Snape's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at Kayson, who was lying on the sofa, throwing up rainbows, and Dumbledore quickly noticed him.
Snape looked at Kayson, then at Dumbledore, and quickly realized what a terrible mess was happening at that moment. He waved his hand, shooing everyone out except Kayson, then closed the door and looked at Kayson.
"Tell me, what new tricks are you up to now?" Snape directly pulled over a folding stool, sat on it, and asked faintly.
"Well, I ate too much maoxuewang hotpot, and then Dumbledore nauseated me, and I accidentally threw up again," Kayson said, a little embarrassed.
"Oh... I mean, why do they all look like someone died?" Snape rephrased his question.
Kayson casually pouted, explaining how he had been diligently working in his office to help Hogwarts win the Triwizard Tournament by giving Cedric special tutoring, and how he was fighting for Hogwarts.
But what about everyone else? Like Dumbledore, secretly stabbing him in the back? Is that right!
What's the difference between this kind of infuriating operation and eighteen imperial edicts?
The school board's fine, for some reason, fell on him for the trumped-up charge of not writing lesson plans. Is that right?
Snape's mouth twitched uncontrollably as he looked at the ceaselessly talking Kayson and sighed helplessly: "As long as you're happy... So what should I say? You're beyond saving?"
Kayson looked up at the ceiling: "Pretty much. You're the expert in this area. It's best if you add settings like 'cannot be stimulated,' 'cannot be sad,' or 'due to overwork' to make that old Dumbledore feel really heartbroken."
Snape nodded, stood up, and pushed open the door to the Medical Wing. He took a deep breath: "Beyond saving. Just wait to die."
Madam Pomfrey looked at Kayson, who was lying on the sofa, utterly bewildered, her expression crumbling. She then looked at Snape: "Huh?"
"Let him be happy in his final moments," Snape said before hurrying away, fearing he wouldn't be able to hold it together if he didn't leave quickly.
Madam Pomfrey rushed into the Medical Wing in a panic, accompanied by a feigning Cedric, in stark contrast to their frantic demeanor was Dumbledore...
Just now, the three of them were staring blankly at each other in the corridor when Dumbledore suddenly remembered one of his own abilities: Legilimency Master...
Hmm... Poor Cedric, he still didn't know that he had passively betrayed his Professor.
Dumbledore's back no longer ached, his legs no longer hurt, and he walked with a sprightly step to Kayson's side: "No matter what method we use, we will definitely save you, please rest assured."
Kayson weakly coughed twice: "Cough, cough, no need. I know my own body; there's no need to waste effort. Send me back to my office. I want to spend my last moments on my favorite renovation... no, on my educational career."
Dumbledore nodded: "No problem, I completely agree with your point of view." As he spoke, he supported Kayson's shoulder, and the next second they were back in the alchemy office. After another round trip, he sent Cedric back as well.
Back in the Medical Wing, Dumbledore looked at Madam Pomfrey's gaze, which was like looking at a beast, and shrugged helplessly: "You heard what Severus said. Let him be happy in his final moments, let him leave with dignity."
Madam Pomfrey sighed: "How could this happen?" She sat on a chair, her hands tucked under her bottom, swaying like a puppet: "He was such a good person... What should I do now... What should I do..."
Dumbledore ignored Madam Pomfrey and walked out of the Medical Wing on his own. He casually found a portrait: "Notify all Hogwarts students to gather in the Great Hall."
Meanwhile, back in the alchemy office, Kayson, who had poured himself a glass of whiskey, was leisurely guiding Cedric in assembling his skeleton.
Cedric meticulously worked on each part while referring to the special tutoring Kayson had given him earlier.
Soon, as the last part was handcrafted, an entire spine was lifted by him.
"Professor, please check if there are any problems," Cedric asked, handing the spine to Kayson.
The latter took it and casually swung it: "It's very good. Just add the Alchemy guide rail to increase its load-bearing capacity and transmit Alchemy signals. Also, don't forget your skull."
"Can't forget, can't forget..."
At this moment, Kayson and Cedric, enjoying their domestic bliss in the office, had no idea what great terror would appear before their eyes in just one minute.
A minute passed quickly. Kayson stood up, intending to change a record, and then he suddenly felt a strange vibration.
"What's going on? An earthquake?" He looked at Cedric.
"No, oh... Professor, I think you'd better lie down. I only see a thousand troops and ten thousand horses rushing towards you," Cedric murmured softly, looking blankly in the direction of the office door.
Kayson heard Cedric's response and subconsciously looked towards the door...
"Holy crap?"
Years later, Kayson would always remember the scene on the ice path in the office that day, with ice skating boats rushing towards him like Formula 1 race cars.
At that moment, he knew that his plan to feign illness, which he had come up with on a whim, had completely spiraled out of his control.
If he didn't immediately collapse to the ground and pretend to be on the verge of death, he would probably be thrown out the window by the enraged Little Wizards.
After all, the atmosphere had been set; not dying now would be rude.
"Professor? What should we do?" Cedric looked at Kayson with wide, trembling eyes, only to find that Kayson's figure was nowhere to be seen where he had just been standing.
From a different angle, Kayson, who had just been leisurely changing records, was now lying on the sofa, still looking as if his breath was barely there. The spine he had placed on the coffee table was now stained with blood, and combined with the bloodstains seeping from the sofa beneath Kayson, it looked exactly as if he had disassembled Professor Kayson's spine himself.
"Holy crap? They're not coming in peace, are they?" Cedric mumbled, bewildered.
