Chapter 12 - Chaos Body Traits

When he saw the information that appeared before him, a clear trace of confusion surfaced on his face. He did not understand what was happening, or how it had even happened in the first place.

"Is this true?"

That was the first thought that slipped into his mind, as he raised his hand to rub his eyes forcefully, as if trying to dispel the illusion. But the screen remained as it was, fixed, glowing with a faint radiance that stirred a sense of awe. Quickly, he took a deep breath, then hastily expanded the information.

His heartbeat pounded violently, almost breaking through his chest, while the sound of his heavy breaths weighed down the air around him. His fingers trembled slightly, his body temperature rising gradually, as if a strange spark coursed through his veins, releasing an inner glow accompanied by a faint scent resembling hot iron.

"This is truly unexpected… I never imagined awakening a constitution, let alone a unique one!"

A feeling of ecstasy spread through every cell in his body, but it was concentrated even more on the Chaos Energy that surged within him like a raging volcano.

"I don't recall ever hearing about this kind of energy before…"

A clear conviction rose within him, an instinctive feeling that the matter of his constitution and Chaos Energy must never, under any circumstance, be known to anyone.

"Status screen."

A transparent frame appeared before him, glowing with a mysterious coldness:

[name: Aris

Titles: Alchemy Trainee

Profession: Not yet unlocked

Constitution: Chaos Body

Attribute: Chaos (Darkness / Light)

Talent: Sword and Magic Affinity SS+ (a talent that makes you extremely proficient in both sword and magic)

Skills:

King's Eye – (Allows you to perceive all information and essence of living beings and elements)]

Aris looked at the status screen and noticed the change clearly: the title Alchemy Trainee had appeared in the titles section, and his constitution was displayed, but the strange part was that the attribute had become Chaos, and above that, he had gained the Light element.

"Strange… why did I obtain the Light element?"

Aris pondered deeply, while his eyes observed the flicker of the system, and suddenly a mysterious gleam shone in his pupils.

"Yes… it must be because darkness and light are the oldest elements. And since Chaos Energy is the origin of everything, then possessing the Light element makes sense."

Aris's lips curved into a faint, cold smile, while a dark light flickered in his eyes. Darkness and light… both were now in his hands.

"I wonder… how will Rian feel when I crush him with his own element?"

Aris vividly imagined the scene: thick darkness devouring everything, followed by radiant light erasing the remnants in the very same moment. A vision that inspired awe and fear.

As it is said: one who understands darkness will also understand the meaning of light, but one who understands light will never truly understand darkness.

"I think I should reconsider the technique I am going to practice."

Previously, Aris had intended to use a meditation technique he had learned in his past life from the army using merit points, and later improved it himself.

But now it seemed he had to change his plan and use another meditation technique, though before that, he needed to silence his hunger.

Aris left to eat in a nearby tavern, yet he noticed something wrong in the city's atmosphere; there was less movement, and the merchants were not shouting about their goods. Instead, they had hung signs displaying the prices, which were higher than usual.

Aris did not step forward to ask the reason, but continued walking quietly. When he arrived at the tavern, he noticed fewer customers than usual and that everyone was silent.

He chose an inconspicuous spot and ordered food. While eating his meal, he observed everyone's actions, and the most important thing he noticed was the fear in their eyes.

He muttered to himself in a low voice:

"What is happening in the city?"

And just as he was about to call the waiter and ask what was going on, he overheard a conversation seeping from a nearby table.

"Is the end of the world really coming?"

"It must be so, didn't you see what happened last night?"

"Please, don't mention it… the sky was dark and clouds formed into domes that looked like eyes."

"Man, and that pressure… it forced me to my knees."

"You weren't the only one, it was everyone! Many even fainted."

Aris was puzzled by what he heard.

The end of the world, clouds shaped like eyes, and a mysterious pressure… what was happening?

He tried to make sense of it, but what he heard did not add up.

"I must understand what's going on."

Aris decided to head somewhere else to gather more information.

Thus, he paid and left.

---

In a massive and luxurious palace, there was a young man with fiery golden hair and yellow eyes like suns, with fair skin, dressed in splendid noble garments. On his chest hung the emblem of a sun above his heart. He was sitting at a massive polished wooden desk, reading documents, his brows furrowed.

Before him, a knight clad in iron armor bearing the sun emblem knelt on one knee.

