Chapter 107 - Before the First Strike

Night draped over Incheon like a funeral shroud.

Two of Speed Faction's best scouts slipped quietly through alleys, their footsteps soundless against broken pavement. Their orders were simple, but dangerous—track the Dark Crocodile Society's reinforcements and report back.

One scout whispered, his breath visible in the cold air:

"Jaegyeon's counting on us. No mistakes."

The other nodded, but his eyes were sharp with fear.

"If the rumors are true… then we're not hunting men. We're hunting monsters."

They moved past shuttered shops and broken streetlights until they found themselves near the abandoned shipping yard—now crawling with black-coated Crocodile foot soldiers.

And at the center… they saw them.

🦂 The Enforcers Revealed

A figure stood atop a container, his silhouette tall and commanding—Zhao Chen. His cigarette burned like a lone ember in the dark, the smoke curling upward as though the city itself bent to his will.

Beside him, his four enforcers loomed, each one exuding an aura that made even hardened soldiers seem small.

Qin Wei smashed a concrete block with his bare fist, laughing at the terrified reaction of Crocodile recruits. His body was corded muscle, veins bulging, eyes wild.

Liang Zhang casually drew his blade across the air, the steel singing a high-pitched note that sent shivers down the spine. Sparks danced when he tested its edge against the container wall—cutting through the metal like paper.

Han Long stood quietly, his steel chains coiled around his arms. With a flick of his wrist, the links screeched, wrapping around a steel pole before crushing it into twisted ruin.

Jiang Feng, the calmest of them all, simply watched with eyes as cold as ice. He held no weapon, yet the way he moved—measured, precise—was enough to make the spies' throats dry.

Zhao Chen finally spoke, his voice smooth but chilling.

"Tomorrow, we begin the hunt. Jaegyeon Na, Cheon Ma, Speed Faction… all will be divided, crushed, erased. We will make Incheon remember the name of the Crocodile."

The soldiers roared in unison, their voices echoing like thunder across the yard.

😨 The Spies' Horror

The two Speed scouts froze in terror. Their bodies screamed to run, but fear rooted them in place. The power they had just witnessed was beyond comprehension.

One whispered, trembling:

"These… these aren't men. They're monsters."

The other swallowed hard, eyes wide as he pulled his comrade back.

"We need to report this. Now. Jaegyeon has to know—we're up against demons in human skin."

They vanished back into the alleys, their hearts pounding like war drums.

The underground tunnels were unusually tense.

Speed Faction spies had returned from their reconnaissance, their clothes dusty and their eyes wide as if they had stared death itself in the face. They dropped their reports on the table, sweat dripping down their foreheads.

"They've arrived," one spy said, his voice shaking.

"The Dark Crocodile Society has brought their Chinese reinforcements into the city. Zhao Chen… and four terrifying enforcers with him. They aren't ordinary men. The things we saw them do…" His words trailed off, and the others looked pale, recalling images of concrete split apart, steel torn like paper, and casual demonstrations of monstrous strength.

The room went quiet. All eyes shifted toward Jaegyeon Na and the disguised Cheon Ma (Daniel).

🗡️ Planning the Counterattack

Jaegyeon broke the silence.

"If this is true, then the storm has come. What will we do? Cheon Ma—why don't you call your king? Have him send his forces here to fight alongside us."

Daniel leaned back slightly, his sharp eyes narrowing. He spoke calmly, but his tone carried iron weight.

"If my king brings his men here, then Gwangseong will be left open. Cheongryong and Union together have 2000–2500 soldiers. To face the Dark Society head-on, my king would need to send 90% of his force. That would leave Gwangseong vulnerable… and you know what the Dark Crocodile Society would do if they smelled weakness. They'd strike, and strike hard. My king won't gamble his city for this."

The faction members exchanged uneasy glances.

⚡ Sebastian's Voice

Sebastian clenched his fist, his bandaged knuckles white.

"Then we'll combine our forces. Speed and your Gwangseong together. That way, we'll stand a chance."

Daniel's head shook almost instantly, his voice cutting through the tension.

"No. Even if we combine, the difference will still be too great. They outnumber us. They have foot soldiers to throw at us endlessly. We can't win a war of attrition."

He leaned forward, his tone colder.

"So we won't fight their army. We'll crush their key figures. When the head falls, the body disintegrates. Soldiers without leaders will scatter like frightened rats."

The words hung in the air. The logic was brutal, but flawless.

---

🐉 Jaegyeon's Decision

Jaegyeon studied Daniel carefully. He saw not just a fighter but a man who thought like a general—calculating, ruthless, and unflinching. After a moment of heavy silence, he finally nodded.

"Fine. We'll follow your plan. You'll take Zhao Chen. The rest of us will face the reinforcements. We cut the head, and the beast dies."

Everyone in the room looked tense, but one by one, they agreed. The strategy was simple, dangerous, but the only chance they had.

🌅 The Next Morning

Morning came.

The skies above Incheon were gray, heavy, as if the city itself held its breath. Streets were empty except for whispers—civilians watching from shadows, waiting, praying.

Two forces prepared to clash.

On one side, the Dark Crocodile Society, their Chinese reinforcements armored in cold confidence, Zhao Chen and his four enforcers standing like executioners ready to claim their prize.

On the other side, the battered yet unyielding Speed Faction, with Daniel—Cheon Ma—standing among them, his presence heavy like a storm waiting to break.

Every whisper across the city carried the same thought:

Today, one side will be crushed.

Today, a victor will emerge—and Incheon will never be the same.
