Chaos spread through the place.
One of them said in disbelief,
"And this is what you want?"
Kim replied in a steady voice,
"This is what I fight for.
Is there anyone who knows an angel named Leona?"
They all looked at one another in confusion.
"Who is she?" they asked.
Kim said,
"My mother."
A crushing silence fell.
Then he continued,
"She was from the human world."
Shock struck everyone.
A human?
Then what brought her here?
Kim said with deadly calm,
"And I too…
am human."
Stupefaction froze the place.
How?
How could he have come here?
And more importantly…
how does he possess a fragment of the power of life?
Kim said,
"I am human,
and so is my family.
From Earth.
But much happened to me…
until I became what I am now."
Then he raised his head and said,
"I possess darkness and death,
and I possess the ability to manipulate time."
The hands of time flooded into his eye,
moving…
warping.
And he said,
"And I possess life."
The leader screamed in rage,
"How can someone tainted like you come here?!"
Everyone prepared to attack.
Kim looked at them coldly and said,
"You know what happens when someone possesses both life and death.
I can use chaos.
Do you want death?"
They all froze.
Shock stole their voices.
Then Kim looked at the priest and said,
"Do you want death for everyone?
I came only to learn the answers to the questions inside me."
The priest asked him,
"Where is your home now?
And where is your family?"
Kim laughed with bitter mockery,
"Home?
It still stands in its place…
but those who were in it will never return.
My family is dead."
Black flames emerged from his hand.
The priest looked at him in anger,
"Do not mock life."
He said to him,
"Do you realize what you are about to face?"
Kim laughed,
"Hahaha…
You, and all that you possess,
are nothing but insects before me.
Worlds perish and others flourish,
and I am still alive."
Then he added in a deadly tone,
"Nameless beings like you trying to stop me?
Don't joke with me.
Do you and life insist on testing my power?"
The priest said,
"If you are searching for your mother…
and she is dead,
how do you keep your sanity?"
Kim answered with dark confidence,
"She is not dead.
I can feel it.
And if she is…
I will search for a way to bring her back."
The priest tried to respond,
but a voice from behind interrupted him,
"Do you seek death, mortal?
How can we allow a human to remain here?
We are angels…
and we do not interfere in the lives of those weaker than us."
Kim looked at them and said calmly,
"You are right.
I came hoping to find an answer…
but it doesn't matter."
Then Kim flew upward,
and as he drifted away he said,
"You have the right…
for how could you care about what is not on your level?"
