The system popped up the mission, informing Moen who was sitting inside that carriage.

"Boom!"

"Diamond Star Fist!"

Moen threw a punch. A piercing cold wind howled as the two frightened horses were instantly frozen solid. However, due to inertia, the carriage still rushed toward the cliff, smashing directly into the horses and shattering them into pieces of ice.

"That looks like Mr. Ruchio's family carriage!"

The coachman cried out in shock. He had finally noticed the emblem on the carriage. It was exactly the same as the one on the carriage he was driving, clearly belonging to Mr. Ruchio as well.

"Huff!"

The carriage fell toward the cliff, causing the coachman's face to fill with grief.

"Caw!"

However, in the very next second, the coachman was no longer grieving. The cries of crows rang out as the carriage was suddenly yanked back up from the cliff. A flock of crows pulled the carriage into the air.

The pitch-black crows were not small in size, nor lacking in strength. More than a dozen of them pulled and pushed together, lifting the carriage back onto the cliff.

Bang.

The carriage landed back on the cliff. The crows scattered, rush toward Moen's body and vanished, all of them being stored inside Moen's system space. That's right—these crows he controlled could also be stored in the system space, making them more convenient to use.

[Ding! Mission "Saving the Dying and Healing the Wounded" Completed!

Mission Progress: Rescue Granny Hilda (Completed)

Do you wish to claim the mission reward?]

The system popped up the mission settlement. Moen directly claimed the reward.

At present, Moen now had two Skill Experience Books in his possession, which could directly increase a skill's proficiency by three hundred points.

Sometimes Moen found this rather troublesome. If these Skill Experience Books were divided into (Beginner), (Intermediate), and (Advanced) versions, it would be much better.

That way, there would be no burden when using them—each level of skill could use the corresponding experience book. But now, with this all-level universal usage, using it on a beginner skill felt like a massive loss. After all, the higher a skill level became, the harder it was to train.

Setting aside the matter of the Skill Experience Book for now, Moen walked over to the carriage to check the situation. The coachman was no longer there, he didn't know whether the man had jumped off earlier after sensing danger.

Pulling open the carriage curtain, Moen looked inside. Sure enough, he saw an elderly woman curled up in the corner of the carriage, her face pale and shaken. When she saw that the one opening the door was Moen, her expression froze instantly.

"Granny Hilda? Why are you here?"

Looking at Granny Hilda, Moen asked with a face full of "surprise," as if he truly didn't know who was inside.

"Little Moen? Was it you who saved me?"

Granny Hilda was still shaken, but after seeing Moen, her emotions gradually stabilized.

"Yes, it was me. I just happened to be passing by."

Moen nodded and helped Granny Hilda down from the carriage. The elderly woman was very short, about the same height as Grandpa Makarov.

"Thank goodness you came."

Granny Hilda rubbed herself. Aside from being knocked around a bit, she hadn't suffered any other injuries. Still, she had been badly frightened, she had almost thought she would fall to her death. She still had something she hadn't given to Erza yet.

"Thank you so much, Little Moen."

Thinking of this, Granny Hilda thanked Moen once again.

"No need to be so polite, Granny Hilda. This is what I should do. But next time I go to the girls' dormitory, could you maybe stop blocking me?"

Moen smiled and jokingly teased Granny Hilda.

"No! It was fine when you went to play in the girls' dormitory as a child, but now you're already a big kid. You can't just go in anymore."

Faced with Moen's unreasonable request, Granny Hilda firmly refused.

Back then, when Moen was little, she didn't stop him from entering the girls' dormitory. But now that he had grown up, she naturally could not allow it anymore. She didn't care what others thought, but she absolutely would not allow boys over six years old to casually enter the girls' dormitory.

"This is a life-saving debt!"

Moen emphasized with a grin. It really had been several years since the last time he entered the girls' dormitory, Granny Hilda's management was extremely strict.

"Then you might as well throw me down right now!"

On matters of principle, Granny Hilda was extremely firm. She stiffened her neck and was not affected in the slightest by Moen's "threat."

"You're amazing, Granny!"

Moen laughed and shook his head, no longer joking with her. In just a few exchanges, Granny Hilda's condition had already mostly recovered, and she had clearly calmed down from her previous state.

"Granny, where is the coachman of your carriage?"

Moen changed the topic. He looked toward the back, but didn't see the coachman catching up. Could it be that he was injured when he jumped off?

"He probably fell down the cliff."

Granny Hilda sighed. The coachman had shouted earlier, perhaps he had misjudged when jumping and rolled down the cliff.

As for the coachman jumping off the carriage, she didn't have much to say. It was all for survival. He felt he couldn't control it anymore and jumped off. Although that lacked professional spirit, it wasn't strange when facing life and death.

If the coachman were still alive, he would certainly not escape punishment. But since the man was already dead, there was nothing more to be said.

"Granny, take my carriage back."

With the two frightened horses shattered into pieces and no coachman left, Granny Hilda naturally had no way to return. Moen therefore gave his own carriage to her, it had originally belonged to Mr. Ruchio anyway.

"You still have things to do, don't you? Don't delay your matters. This old woman can wait here for a while. Maybe a passing carriage will come soon, and I'll just catch a ride. I'm just an old woman, no one would have designs on me."

Granny Hilda refused. She didn't want to cause Moen trouble. She couldn't let her own situation affect Moen's commission.

"It's fine. I don't have anything urgent, and it's almost there anyway. I can go by myself. I also have my own way of traveling."

Moen smiled. With a wave of his hand, four large crows appeared.

Under the gazes of Granny Hilda and the coachman, Moen leapt up and stepped onto two of the crows, while the other two grabbed his shoulders. With all four crows flapping their wings, they directly carried him into the air.

"You go back first. I'll be leaving now."

Moen waved at Granny Hilda, then directly controlled the crows to fly upward. These four large crows responded to his control as easily as his own arms, with almost no delay at all. The feeling was just like playing a flight-control game.

That said, to be honest, flying like this wasn't very comfortable. Moen was nearly blown senseless by the wind and had to consume extra magic power to resist it.

He should have known better and made a "basket" that could block wind and rain, letting the crows pull it while he sat comfortably inside. He could even drink some tea, how pleasant that would be.

But external objects couldn't be stored in the system space, which made things inconvenient. And using materials meant for forging or repairing Saint Cloths to create something like that would be a terrible waste.

While Moen was lost in random thoughts, he arrived at his destination in no time.

Moen descending from the sky while stepping on two large crows was naturally extremely eye-catching. Once the crowd clearly saw his appearance, another wave of commotion erupted, everyone had clearly recognized him.

Moen's popularity was at its peak right now. Wherever he went, he would inevitably cause a stir. Saying "who in the world does not know you" would not be an exaggeration at all. He had underestimated his own fame, to the point that he was completely surrounded by the crowd.

Outside the crowd, inside a rather luxurious carriage, a delicately dressed, elegantly clothed blonde little girl opened the curtain and looked outside.

"Uncle Deller, who is that outside?"

The little girl wasn't very old, she looked to be about ten years old. She curiously asked the coachman. She was clearly a well-educated noble young lady, extremely polite even toward the carriage driver.

"Miss Lucy, it seems to be that Moen Dreyar."

The coachman's voice came through, and Lucy's eyes immediately lit up.
