Monster Hunter ranking system

D-Rank – Novice Hunter

First-stage hunters learning survival and weapon control. Small prey (Jaggi, Vespoid, Aptonoth). 1★–2★

C-Rank – Apprentice Hunter Can solo mid-level beasts and maintain gear integrity. Mid monsters (Great Jaggi, Tetsucabra).

3★–4★

B-Rank – Adept Hunter

Experienced hunter with solid combat sense and resilience. Large monsters (Barroth, Rathian). 5★–6★

A-Rank – Veteran Hunter

Skilled veteran, able to command teams or solo apex-tier hunts. Elder beasts, regional threats. 7★–8★

S-Rank – Elite Hunter

Exceptional hunters with refined instincts and high adaptability. Rare species, Elder Dragons. 9★–10★

SS-Rank – Legendary Hunter

Rare individuals whose names shape guild history. Apex and catastrophic species; world-level threats. 11★–12★

SSS-Rank – Mythic Hunter

"Beyond the Guild." Operates outside known jurisdiction. Capable of facing gods or world-ending entities. Only a handful exist per century. Elder-tier or unclassified anomalies. 13★–14★

EX-Rank – Transcendent Hunter Not a rank — a myth. Reserved for those whose existence reshapes the law of the hunt. Recognized by neither Guild nor history. Unknown; entities beyond Elder class (e.g., Eternal-tier beings). ∞ (Unquantifiable)
