Chapter 53 - Beat ⁵³★Secrets and Boldness” ☆

Secrets and Boldness

On the other side, Smart and Jin were enjoying the journey.

They were holding hands, and Smart had rested his head on Jin's shoulder. It had been an exhausting day, and both of them were nearly sleepless.

Smart closed his eyes for a moment, resting quietly against Jin's shoulder, letting himself relax into the calm of the ride.

I can't believe this day. I've been waiting for it for so long, and now, at last, I have this person in my arms—to feel every breath he takes, his lips, the steady beat of his heart, his entire being so close to mine.

I expected a Smart who would give in from the very first moment, but instead, I found someone who, besides being cute, is also stubborn. With every passing moment, I feel myself growing more and more fixated on him.

What is it that makes him so special?

Everyone I'd had before was just for fun, and even if some of them ended up getting hurt, it never truly mattered to me.

Would I do the same to this beautiful face?

Will I be able to control my temper?

God… is this only an obsession, or is it something more?

These thoughts are suffocating me, dragging me into their darkness and leaving me with no peace.

"Jin…" Smart's sleepy voice murmured.

"You won't hurt me, will you?"

Jin felt as if Smart had read his thoughts. Those words hit him hard, leaving him speechless.

They stuck in his throat, and he couldn't react.

He took a deep breath and spoke softly, trying to stay calm.

"Smart… don't overthink.

Don't fill your head with thoughts like that, please. No one is going to hurt you."

No response.

"Smart," Jin called again.

"Yes," he answered softly.

"I'm here."

"Try to sleep a little.

I'll wake you when we arrive."

Jin had parked below Smart's apartment for almost forty minutes.

He just watched Smart sleep on his shoulder, not wanting to wake him.

Finally, Smart opened his eyes, lifted his head, and looked around.

"Jin… have we already arrived?

Why didn't you wake me?"

Jin leaned closer, unbuckled his seatbelt, and kissed him on the cheek.

"I wanted to see you while you were sleeping!

You looked just like an angel."

Smart smiled softly, looking into his eyes.

"Careful… this angel can turn into a devil if you hurt him!"

Jin smiled lightly.

"Hard to believe… your face doesn't really match that of a devil!"

Smart laughed in a way that seemed to say to Jin, "Try me, and you'll see!"

"Okay, okay—I'm going up," Smart said, reaching for the car door.

Jin grabbed his arm and pulled him back gently.

"Where do you think you're going so easily?

Smart looked him in the eyes.

"So easily? What do you mean?"

"It means I haven't let you leave yet… and how you're supposed to leave," Jin said calmly, though his voice carried a strong sense of authority.

"Hmm, okay then… Jin, can you teach me how I'm supposed to leave?" Smart teased, giving him a look just enough to provoke him.

Don't look at me like that, with those eyes…

Otherwise, I won't be able to hold back all the tension inside me, and I'll end up hurting your lips again, Jin thought, slightly touching his lower lip with his finger.

Smart smiled and gently bit the exact spot where Jin had placed his finger.

"Hmm… so, what are you waiting for?" he murmured, lowering his eyes toward his own lips.

"Go ahead… if that's what you really want!"

Jin looked him in the eyes and leaned closer.

"You asked for it yourself," he murmured.

He pulled Smart even closer, his lips pressing firmly against Smart's.

Jin continued kissing him relentlessly, taking over his entire mouth—a kiss that didn't stop, continuing with the same intensity.

Jin paused for a second and whispered softly,

"Do you want me to make you feel pain… or pleasure?"

Smart looked him in the eyes and replied,

"Can I feel both?"

Jin felt his mind nearly lose control at those words, a fire burning inside him as his breath quickened.

He could endure anything… for me, he thought, smiling softly.

He kissed him gently on the lips and lingered there for a moment.

Please… don't move from here! Kiss me longer! I want to taste every breath, Smart thought, looking into Jin's eyes.

Jin didn't want to let go at that moment, but he knew he had to let Smart rest and get a few hours of sleep—even though all he wanted was to keep him in his arms.

"Go on… head upstairs, take a shower, and lie down," Jin said, gently stroking his hair.

"Okay… I'm going up. Be careful, and text me when you get home!" Smart replied, stepping out of the car.

