Chapter 11 - Childhood Dream

He looked up and saw Cealum was standing behind. He told him, " how was school today, melon?" Waver gave no response. Cealum understood that he was angry. So to make him happy, he played like the old times,

" There is someone who thinks their closet gets full of chocolate by a mysterious figure, don't he?" Waver was shocked, because he never told his father about that. " How do you know that?" " Well I have told you earlier that your father has knowledge of everything to survive. You wanna know about it?"

Waver's eyes got sparkly and his lips got up, but a split second of thinking something and then he said, " no thanks, i will figure it out myself."

Cealum was shocked, he never saw Waver uninterested in adventure, though he can tell that Waver is not pretending. He took his hand and went to his car. While being seated, he asked him how school was. Waver just moved his eyes side by side and was showing a thinking phase, then he said " yeah, it was great". Not so excited.

This statement made Cealum think, maybe he didn't make any friends. Maybe he was all alone in the class. Maybe the teacher behaved wrong and my poor son felt like an innocent child among the monsters. What if tomorrow they plan on bullying my kid, what if they make some rotten egg and flour mixture and then pour it in his bag. Oh no, my child is in danger!

Meanwhile Waver was thinking, huh.. I will bring some of my chocolate tomorrow to give to them. How many are they? Shoot, I didn't count. Maybe enough to bring all my candies. I will surely find out who gives me candies. He,he, then I will take all the candy. Oh, that's a butterfly. Mom would've loved to see that.

Cealum then broke the silence and asked, " Do you need me to drop you to school from now on. You can say, I just wanted to give you the experience of a bus journey alone one time. Now as you know how it feels, I can take you to school from now on, no problem for me. "

" no need, i like to experience it more often."

" as you wish, melon. Did you make any friends?"

" Yeah, sort of."

Cealum then gets silent again and starts overthinking again, " sort of??? Ohh, my poor baby. Maybe he has only one friend, that's why he doesn't want to share it with me. But I will make sure that no one can bully him. "

" Dad, can I bring my friends to my house? And some will stay for the night too."

" Yeah, sure. You should definitely tell them how cool your dad is and how beautiful your mom is. "

Meanwhile he again thought,

" My poor baby doesn't want to admit that he didn't have many friends. I will give a grand party to make his friends never leave him."

Then Cealum asked him what happened to his school, but he looked so tired because of last night's tragedy that he fell asleep while talking. Waver promised to himself that he would never get so worried about anything, especially the night before. Cealum saw that Waver was tired, so he didn't wake him. He brushes his hair and then focuses on driving. As he drove he saw a duck with its babies crossing the road, he stopped the car and saw that. It reminded him how the teacher at his time used to make everyone line up before entering and getting out of school. There used to be a policy that no one should leave their discipline even if there is any fire. Although the principal broke it and then tried to brush it off by saying , " students must follow it. Teachers should follow it. Principle might break sometime, it's obligated." he thought those days could have been his golden era, if only he was brave, he was a little scaredy cat in the beginning of his life, but somehow he got some loyal and trustworthy lifelong friends. This is no miracle, but the help of extroverted Maris's help. But by thinking about Maris, he got sad, it is the longest period that Maris has been sick. She is a very well balanced girl, so falling ill makes it feel dangerous. He is really worked up nowadays. Maris is so weak and her situation is getting worse and worse, although they tried everything they could've done. The doctor says it's just some normal seasonal sickness, but the fact that she has a record of never getting ill makes it worse. After the ducklings crossed the road, he started his vehicle. The road was empty and the sky was clear. White clouds roaming around freely, makes Cealum wanting to be free and stay with his family all the time. But he has to work , work for his family. But he thinks at least Waver is leaving Cealum's childhood dream by getting home after school. It's nostalgic.

Then somebody called him. He picked up the phone, it was Maris. He didn't say anything, just listened to her. His eyes got a little squeezed and his face got a little bit tense. At that time, Waver's sleep broke and he saw dad talking to someone. He asked who it was. Cealum answered your mom, trying to change his reaction so that Waver doesn't get worked up cause he is truly a mama's boy.

" Dad??"

" Hmm, say it."

" Is mom okay now?"

" Well, about mom, uhhh..."
