Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

[Host you are currently a first rank; with the blood of demon god running through your body, your efforts will be rewarded]

[Main mission: Achieve rank 2 (demonic reward)]

"You mean if I train hard, my abilities will improve?"

[That's correct host]

[Remember also that behaviors that enhance your status or satisfy you through the cardinal sins that influence you will grant you rewards]

"Wait, the what?" asked Marc trying to contain his bewilderment.

-You will ruin the page of the book. -Asfil looked sideways as Mart pressed one of the pages of the book with his fingers.

-Thank you, I was so focused, I didn't notice. -Mart replied and at the end smiled charmingly.

Asfil watched Evans' smile, sighed with pretended disinterest and went back to reading.

[You acquired Pandemonium]

[Pandemonium: Everything a true demon should be (???)]

"I guess you can't explain more?"

[That's right, my host is a genius]

"Why I feel like you're making fun of me"

This time the system didn't respond, Mart continued reading, the rest of the information the book offered helped him to get familiar with some concepts of the demonic world, but it was very superficial regarding important topics.

"I'll have to do more research on demonic energy absorption techniques and that Cursed cannon."

When Professor Helen left, recess was about to begin. He stood up and asked Asfil:

-I'm going to the cafeteria shall we go together?

Asfil looked thoughtful, then stored his book in a golden bracelet with a scarlet elliptical gem, she stood up and answered serenely:

-Come on.

-Is that a storage device?

-It's a gift from my grandmother. -Asfil replied, looking ready to return to her seat.

-It has the same function as my demon bag. -He showed her the black bag with gold thread that fit in the palm of his hand. -Let's not wait any longer.

Asfil watched Mart as they walked. "You don't care about the origin of the bracelet? It doesn't matter, when he gets bored he'll stay away from me too, I mustn't go near him," she thought the instant they entered the cafeteria.

When the day's academic day was over, Mart walked through the halls of the Academy, he subtly observed the students, there were humanoid beings with different particulate features, but in the end they all looked like people in cosplay to him.

"Yeah, let's imagine it as an Academy of cosplay freaks, at least until I'm ready to face them, no, until I can avoid getting my ass kicked"

Evans walked into his room, took off his uniform, and headed to the bathroom, he planned to read for the rest of the afternoon and evening before going to bed.

In the world there are three species that rule the world, the dragon race, whose whereabouts are unknown; the despicable human race; and the glorious demon race.

"No doubt there is not much fairness here; I must avoid being found out," thought Mart as he was reading a book written by an experienced explorer respected in the demon country.

However, there are a number of beings of different minor species, who, because of their behaviors and characteristics, are known as the monster race.

Marrac Mountain is a huge mountain, so large that it has mountains within itself, with plains, valleys and more, it is a small and fabulous world that has been conquered by nature and allows the corrupt monster race to inhabit its lands.

The corrupted monster race are those monsters contaminated by a dark and ominous energy, which gives them strength but makes them succumb to their basest desires and instincts.

"Why does that sound familiar," Mart thought as he related the mysterious energy to the demon god's blood that circulated through his body.

Some of the monsters that can be found in the Marrac Mountains:

Orcs: humanoid beings, stocky, with grayish skin, fierce look, as they are contaminated their main impulse is to kill mercilessly, although others are inclined to a voracious sexual desire. They are strong beings, who absorb the energy of the environment and almost spontaneously use it to strengthen their bodies and attacks...

Goblin, malicious beings by nature, their skin has acquired a black color, because of the dark energy that is compatible with them, it is known that they usually attack in groups, they devour everything, except women, whom they use to reproduce and devour them when they are no longer useful...

Ogres, beings with skin similar to that of a toad, they are territorial and strong, their greatest desire is devouring, they usually go without clothes, or only cover themselves with small skins of animals or beasts...

Troll, be careful where you step, these beings are nocturnal, sunlight leaves them partially blind, but at dusk their sight is one of the best, sometimes they sleep so much that their bodies are filled with moss, if you mistake them for solid ground, and wake them up, if you are not at the top of second rank, you will not be able to escape, and if you are in the third rank, you must check the rank of the monster, or you will just become food....

"These are not the capital traits; I am more and more certain that this is related to the demon god's blood."

Mart continued reading, after finishing reading the description about the monsters; he read the description about the demonic beasts and the magical beasts, these were differentiated through the energy they possessed, which could be mana or demonic energy; the next thing he read was the description about the animals.

"Wow, the animals are at the bottom of the chain, even the demons consider them the optimal prey to be hunted in the mountain"

After finishing reading, he realized that only a third of that mountain had been explored, despite the risks it might seem, it was something that the Academy did every year, so he decided not to think about it too much and went to bed.
