Seijirou stepped through the doorway, the soft chime of the wind bell above the entrance greeting him with a familiar tone.
The faint scent of lilies and air freshener immediately filled the air, instantly bringing back a flood of memories.
The Korukawa household hadn't changed much, he thought.
The same dark wood floors, the same family photos lining the hallway, the same warm light that used to pour from the kitchen whenever Aiko was home.
Aiko turned gently to Seijirou and gestured toward the living room.
"You go relax. I'll prepare dinner," she said. "Suzune, stay with Kageyama and keep him company."
"Got it, Mom." Suzune smiled.
With that, Aiko disappeared into the kitchen, and the soft sound of utensils and simmering immediately filling the air.
Seijirou took off his shoes, walked into the living room, and sat on the sofa.
