My mind went blank, I looked lost in his eyes, at bliss and the firecrackers set ablaze as they sparked in the air and filled the sky with their colors.
They were bound less.
My world stopped for a second, the world stopped and my breath hitched at his words as I looked at him. His words still buzzed in my mind, it kept on throbbing and echoing. It made me question myself as I gulped, looking at him.
" What?" I asked him, looking the other way as the red crept up my cheeks. I didn't understand what he meant, he smiled and laughed.
Realization dawned, nausea kicking in my veins.
I felt used like he didn't mean it and it was just a mere mockery that I had fallen for so I looked the other way. When he saw my look, he laughed harder as he cupped my cheeks, pulling my face to rest on his forehead.
" Don't you understand English anymore?"
My ears rang from his words, I shook my head as I said, " We shouldn't. We can't."
