Chapter 13 - CHAPTER THIRTEEN — THE HUMAN PANCAKE PARADE

Through the center of the crowd, golden-armored soldiers marched like they were in a very serious parade.

Zeke got shoved sideways by the crowd—classic Zeke luck—just as five teen students from the Golden Continent Academy strutted in like they owned the place.

First came a girl with silver hair and blue eyes so dazzling you'd need sunglasses just to stare at her. And skin that white as snow.

Next to her was a handsome boy with golden hair and eyes, He carried a massive divine sword on his back, like he was auditioning for "Most Dramatic Entrance of the Century."

Zeke muttered under his breath, "Great... A Snow Queen and Mr. Sunbeam with a sword."

The silver-haired girl waved her hand with a perfect, dazzling smile at the children where Zeke was squashed, which—of course—only made the crowd more of a human pancake.

Zeke got crushed even harder. He tried to push himself out but is no used ,

muttering, "You've got to be kidding me… Can you guys give a guy some spa—" before he was abruptly cut off.

A girl behind him screamed straight into his ear, "Kyaaa! It's Viola Walt!"

Before he could even recover, another girl on the other side shrieked, "Kyaaaa! She's so pretty in person! I love her hair!"

Meanwhile, the silver-haired girl kept smiling like nothing was happening, gliding through the chaos as if she were walking down a runway and not through a pile of panicked, squashed students.

Zeke muttered, "Next time… I'm bringing a chainsaw… or maybe a bomb Will do!..."

Ares Viola Walt de Benedeth—heir of the legendary Benedeth House, also known as the Frost Clan. One of the continent's most powerful clans, famous for archery masters.

Ares herself is said to have the potential to become the next head of the Benedeth family. and she was ranking among the top students of the Golden Continent Academy.

Then a group of girls fainted with dramatic flair, faces bright red, squealing, as the boy with the golden hair spotted "Kyaaaa! He's so handsome!" like the world had just exploded in glitter, and romance.

Meanwhile, the boy with golden hair sit quietly, calm and serious…

Leon Vale Noirwood—heir of the Noirwood Clan from the kingdom of Hytopia in the Golden Continent. His family is famous for their unparalleled swordsmanship and divine magic. Eldest son of the Noirwood family head, Leon is also one of the academy's top students, feared and admired in equal measure.

Moving back to Zeke...

Zeke scratched his ears frantically.

"Curses!.. I thought I'd lost my ears!.. I need to get out of here!" He spun left and right, eyes going all googly.

"But seriously… how am I gonna do that?" His face was a mix of panic and despair, like some poor idiot trapped inside a human sandwich.

Then for a bit moment—huh?—his expression snapped to shock as he spotted someone familiar.

"Emelia?!"

His little sister was also stuck in the crowd, waving helplessly.

"Brother!" she called.

Joseph crawled over the crowd like some determined crab.

"Excuse me! Coming through… get out of the way!" he barked, carefully stepping on everyone's heads like a tiny, awkward ninja.

When he finally reached his little sister, he gently grabbed her hand and lifted her onto his shoulder—effortless, like he was carrying a sack of feathers instead of a human. Zeke blinked, flabbergasted.

"how did you even get here?"

"You okay?" Joseph asked, looking at her. Emelia took a deep, dramatic breath, clutching Zeke's head like it was a priceless trophy.

Zeke groaned, "Okay… first, I'm squashed by screaming fangirls… then trapped like a sardine… and now my head is being held hostage by my sister?! Fantastic day, really fantastic."

"Wow… so cool," Emilia said, joy spreading across her face.

Seeing his little sister happy, he couldn't help but flash a calm, proud smile for once.

Then —

Emelia gasped, eyes wide. "Brother, look!" she squealed, pointing excitedly.

Zeke followed her finger—and froze a little. A tall woman with long, flowing pink hair stood nearby, quiet and serious… but those ears! They were ridiculously long.

"That's an elf, Emelia," Zeke said, trying to sound like a walking encyclopedia.

Emelia's eyes sparkled. "I want to touch her ears!"

Zeke laughed, shaking his head. "Sure… just don't ask for permission first, we don't need a duel today."

"I didn't expect to see an elf here", Zeke thought, blinking at the tall, pink-haired woman.

"Elves don't usually make contact with humans… so getting information about them is nearly impossible. From what I know, there's only one place they live on Earth—the Feviapiea Continent, far to the east…" he muttered in his mind.

He gazed at her, taking in every detail. "But… this girl… Only one family of elves is known for pink hair and that kind of beauty: the Los Wooven Clan. Which… probably means she's a princess. At least, that's what I've heard."

Zeke exhaled quietly, muttering to himself.

"Great. So we have three prestigious people that maid the village to wrecked havoc... Ok now what?"

The crowd parted left and right as they moved forward, slowly closing in like a royal parade. The noise was deafening, a constant roar of excitement and awe that bounced off Zeke's skull like a jackhammer.

Emelia laughed with pure joy, perched on Zeke's shoulder like a tiny, ecstatic parrot. Meanwhile, Zeke… was having none of it. His face was a perfect mix of deadpan and totally unimpressed as golden soldiers marched past and the students of the Golden Continent Academy paraded by.

At the crowd's heart.

The silver haired girl kept that dazzling, friendly smile plastered on her face—but sweat dripped down her skin as she tried to hide her embarrassment while people shouted her name from all directions.

"She's… quite famous, huh?" Zeke muttered under his breath.

Then for a unexpected moment—her eyes landed on him and Emelia. Zeke froze mid-breath.

"Huh?!" His expression went full cartoon—eyes widened as his lips Curve down.

And then… she winked with a calm smile after she turn her gaze away.

Zeke's lips and eyes narrowed into a funny, calm, yet mockingly amused line.

"What was that about?!" He calmly said...

For not long after, the crowd was completely alive as The golden soldiers slowly marched down the street, each step echoing together with the people's squeal.

It stretched longer than it should straight to where they heading.

Time dragged —

For a moment The crowd's cheers faded little by little, stretching the silence between each shout until only quiet murmurs remains as The sunset bled across the sky, as if the world itself was trying to hold on before the night swallowed it whole...
