Chapter 195 - Chapter 195 The trip to the capital ends

When Yuuki entered, the Daimyo also saw Yuuki immediately.

Both of them saw each other, but their feelings were completely different.

Yuuki came to the Land of Fire's capital purely to go through the motions.

Senju Hashirama had signed a contract with the Land of Fire back then, and now Yuuki was here to renew it.

Every Hokage or Daimyo who takes office will re-sign the contract.

Just like two years ago, Hiruzen Sarutobi also re-signed the contract with the current Daimyo.

In Yuuki's eyes, this contract was actually not worth mentioning, as Konoha was now largely self-sufficient and didn't need to rely on the Daimyo as much as in the past.

However, since there was money offered, it couldn't be refused, as Konoha did indeed protect the Land of Fire.

Officially signing the contract also represented the Land of Fire's recognition of the Hokage.

Afterward, the Daimyo would officially announce to everyone in the Land of Fire who the new Hokage was.

In Yuuki's opinion, this thing was useless.

After all, people or forces who cared about who the Hokage was didn't need the Land of Fire's Daimyo to inform them; they already knew Yuuki had become the new Hokage before this.

And for those who needed to be informed by the Daimyo to know who the new Hokage was, it probably didn't matter to them who the Hokage was.

Yuuki's idea was to finish quickly and leave, as the economic support provided by the Daimyo, in Yuuki's current view, was like receiving welfare.

He wouldn't completely look down on it, but to say that it could sustain the current Konoha was pure fantasy.

After all, Konoha's welfare system had been made quite good by Yuuki.

The Daimyo's feelings, however, were completely different from Yuuki's; his education from a young age told him that he would be the master of this country, until he learned about the existence of Ninja and Ninja Villages.

Only then did he realize that although he was the master of this country, there was another person above him, and that was the Hokage.

The Daimyo, in his fifties, had actually long accepted this situation, but a sense of unwillingness still lingered in his heart.

Today, he just wanted to understand how strong Yuuki, who was called the strongest in the Ninja World, truly was, to completely let go of his thoughts.

Videos of Yuuki destroying Kumogakure's forces were everywhere, and the Daimyo had seen them too.

But as he was not a Ninja, he couldn't comprehend that kind of power, especially after hearing the craftsman say that videos could be faked.

After all, Yuuki's performance in the video, though exaggerated, seemed to the Daimyo to be only marginally stronger than the scenes created by his own subordinates releasing Ninjutsu.

Finally, the Daimyo spoke first, addressing Yuuki.

"Fifth Hokage, seeing you always reminds me of the Fourth Hokage; both of you were equally young and promising!"

Yuuki also responded after hearing him.

"Your Excellency the Daimyo is also young and promising!"

This statement was indeed correct; the current Daimyo, less than 60 years old, transitioned from heir to become the Daimyo of the Land of Fire. While it's hard to say for other countries, in the Land of Fire, he was definitely young and promising.

Yuuki didn't spend much thought on the Daimyo, casually humoring him.

Even though he knew the other party had secretly deployed forces, Yuuki didn't care; no matter what the Daimyo did, he couldn't truly affect him.

But Yuuki was different; if the Daimyo didn't cooperate, Yuuki felt that the Land of Fire's Daimyo could be even younger and more promising, like himself, in his twenties, which would be quite good.

After exchanging a few boring pleasantries, Yuuki didn't have much patience, as the purpose of this trip had already been achieved, and receiving welfare was just a side benefit.

After finishing one topic, Yuuki directly got to the point, taking out a scroll and approaching the Daimyo, placing it on the low table in front of him.

"Your Excellency the Daimyo, it has been a pleasure to be with you, but as the Hokage, I cannot be away from Konoha for too long. Please sign!"

Seeing that Yuuki no longer bothered to feign expressions, the Daimyo also stopped pretending, his face becoming serious as he honestly signed and stamped the contract.

Watching the Daimyo complete the task, Yuuki retrieved the scroll and said.

"Then, Your Excellency the Daimyo, I shall take my leave."

After Yuuki left, the Daimyo asked.

"How is this Fifth Hokage?"

"Very strong!"

"He doesn't seem that impressive!"

Two answers rang out simultaneously; the one who thought Yuuki was not impressive was naturally Kazuma.

And after hearing Kazuma's statement, the Daimyo's eyes flickered slightly, but he quickly suppressed it, merely responding indifferently.

"I understand!"

On the other side, Yuuki, who had returned to his lodging, said to his subordinates.

"The matter is concluded; you all return to Konoha on your own. I'll go ahead!"

The Ninja in the team immediately responded.

"Yes, Hokage-sama!"

Yuuki nodded, then turned and said.

"I'll trouble you, Shisui."
