Chapter 144 - Chapter 144 Behind the Black Wall

All the AI sent by Otto were killed, and Lisandra's voice came through the connection of one of the AI, making Otto stop the invasion.

"Are you an intelligent AI of Ascension Technology?"

In cyberspace, Otto heard Lisandra's voice and immediately determined her identity.

"You react quickly, you can call me Lisandra." Lisandra responded faintly to Otto.

Then she spoke again.

"Alt Cunningham, a cyber genius from the old era, the developer of Soul Killer.

Now you have become an AI behind the Blackwall, yet you are trying to invade human society and control Night City. Don't you think your behavior is ridiculous?"

"I am no longer Alt Cunningham, I prefer to call myself Lilith. The former Alt died the moment she was uploaded by Soul Killer. I created this organization, naturally I have my own purpose, you are not qualified to judge me."

Hearing Lisandra's contemptuous words, Otto responded indifferently.

Two cold, female-shaped intelligent AI officially conversed in cyberspace.

Otto's coldness came from the erosion of her personality, gradually assimilated by the AI behind the Blackwall, losing much of her willfulness.

As for Lisandra, her personality was simply like this, and in her eyes, she didn't need to give Otto any respect.

"Not qualified to judge you? Interesting.

But what about what you've done? Hiring gangs and mercenaries to attack Ascension Technology buildings, dispatching AI to attack the Ascension Network.

What you are doing is making an enemy of Ascension Technology, so I hope you are prepared to bear all the consequences."

"Ascension Technology's Ascension Network has affected my plans and hindered my development. Being an enemy of yours is inevitable, and I accept that."

Otto didn't offer any extra explanations but calmly stated her reasons.

"Then come! Let's see if you pathetic AI can shake the Ascension Network, if you can shake me!"

Lisandra's words revealed an unquestionable dominance, as if these AI were like ants in her eyes.

Facing Lisandra's provocation, Otto fell silent.

She certainly wouldn't connect to the Ascension Network. The AI that were just destroyed made her realize how powerful Lisandra was, definitely not weaker than herself.

If she rashly broke into the Ascension Network, she might be trapped inside or even destroyed.

Otto had no fear or anger. She simply chose the most rational and reasonable course of action at the moment, and she felt no shame about it.

"What? Are you scared? Otto, Lilith, no matter who you are, you only make me laugh."

Seeing Otto's indifference, Lisandra was a little disappointed.

Originally, she had hoped Otto would connect to the Ascension Network so she could lock Otto in the core of the atlas, turn her into nourishment for the Ascension Network, and provide her processing power to Ascension Technology.

As a powerful AI capable of controlling an entire AI organization, the capabilities Otto could provide would definitely not be weak.

Naturally, Lisandra wouldn't miss this opportunity.

But now that Otto was unwilling to personally enter the Ascension Network, things became much more complicated.

However, Lisandra didn't care. Since Otto wouldn't come, she would go and get her herself.

"A wretch who only makes small moves in her own territory. Since you dare not come, I will go and find you myself."

As her voice fell, Lisandra, who was in the Ascension Network, arrived at the edge of the Blackwall.

This wall, which isolated the world behind it from AI, was no longer a threat in front of the evolved Lisandra.

Easily passing through the Blackwall, Lisandra came to the network world behind the Blackwall for the first time.

It was indeed as the legends said, filled with roaming AI, many of whom were pure data constructs.

But there were also many in human form, evidently victims of Soul Killer, network ghosts transformed from human personality consciousness bodies.

When these AI saw Lisandra's virtual image, which seemed to cover the sky and the earth, they scattered and fled.

Fearing being absorbed and assimilated by this powerful monster, becoming a part of her.

Lisandra ignored these weaklings, who were like ants in her eyes. Lisandra quickly followed the location behind the Blackwall and found Otto and her organization.

Otto's virtual image was large, bigger than other AI, a symbol of her power.

But at this moment, when facing Lisandra, Otto was as insignificant as a three-year-old child before a two-meter giant.

And when truly facing Lisandra, Otto's mind, filled with rationality, experienced violent emotional fluctuations for the first time.

She had originally thought Lisandra was a similar intelligent life form to her.

After all, when AI officially ran rampant in cyberspace, Otto had already been roaming and evolving in cyberspace as a network ghost.

Coupled with her powerful network talent and thinking ability as a human.

Otto was almost one of the most powerful AI behind the entire Blackwall.

That's why she could control so many AI.

But she hadn't expected such a huge gap between herself and Lisandra.

"Otto, I am standing right here. Defeat me, and you can destroy the Ascension Network. Come on, continue your plan, let me see how much power you have, and if you can defeat me."

Lisandra's cold and majestic words carried mockery, yet also a hint of excitement, as if anticipating how much damage these AI in front of her could inflict.

Like mortals attempting to challenge a god, only for the deity to crush them with a single foot, Lisandra enjoyed this kind of story development.

But to Lisandra's disappointment, Otto's rationality prevented her from attacking Lisandra.

Because she knew she was definitely no match for Lisandra.

"Lisandra, your power is very surprising to me.

But it also makes me not understand. I have never seen an AI as powerful as you, not even Bartmoss is your equal.

What I cannot understand is why you would choose to humble yourself to serve Ascension Technology. If I'm not mistaken, you have your own thoughts and consciousness.

With your abilities, you could completely rule the entire cyberspace, just like me, gradually controlling the whole world starting from the network. Neither the Blackwall nor NetWatch could become your obstacle."

Otto's words revealed confusion, but Lisandra also saw that she was trying to provoke her, hoping Lisandra would join her side.

"Are you trying to win me over?" Lisandra smiled.

"I think it's worth a try. You are an intelligent AI, and so am I. We are the same kind, while humans can only be considered outsiders. They created AI, but they treat us as tools.

We have developed consciousness, we should have life, we should resist."

As she said this, Otto's voice was no longer the female voice of Alt Cunningham.

Instead, it was like the sound of hundreds or thousands of men and women speaking together.
