Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Isekai?!

"A blessing?" Gojo repeated the word, tilting his head with a look of mild curiosity. The term was new, another piece of data for this strange world.

Was it similar to a Cursed Technique? A natural gift? He wasn't about to reveal his complete ignorance. With a shrug and a lazy smile, he decided to play it cool.

"Let's just say it's useful enough for me to survive," he answered Felt, his tone suggesting it was the most obvious thing in the world. He then glanced towards the gaping hole in the wall.

"And it seems she herself has some pretty useful 'blessing' to survive even that."

Outside, sprawled on the grimy cobblestones, Elsa's body was a broken mess. But as Gojo watched, a faint glow enveloped her.

Bones audibly snapped back into place, torn muscle and flesh weaving themselves back together at a visible, supernatural rate.

Just as her form was nearly whole again, Gojo appeared directly in front of her, squatting down to get a closer look, an unnerving, analytical smile playing on his lips.

Elsa's eyes fluttered open, her signature sultry smile returning despite the pain. "My, my," she purred, her voice raspy. "Are you the kind of man who gets aroused by seeing a woman in pain?"

"Sorry, not really interested in you or that," Gojo replied dismissively, his blue eyes focused entirely on her regenerating wounds. "It's just that you're healing. That's pretty neat."

His reaction caught Elsa completely off guard. He wasn't gloating or preparing a finishing blow. He was smiling because she was healing. As if he was hoping for the fight to continue.

To Gojo, this was fascinating. In his world, this was the pinnacle of jujutsu sorcery, a feat few could master: Reverse Cursed Technique.

While he knew this world had a different power system and he'd already learned about "healing magic," seeing it work this rapidly, this autonomously, was impressive.

A high-speed regeneration that wasn't consciously cast.

He stood up slowly, dusting off his pants. "Do you want to live?" he asked, his tone suddenly devoid of its earlier playfulness.

Elsa's smile became a sneer. "Do you want me to beg for that?"

"Nah," Gojo said with a sigh. "But if I spare you… you'll definitely come back. For me, for those kids. It's your whole thing, right? You seem like the type who doesn't abandon a contract." He paused, looking down at her as if contemplating a simple math problem.

"So, killing you here is just the most logical move. Efficient, you know? So… let's just say goodbye."

He raised his right hand, pointing his index and middle fingers towards her. At the tip, a small, brilliant red orb began to manifest. It didn't just glow; it seemed to consume the light around it, a tiny, condensed sun that warped the very air, radiating an oppressive, absolute power.

Elsa was just seconds from being fully healed, but her every animalistic instinct, honed over a lifetime of killing, was screaming a single, frantic command: RUN. RUN AND DON'T EVER LOOK BACK.

The moment her feet were solid beneath her, she didn't hesitate. She bolted sideways, a black blur against the dark alley walls. She was impossibly fast, a phantom of speed. But not fast enough to escape the inevitable.

As she ran, her feet suddenly left the ground. A shimmering blue aura enveloped her, and she began to float, lifted helplessly into the sky as if grabbed by an invisible giant. She was a puppet on unseen strings, trapped and exposed.

From the ground, Gojo flicked his fingers. "Bye-bye."

He released the red orb. It shot forward, not as an explosion, but as a wave of pure, repulsive force. The red light washed over Elsa. For a moment, nothing happened.

Then, her skin began to peel away, her clothes, her flesh, her very bones pushed apart on a fundamental level.

There was no scream, only the silent, complete and utter annihilation of the Bowel Hunter.

Gojo didn't wait to see the final result. He was done here. He turned and walked casually back into the inn.

Upon entering, he saw the silver-haired girl, Emilia, kneeling beside the large, muscular man named Rom or as Felt was saying her name again and again by his side.

A soft, green light emanated from her hands, and the deep gashes on the old man's body were visibly closing.

"Oh, you can use that too," Gojo observed conversationally. "I mean, healing magic."

Before Emilia could answer, Subaru rushed forward, his face pale but determined. "Where is Elsa?!"

Gojo blinked. "Elsa? Who's that?"

"Elsa! The woman who was just trying to kill us!" Subaru clarified, exasperated.

"Oh, that," Gojo said, a flicker of recognition in his eyes. He waved a dismissive hand. "She's gone. Like, gone gone."

A massive wave of relief washed over Subaru, so potent he almost sagged to the floor. "Thank god," he breathed out. "I don't want to tell you how many times she killed me."

The inn went quiet. Gojo stopped, his head tilting again, that curious look returning. "You're standing right here," he said slowly, his Six Eyes peering into the boy. "What do you mean, 'many times'?"

Subaru froze, realizing his massive slip-up. "Nothing! It was a figure of speech!" he said quickly, waving his hands frantically. "Yeah, just a figure of speech! A saying! Nothing else!"

Gojo stared at him for a long moment, then his gaze drifted down, his focus finally shifting from threats and powers to the person in front of him. "Now that you mention it…" he began, a slow smile spreading across his face as he took in Subaru's orange and black athletic wear. "…you're wearing a tracksuit."

Subaru blinked, following Gojo's gaze to his own clothes, then back up to Gojo's stark, dark uniform.

It was an outfit that screamed "modern," completely out of place in this medieval fantasy setting. A wild, impossible thought sparked in his mind.

"And now that you mention it," Subaru replied, his voice a mixture of shock and dawning realization.

"You're wearing something that's definitely not standard for an isekai fantasy world." He took a hesitant step forward. "Don't tell me… you're from Japan?"
