Chapter 181 - Chapter 181 Tribesmen

After Yuuki left the experimental building, he looked back.

Sasori, don't disappoint me!

Yuuki didn't care what choice Sasori would make; everything was going according to plan anyway.

Then Yuuki went straight home, to Shisui's house.

As soon as he entered the courtyard, he saw several figures sitting there, which slightly surprised Yuuki.

He only called one person, so why did three show up?

Then, with a quick glance, he clearly saw the other two; it turned out to be these two brothers.

The three of them also looked over at the same time when they heard the movement.

"Clan Head-sama!"

"Hokage-sama!" x2

Yuuki nodded in response.

"Yashiro, Tekka, Inabi, why are you here?"

Yuuki's words were directed at all three, but his eyes were on Yashiro, asking him to explain what was going on.

Among these three, besides Yashiro, Uchiha Tekka and Uchiha Inabi were both 'mainstays' of the Military Police Force.

If Yuuki remembered correctly, these two were on the list, and at a time like this, Yuuki didn't understand why Yashiro had called them over.

Yashiro lowered his head and said in a deep voice.

"Clan Head-sama, those clansmen no longer trust me; after all, I truly don't have the talent to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan, and I can't find a reason to keep delaying!"

Yuuki nodded in understanding.

After all, when you're making promises, you don't expect a real cake to appear, but at least let people see some flour dust!

Yashiro managed to string them along for three years without being completely exposed; it must not have been easy!

"Tell me about the situation with the clansmen. How many people still can't see the situation clearly?"

Yashiro immediately responded upon hearing this.

"Clan Head-sama, over the past three years, some people have gradually lost hope and left. Coupled with Clan Head-sama's excellent governance, only one-fifth of the original number are still holding on!"

As expected of a famous hawk from the original story, his way of praising people is so direct.

What Yuuki learned from other sources wasn't that simple, so he pressed further.

"And what else?"

Yashiro answered somewhat awkwardly.

"The remaining clansmen are more radical in their thinking. They still long for their past freedom and are somewhat resistant to the various systems of the current Military Police Force. Moreover, they have secretly recruited many Ninja, including some Ninja who are not Uchiha."

Yashiro spoke cryptically, but how could Yuuki not understand?

It was simply that although Yuuki had expanded the power of the Military Police Force, he had correspondingly increased many duties and restrictions.

These guys didn't want power, they didn't want respect; they wanted privileges, privileges that would put them above other Ninja Clans and other Ninja.

The kind that didn't require fulfilling duties!

As for being able to recruit outsiders within the Military Police Force, Yuuki wasn't very surprised, after all, such people exist everywhere.

Yuuki nodded without speaking, his gaze constantly sweeping back and forth between Tekka and Inabi.

Seeing this, Yashiro lowered his head again and said.

"Clan Head-sama, I'm sorry. Tekka and Inabi have been my friends since childhood. I truly can't bear to see them die. Please, Clan Head-sama, spare them for the sake of my efforts all these years!"

Yuuki was furious after hearing this?

Forget about others, don't you, Yashiro, understand me?

When did I ever say I was going to kill them!

Damn it, it was only when I was forced by Konoha to confront Fugaku early, and to solidify my power, I forced an Elder to die and killed a three-tomoe clansman.

That completely left the impression of being ruthless in the eyes of the clansmen.

In all my life, I've only dealt with two clansmen, and one wasn't even by my own hand. If I hadn't firmly grasped power at that time, you wouldn't even know what you would have gone through!

Finally, Yuuki sighed in his heart.

Alas!

Forget it, let it be a misunderstanding. The situation today was already fated when the choice was made.

As for those people, Yuuki had his own arrangements. Such people will always exist; it just depends on how they are used.

"Yashiro, you don't actually need to be like this. They are all my clansmen; how could I lay a hand on my own clansmen?"

Yashiro looked up with some joy, gazing at Yuuki's smiling face, and said earnestly.

"Thank you, Clan Head-sama!"

It seems Yashiro has a deep misunderstanding of himself!

"Hmm, Yashiro, you go back first. Organize another gathering tomorrow. It's time for them to make their choice!"

"Yes, Clan Head-sama, we will take our leave now."

Then Yashiro led the two, intending to depart, having just taken two steps.

"Tekka, Inabi, stay!"

Yuuki's voice once again reached the ears of the three.

"Clan Head-sama, this..."

"Do I need to repeat myself?"

Yashiro's mouth was slightly agape, but he said nothing more and left alone.

After Yashiro's figure completely disappeared, only Yuuki and the two brothers remained in the courtyard.

Tekka and Inabi were somewhat nervous, as in their hearts, Yuuki was the kind of person who didn't care about his clansmen, always siding with other families and commoners.

Especially since Yuuki was powerful and would act against clansmen without hesitation.

Whether it was forcing an Elder to die on the night he became Clan Head, or later expanding the Military Police Force and ruthlessly kicking out unqualified clansmen from the Military Police Force.

This made Tekka and Inabi, who considered the Uchiha bloodline to be incredibly noble, feel that Yuuki was constantly ruining the reputation of the Uchiha Clan.

When one dislikes someone, one can only see their flaws.

Yuuki didn't care that some within the Clan were always unhappy with him as Clan Head; he wasn't truly loved by everyone.

He didn't need to force all clansmen to accept and respect him.

As long as most clansmen accepted him, those who disliked him had no choice.

Moreover, guided by Yashiro, these guys were all mainstays of the Military Police Force, working harder and performing better than others!

Having different voices within the Clan was normal; for all clansmen to be of one mind, that was a special privilege only small clans could enjoy.

In the original story, only three Uchiha remained: Obito, Itachi, and Sasuke.

Yet even these three were still of three different minds!

Yuuki saw their nervousness but said nothing, just quietly watched the two.

A strange atmosphere permeated the courtyard.

After a long while, Tekka, who had the least patience, finally couldn't hold back and asked.

"Hokage-sama, is there something you need us for?"

Yuuki glanced at Tekka, then looked at Inabi.

Inabi's gaze was similar to Tekka's, waiting for Yuuki's answer.

Yuuki didn't answer them but spoke of other matters.

"Tekka, Inabi, ever since I became Clan Head, I first killed Danzo Shimura, who constantly targeted our Clan."

"Then, I vigorously developed the Military Police Force, and during the war, the Military Police Force's prestige resounded throughout the Ninja World, and Ninja once again recognized the Uchiha!"

"Now, I have even become the Hokage of Konoha. Since Clan Head Madara established Konoha, I am the first to crown Konoha's name with the Uchiha surname!"

With each thing Yuuki mentioned, the pride and excitement on Tekka's and Inabi's faces increased.

After Yuuki finished speaking, he asked the two.

"How do you think I've done?"

The two exchanged glances for a moment, their excitement slowly fading, and finally answered.

"Hokage-sama has done exceptionally well!"

Yuuki then retorted.

"If that's the case, why won't you call me Clan Head-sama?"
