A gentle breeze blew through its orange-red fur, and the warm sunlight fell on its back. This was a feeling it hadn't experienced in decades.
"Mhm! The Eight Trigrams Sealing Style is super useful after all! Do you like this environment? If you're not satisfied, I can change it anytime! There's desert, caves, lakes, mountains, and even volcanoes! What do you think? Pretty amazing, right?"
Kurama's ears twitched slightly. It deliberately turned its head away, avoiding Naruto's expectant gaze. "...It's alright. Just keep it like this."
Kurama's voice was feignedly cold, but a wave of indescribable warmth was welling up inside it. Looking at Naruto's brilliant smile, like he was showing off, it really wanted to say a word of praise.

But now, if Naruto were really in danger... it definitely wouldn't just stand by, would it?
On a desolate path on the border of the Land of Fire, a seemingly ordinary figure was speeding along at an astonishing rate. The man, dressed in the simple clothes of a traveler, left shallow dents in the ground with every step, his speed so fast it almost left an afterimage—undoubtedly, this was a well-trained ninja.
This was Naruto's shadow clone, disguised with a Transformation Jutsu. After quietly leaving Konoha with the Flying Thunder God Technique, he had been traveling for a full day and night. He was now crossing the border of the Land of Fire and heading northeast.
The whistling wind rushed past his ears. Naruto's golden hair was a plain brown under the transformation. His destination was clear—the Land of Grass.
With another leap in strength, Naruto finally set his sights on that member of his clan.
He was going to take Karin Uzumaki and her mother away.
