Rhea let out a soft, tired sigh that tasted of annoyance and calculation. If this had been any other place, she would have ignored him. If it were a normal setting she would have walked away and let their fools squawk. But this was not her world. Whether she liked it or not, obedience will buy her time to adjust—or she'll risk being cast out of the pack.
She didn't know enough about this world to survive on her own. The debts of the old Rhea were still unpaid, and until she settled them, she would have to endure this nonsense.
"Stop keeping the Alpha waiting."Nikki said, her voice syrupy with mock sweetness.