"Have the prices risen because of what happened last night? All the residents of the City of the Heart are terrified… no, I should say everyone in the Solar Empire feels the same."

This was Crown Prince Arthur, a man known for his intelligence, calmness, and genius in the sword.

"So, what conclusion did His Majesty reach?"

His voice was calm, carrying the majesty of the future emperor.

"Your Highness, the conclusion reached is that what happened may be due to the possibility of ancient ruins being opened."

The knight replied in an obedient tone.

"Ancient ruins… I see. Also, go to the Lord of the City of the Heart and tell him to calm the situation."

"As you command."

After that, the knight left, leaving Arthur alone.

"Hah… ancient ruins? How could they be the cause of such turmoil?"

Arthur felt this was the only conclusion his father could arrive at, but deep down, he was not entirely convinced.

"Come."

As soon as he uttered the word, a shadow appeared before him, revealing a man dressed in black, who immediately knelt. This was Arthur's special unit, known as the "Daggers."

"Have you discovered anything?"

"No, Your Highness. No cause of the anomaly was found, and all channels confirmed the same."

His voice came out cold as ice.

"I see… I want you to continue the investigation. Also, how is my sister? What is she doing?"

"As you command, Your Highness. As for the princess, nothing special, except that she has met Rian several times."

When Arthur asked about his sister and heard that she had met Rian, he calmly raised an eyebrow.

"It seems my sister is not completely useless, at least she used her body to pull a lustful genius to her side."

Arthur sneered with disdain. She was only his half-sister, and did not possess the qualifications to be his rival, though she was favored by the emperor. However, she was not clever in politics, usually relying on the emperor or her mother.

As for Rian, he had shown genius, but his flaws were in his narrow vision and lustful desires.

"Keep monitoring. Also, what have you done regarding the case of the Brown Bear Gang massacre?"

Silence prevailed.

"Nothing, correct?"

"Yes, Your Highness."

"Then what good are you?!"

Here Arthur's voice turned to icy severity.

"Your Highness, forgive me… but do not worry, we are monitoring the rest of the gangs."

"Why?"

"Because my subordinates believe that someone with such skill will target the other gangs as well."

When he heard the answer, he found it logical, so he calmed down slightly.

He gestured for the man to leave, and seeing this, the Dagger felt relieved and disappeared before him.

Arthur's interest in the one who annihilated the Brown Bear Gang stemmed from his recognition of that person's skill. Such a person must be under his command.

But unfortunately, in the end, he would not succeed. Because that person was none other than Aris… the one who had caused the world's turmoil merely by awakening his constitution.

And moreover, Aris did not like Arthur.

Aris returned to his home still feeling the shock of the information he had gathered, as the world had been on the verge of destruction because of what had happened.

However, he had been unconscious at that time and had not witnessed it with his own eyes.

But Aris knew that this was not true, because it had not happened in his previous life, and everything that occurred this time coincided with the awakening of the Chaos Body Constitution.

Therefore, Aris clearly understood: he was the cause of this anomaly, the one who brought chaos to the City of the Heart.

He muttered in a hoarse voice, his eyes staring into the void:

"Honestly… it seems I underestimated the power of the Chaos Body Constitution."

And after he heard the echo of his words reverberate through the quiet room, he realized completely that he must not, no, he could not, mention the Chaos Body or the power of chaos to anyone.

He sat on his wooden bed, his features sunk in deep thought. His fingers tapped unconsciously against his thighs, while his hot breaths collided with the cold air, leaving behind a faint mist.

"There is one meditation technique… my mind keeps being drawn to it."

In his previous life, during a journey to some ancient ruins, he had stumbled upon a strange meditation technique, whose rank had never been mentioned, while its conditions were extremely harsh. To use it, one had to start from the point of being a completely ordinary human, something Aris had not been able to do at the time, since he had already reached the rank of Five-Star Knight.

Nevertheless, he had used it as a source of inspiration to develop his own technique, which had allowed him to break through his limits and reach the rank of Eight Stars.

He slowly raised his head, his eyes gleaming with determination as solid as steel:

"Very well… the matter is decided. I shall practice the Creation Meditation Technique."

At that moment, he closed his eyes, diving directly into his old memories, recalling every small detail about that technique before beginning to practice it.

He felt his heartbeat gradually quicken, while his mind plunged into the depths of a sea filled with ancient images and symbols, the scent of dust from distant ruins almost emanating from his memory.
