Chapter 40 - Use of Badge

"Of course, we call the Mystery Box merchant first and talk about the trade." Tsunade didn't stop walking. "Didn't the old man say he still has savings? He wouldn't refuse business, would he?"

"But..."

Shizune originally wanted to say that this amount of money probably wasn't enough, but seeing Tsunade's eyes, she didn't say it.

Because those were eyes with a firm goal.

Tsunade directly took the "savings" from Hiruzen Sarutobi and returned to her original home. After many years away, everything here was as it was, and there weren't even many weeds in the yard. It was clear that someone in the Leaf Village had consistently cleaned it.

Perhaps it was the Hokage's order, or perhaps it was out of respect for the Senju clan.

Tsunade looked at the familiar environment from her memories.

In the once lively clan home, now only she remained.

"Hoo—"

Letting out a long breath, Tsunade didn't dwell too much on her emotions.

She took out the badge and, according to what Xin had said before, pressed the button in the center eye.

Inside, a beeping sound quickly came through.

Then.

"Hello?" Xin's voice came through. "Is that Lady Tsunade? Please wait a moment, Himari, don't move around."

"Meow meow!"

"Pat pat."

"Behave yourself!"

All sorts of strange sounds came from the badge's side. Tsunade and Shizune exchanged glances. After a while, it finally quieted down.

"My apologies, there were some small matters here." Xin's voice came through. "Lady Tsunade, are you looking for me to purchase Mystery Box?"

"That's right." Tsunade replied in a deep voice. "I have some money with me now."

"Alright then—" There was a brief silence on the other end.

Then, with a soft pop, it didn't come from the badge, but happened right in front of Tsunade.

Xin, wearing a black suit with rolled-up sleeves, appeared directly, holding a soaking wet, utterly dejected-looking little white kitten in his palm.

He... appeared directly?

Tsunade looked at the suddenly appearing Xin, then seemed to react and looked at the badge in her hand.

"This badge itself has a positioning function, but it's only useful when activated," Xin explained, while trying to maintain the elegant smile of a mysterious merchant.

Then, Himari, who was being held in his palm, suddenly struggled gently, leaped down from Xin's hand, tried hard to shake off the water on her body, and meowed angrily at Xin.

He actually caught her off guard and took her to bathe.

Master is too much, meow!
