must receive this each semester. Previously, this usually went to the various Defense Against the Dark Arts Professors and Care of Magical Creatures Professors, but this year was different.

Hagrid was acting like a good person because outsiders were present, and Defense Against the Dark Arts Class was handled by a master like Grindelwald.

The other Professors were all highly competent. In fact, Kayson was also very competent, but the lesson plans that had been missing for four whole years still gave that shameless old scoundrel Dumbledore an opportunity.

And so, this "disciplinary notice," which was entirely consultative in tone, appeared in Kayson's hands. The other one was with Professor Trelawney.

Kayson, looking at the "disciplinary notice" in his hand, felt his life at Hogwarts was grim. He was giving Cedric special tutoring here, and Dumbledore was backstabbing him, huh?

Fine!

He decided!

He was immediately going to get a small illness that wouldn't kill him but would be very scary!

I said so!