Jin watched him go, then made his way to his own apartment.

On the other side, Ren and Leon were looking for Zoi.

Ren checked every corner, but he couldn't see her anywhere.

His worry had passed all limits, and he couldn't think clearly.

He called Zoi's phone more than ten times, but there was no answer.

"What the hell could have happened to her?

All this while I wasn't watching her?"

"Fuck… how careless I've been.

It's all my fault! How could I let this happen?"

Meanwhile, Leo had gone to the restroom area, checking every possible spot.

He didn't care if it was the women's restroom—he went inside anyway, looking for Zoi.

"Damn it… no sign of her!" he thought.

"Maybe she got drunk and fell somewhere?

Why can't I find her anywhere? Zoi, where did you go?"

As he stepped into the restroom corridor, his eyes caught Zoi, talking to a guy, and they seemed a little tense.

"Who the hell could that be?" Leo thought, taking a few steps toward them as he called out,

"Zoi…"

The guy immediately walked away as soon as he saw Leo, making Leo suspicious.

"Leo—what are you doing here?" Zoi asked, glancing around to make sure Ren wasn't nearby.

"We came to get you and take you home. It's late now."

"Where's Ren?" she asked, looking around.

"He's inside the pub, but I'll tell him to wait for us in the car," Leo said, pulling out his phone and sending Ren a message.

✉️ Wait for us in the car. I'm coming with Zoi.

"Ah, okay. Let me grab my things and we'll go," Zoi said, taking a few steps away.

"Who was that guy?" Leo asked sharply.

"What guy?" Zoi replied, pretending not to understand.

"The guy who was with you a little while ago," Leo said, looking her in the eyes.

"Oh… him? No one—he just asked me something and left," she said with a fake smile.

"Wait," Leo called out. "Maybe he's—"

"Leo… don't tell Ren about him, okay?" Zoi said, stopping him with a playful smile, not letting him finish.

Hmm… probably just a boyfriend, Leo thought to himself, smiling slightly.

"Okay, okay. I got it," Leo said. "I won't tell anything."

"Now I'm going to grab my things, and we'll go," Zoi said.

The two of them then walked toward the car, where Ren was waiting.

"Zoi, where have you been?" he asked directly.

"Ah, I was in the restroom," she replied immediately.

"Did anything happen that I should know about?" Ren's serious voice sounded again.

"No, no, nothing. Everything went perfectly," she said, glancing at Leo.

Ren looked at Leo for confirmation.

Leo just gave him a subtle nod, letting him know that everything was fine.

"Okay, let's go," Ren said, and they set off quickly.

After dropping Zoi off at home, Ren looked Leo in the eyes and asked again,

"Are you telling me the truth?"

"Ren, you've gotten way too paranoid and fixated. You're not even letting the girl breathe!"

"Come on, I'll take you home now."

"You're taking me? Me?" Ren asked, surprised.

"Yes, I'll take you, and then I have to go back to my apartment tonight."

"No way—you're staying with me!" Ren said sharply.

"Don't get clingy now," Leo replied calmly.

"I need to work, don't I?"

Ren glanced at him, his tone suddenly more serious.

"So… when are you going to tell me more about your life?"

"The day you're officially mine," Leo whispered softly, repeating the same words Ren had once used when Leo had asked him the same question.

Ren frowned. "You can't just use my words like that."

"Why not?" Leo said gently, leaning closer. "You wanted an answer—well, here it is."

Ren scoffed, pulling out a cigarette.

"You're going to pay for that boldness, you know."

"Yeah, yeah," Leo replied with a lazy smile. "With all your little punishments, you have no idea how scared I am."

Before Ren could light it, Leo snatched the cigarette and tossed it out the window.

Ren stared at him, momentarily speechless.

"Enough smoke," Leo said. "It's late. Let's go."

Ren looked at him, then smiled faintly.

"You like being the one who calls the shots, don't you?" he asked, glancing at Leo from the corner of his eye.

Leo smiled back, calm and confident. "Just like you like it."

Ren blinked, caught off guard by the playful tone.

"Are you drunk?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Leo only chuckled, pressed the gas, and the car disappeared into the darkness, leaving behind nothing but the quiet hum of the night.
