Chapter 20 - Arriving at the Earth civilization

Noah's search skill was already activated, but there was no sign of life within this range of the area. That meant the predator was more than 10 km away from him.

Then why did he feel that someone had locked onto him? It was a hunch, a sixth sense formed by the high spirit value he possessed at this moment.

"What is it? I am flying at such a high speed but still something has noticed me? And it feels like I am about to have a problem now."

A loud roar came from far away. Instantly, an enormous life force entered his search domain, closing the gap at an alarming speed. This creature was moving at more than 50 km per second.

Judging by its pace, it should be around 65 km per second.

All these thoughts flashed through his mind in a split second.

Noah could fly faster, but it would place a huge toll on his body.

He pushed himself to speed up, reaching around 60 km per second.

Yet the thing was still closing the distance, and suddenly—boom!

It appeared above him.

It was a Pterosaur, the flying species of dinosaurs. But this one was around 20 meters long.

It was like a mythical creature had come out of legend.

It roared again.

"Damn! Now dinosaurs are appearing?"

He remembered the dinosaur movies he had watched, which once gave him the idea of visiting Jurassic Park. But now that he was in such a situation, all he could feel was fear.

This damn thing was powerful. He activated scanning mode.

[Subject: Ancient Pterosaur

Level: 45 (Demon King)

Talent: Heat sensitive]

It was a Demon King, meaning a gold-level monster.

It swooped down from above, trying to catch him, but Noah barely managed to dodge. He was already flying at 65 km per second when he suddenly saw something ahead of him.

Roar!

It was a T-Rex, ready to bite him.

That beast was 50 meters tall, with a huge spiked tail.

Now one enemy was above him and another blocked his path. He needed only 100 seconds to escape this forest, but now he had to slow down. He could not go straight anymore.

The skin of that T-Rex looked incredibly thick. He was not sure if he could even cut it with his dagger.

Then another Pterosaur appeared. This entire region was filled with dinosaurs, but in monstrous forms.

At least 10 new types of dinosaurs appeared in no time.

He would have to choose carefully his next move.

But what was there to choose? They had to die.

He decided to take the absolute risk.

He would use the Flash skill. Within 10 seconds, his speed would become 680 km per second. He would need around 7 seconds to reach Earth's civilization.

That would leave him 3 seconds to kill them all and sell their corpses. The money would secure his survival later.

He did not know when he would wake up again after this level of destruction, or what would occur.

Flash!

He activated the skill and instantly his speed increased tenfold.

With his two daggers in hand, he sliced through all 10 dinosaurs in just 2.5 seconds and touched their corpses to sell them. He did not even wait to hear the notification before accelerating north at full speed.

His skin was burning from the air friction.

All his organs were being crushed, but he could not stop.

Then the notification rang.

[Ding! You have killed ten dinosaurs. 25 million exp is added to your panel. 25 million coins are also added to your panel.]

Twenty-five million? Each dinosaur was a gold-tier monster, so they should have given around 50 to 60 thousand exp and coins each. But with his 20x multiplier, the total became 25 million.

It was a huge gain. But his brain was not functioning properly anymore. His only thought was to reach Earth's civilization.

Five seconds passed. He had already left the forest and was now flying across a desert.

His skin and underlying fat had burned away, and now even his flesh was scorching.

"Ah!" He roared as he felt himself colliding with something. He lost consciousness in midair and slammed into the ground.

Boom!

A huge crater appeared where he crashed.

He had entered Earth's civilization, or rather, the area where their civilization was located.

The sound created a massive commotion.

"What happened? Someone entered our territory? Did the system not say we still have some time left before the protection period ends? Then how could someone enter?"

Everyone gathered near the crater. Some even cried in fear. They had not yet grown accustomed to this world.

Panic spread. Every evening, they saw thousands of monsters outside the barrier, trying to enter their territory. The protection barrier kept them safe for now, but it would vanish in 3 days. No one knew what to do or where to go.

The leaders, especially those with S-rank talents, gathered to discuss about the their next move every day.

There were 5 S-ranked talents in the territory.

Right now only two were inside the territory. One of them turned to another. "Trevor, do you have any idea what happened here?"

Trevor, an 18-year-old youth and the most talented among all of them, shook his head. "I don't know. Let's find out first."

"Be careful," someone warned from behind.

Trevor descended into the crater and looked at Noah's burned body. He froze in shock. This was a humanoid creature.

He slowly approached and placed his finger on the neck. There was a pulse, but it was faint.

Trevor called out, "Fiona, I think he is human. But I do not know the details. You should come and heal him."

Fiona, the S-ranked healer, frowned.

"Have you lost your mind? How could a human appear here out of nowhere?"

Trevor replied firmly, "He is probably the missing person we were looking for. We only have 9,999 people here, but the system clearly said 10,000 were transmigrated. I think he is the last one, and somehow he arrived here now. But his condition is terrible. If we do not treat him, he will die. Hurry up."

His statement made everyone gasp.

Indeed, they had been missing one person. They had searched around their territory during the day but found nothing, so they assumed the person had died and never arrived.

But now, their most intelligent leader claimed that the last man had appeared in this manner? From where? And how was he still alive after creating such a massive crater? He should have been reduced to paste.

Fiona hesitated but walked forward. When she saw the body, she felt Trevor might be right.

She knelt beside Noah and placed her hand on him.

"Here goes nothing. I am counting on you, Trevor, if anything happens."

The other three S-ranked talents had already gone outside with the hunting team to gather food and supplies.

Fiona was unsure because Noah's body looked terrifying, with no recognizable features remaining.

Still, she pressed on. A soft green glow began to flow from her hand into Noah. His skin started to heal slightly, but soon she exhausted her mana.

"I will have to treat him slowly," Fiona said.

Trevor nodded and carried Noah into a nearby tent.
