Chapter 8 - Escape

Michael and his subordinates headed to the west port, where their hidden base was located.

Their base was not on land, but inside a ship.

They had arrived at the port.

The helicopter landed on top of the ship, then entered through the upper garage cabin.

Michael and his subordinates walked through the cruise ship's corridor, heading toward the meeting room.

There, someone was already waiting.

They were the Code S members, as well as his wife and son who had just arrived an hour ago.

The room's lights were dim.

There was only a rectangular table and eight chairs.

The Code S members attending the meeting were only three people, S No II being one of them.

Michael opened the door. Crack!

With S No II behind him, those who were already waiting in the room gave a salute, "Greetings, My Lord."

Michael replied by raising his right hand.

Michael sat at the end of the table, near the door, and S No II sat on his right side.

On Michael's left side, sat a Code S.

He wore a mask similar to S No II's, but its color was white with a sad expression.

He also had the code name S No III, a system hacking expert.

Beside him was S No IV.

He also used a red mask with an angry facial expression.

He was an expert in assembling or making tools.

The tools Michael used came from S No IV, but not all of them.

Michael himself was also good at designing tools, but he focused more on his business strategies.

The vision and mission of Michael's organization were only for money and wealth.

They were ready to do anything to get what they wanted.

Michael did not recruit the Code S members randomly.

They were all people who had hidden talents from any aspect.

Michael gave the Code S members the freedom to show their talents by providing a space.

Michael also funded whatever they needed.

Michael already considered the Code S members as his own brothers.

Many of them had been through a lot when they entered the mafia world.

Michael's Code S members were actually eight people.

However, the others were still carrying out the tasks Michael had given them before.

Michael's organization was named Angel's Blood.

This was not just an ordinary name, because this name had the meaning of eternal loyalty and kinship.

"Let's start this meeting. Previously, S No II and I had a problem in the city," Michael explained to his direct subordinates.

"Now, there are a lot of trackers that might make me unable to stay here."

"I will move to a neighboring country."

"And the subordinates from this country have been confirmed to be safe."

"I am handing over the task in this country to you. So, be careful."

S No IV opened his mouth, "Yes, My Lord, we will carry out this task."

"But, My Lord, do not travel alone. If possible, just bring S No II with you."

"No, I want to go alone," Michael replied while glancing at Robert Jr.

"I want you all to stay here, and I will hand over the leadership in this country to my son. He is an adult now."

"What do you think?"

"Yes, Father, I will try my best," Robert Jr. said.

"I also want to ask, will mother come with you?"

"Of course, I will bring her," Michael replied.

"I am handing it over to you, my son, because my face has already been recognized in this country."

"Father will leave as soon as possible before they chase Father. Anyway, you have to be careful."

Then Michael continued his explanation, "Because you Code S members, they don't know the real faces behind your masks."

"And besides, they don't know you either, my son."

Everyone agreed with what he said.

Michael hurried out, wearing a mask and black glasses along with his wife.

They headed to the edge of the port, where Byeon Ji was already waiting in the car.

...

After getting out of the ship, Michael and his wife walked to the parking lot.

He met Byeon Ji who was standing and smiling while opening the back door of the car.

Michael asked, "Have you taken care of your mission? Where did you dispose of the body?" while glancing at the bloodstains on Byeon Ji's clothes.

"My Lord, don't worry. I have taken care of it very well. Let's go," Byeon Ji replied.

Michael and his wife got in, sitting in the back.

They headed to the airport where his private plane was parked.

Michael's wife was wearing all-black, loose clothing.

Only her beautiful blue eyes were visible from the outside. She also didn't talk much when she was outside.

During the trip, Michael looked at his wife who was sitting silently looking ahead.

'My wife, she hasn't changed since the beginning. She is very obedient and agrees with what I say. I even remember when I first met her, she was very quiet and rarely interacted with anyone.'

'At that time I met her in a shop when I was still a gangster. I extorted the shop owner and beat him up. People were running, but my eyes were fixed on her. She looked so relaxed while drinking coffee and reading a book.'

'When I saw her, I was so fascinated by her natural beautiful face. I walked up to her, and asked her, she was just silent, looking like she didn't care. At that time I immediately kissed her and took her by force. Huh! What a dark, embarrassing past. Why was I like that? I don't want to remember it, damn it,' Michael mumbled to himself.

Michael held his wife's left hand.

Then his wife turned her head, smiling, visible from her narrowed eyes.

Michael stroked her head and brought his lips close to his wife's ear.

"My love, I miss you. It's been a long time since we saw each other, hehe," he whispered.

His wife stroked Michael's head, placed it on her shoulder, then caressed it.

She spoke softly, "My husband, I miss you too. It's been a long time. Next time, see me more often."

She closed her eyes.

Byeon Ji, who saw them from the small mirror in the car, smiled.

Then he said to himself, 'This is the first time I've met the Lady. They look so harmonious.'

'Luckily I was on time earlier. I sent the body to a subordinate friend to take it to the meat grinder.'

'This was also S No II's suggestion. I thought, if the body was made into sausages... If I wasn't on time, maybe I would have become a sausage myself. So scary,' he thought.

After a while, they finally arrived at the airport where Michael landed in this city.

He hurried out and left Byeon Ji.

Michael and his wife entered the airport, heading to his private plane.

There, a person was already waiting for him, that person was still the same as when they first met.

Michael and his wife entered the room, sitting in the middle.

Then his subordinate handed him a paper that read: "We have made two fake visas and passports in this small suitcase. Please, Boss, check them first."

The subordinate handed over the small suitcase, then he went out of the plane, waved his hand, and hurried away.

Michael's private pilot said through the plane's speaker, "It's time to depart, My Lord. I hope this journey reaches its destination."

The plane began to move, then it took off.

Michael opened the suitcase and checked it.

The two fake visas and passports looked very similar, without any mistakes.

Inside, the fake name Shinji was written as Michael's replacement name.

And his wife's fake name was written as Chihiro with the family name Tanaka.

After checking, he put the small suitcase back and placed it on the plane's table.

He opened a bottle of wine then poured its contents into two glasses.

Then Michael gave the glass of wine to his wife.

His wife accepted it, then she opened her mouth cover.

"My love, please enjoy," he said while clinking their glasses, then they drank together.

After a long journey, he arrived at Tokyo International Airport and landed safely.

The plane's door opened, then Michael's private pilot came out of the cabin.

He took off his hat, bowing in respect.

Michael patted his shoulder.

"No need to go to such lengths, relax. I'm leaving first," he said.

The pilot stood up straight, then said, "Yes, My Lord, I am also very grateful."

He escorted Michael and his wife to the bottom of the plane.

Michael hurried to leave the airport.

His check-in was a total success, without any mistakes.

Michael had bribed the guards so that his suitcase would not be checked.

He ordered a taxi via his phone to a luxurious apartment building in Tokyo.

After waiting, the taxi arrived.

He and Chihiro got in.

After arriving, Michael paid the taxi and got out, heading to the apartment building's door.

He walked to the reception, then ordered a room.

"Ah, I'm tired," Michael mumbled.

He placed the suitcase beside the entrance door of the 30th-floor apartment room.

Then he said again, "I want to sleep. My wife, wake me up later at ten at night, okay."

Chihiro replied, "Yes, honey, get some rest. I'll take a shower first, after that I'll find some food, and buy groceries for later."

She walked to the bathroom, taking off her clothes outside.

Michael fell sound asleep on the bed without taking off his suit and still wearing his loafers.

While in his sleep, he had a dream.

"Michael, do you still remember our cooperation?" a voice echoed from the darkness of his dream.
