The white void I once stood in vanished as I reappeared in front of a row of connected desks on a declining floor with stairs between them filled with people that look edat me like idiots

"Welcom hero" I turned around and looked up at the dark grey marble table that had stairs on in its side's
'Projections' three figures were dark blurs only the two of them were visible "my name is Durin Dumble" the one with a bushy beard spoke it's voice bellowed as it smiled at me
"My name is Alexander Snach" the taller one spoke, his face had no expression as he stared down at me
The hall was filled with subtle murmurs as they stared at me while I waited for the others to introduce themselves but nothing happened
I glanced at the people standing next to the walls wearing dark robes holding blue orbs and a few with swords on their waist
"Im Leo Enex" I smiled as I looked at them, currently I was surrounded my body still felt strange fighting wasn't an option
"Hero Leo what is your class?" Alexander spoke, I looked at the bald bearded guy who reached his shoulder sitting next to him
"Im a knight" the murmurs increase while the man in black robes stepped closer but the man in the armour held them back
"How many people have place their lives on you?" he spoke again and my jaw clenched it felt as if everyone knew what was happening except me
'should I tell them?' I didn't know what the truth could mean for me, everyone had the minimum of billion and I wasn't even in the millions, the world seemed to go silent as I thought about my option

Those sitting at the gleaming wooded desks behind me murmured while those sitting at the top of the marble table looked at me with silent and yet cold expression

They introduced themselves and room filled up with murmurs as the listened to their numbers, I received a few sneers but ignored them all
"You may stand" Alexander smiled as he looked at Mike's group "you will be escorted to your rooms and assigned an attendant..."
I leaned against the murble table waiting for them to finish, the people that were once sitting on the desks flooded their hero's
All I had with me was a gun on my waist and my sword, I had tried checking my status but that system installation notification kept appearing "tsk"
'That bastard needs to tell me whats happening' I looked at Mike surrounded by people in suits and robes 'what is even a regressor' I kept replaying the memory of that white void hopeful I'll find a clue

'He mentioned something about his last life' that was the only clue I had at the time, I needed to do some research, I folded my arms and scanned the hall
It had three exits one on each side and one at the back of the tables
"Hello" a lady in a pink suit spoke her skin flawless, I turned and looked at her "Yes?"
She sighed "I will be your attendant" she bowed her head and walked to the wooden wall on the left
I followed her, receiving a few sneers on the way as I stepped on the stairs I looked back at the others
'Are the attendant there to monitor us?' I looked back at my so called attendant as we walked up to the exit on the left wall
"What is this place?" I squinted eyes as the light pierce through the glass walls in the corridor
"This is parliament" her heels clinked as she stepped on the white tile "it is a place the politicians of our two races meet to write laws and decided the fate of the nation but the dwarves call it congress"
The front of the corridor had a corner on the left side and a flight of stairs at front, it seemed the place was being kept empty on purpose as we stepped down the stairs a man in armour opened the door on the landing
"Do you know why they assigned us attendants?" she stopped in front of the door and looked back at me
"The is no need to worry" she looked at me from head to toes "my superiors informed me to no longer report to them about you" she stepped through the door and sighed
"We are both fortunate and unfortunate to have each other in our lives" she continues to speak as door shut behind us "Although they said nothing I know I have been demoted into an attendant"
I looked around the windowless grey room, I looked at the three robed figures standing next to a cycle drawn on the ground under dim lighting
She walked to the cycle and I followed her, the figures simply nodded as we stepped into the cycle then
They mumbled in sync raising their arms, I reached for my gun as the cycle glowed

"Durin is the current president and everyone else there is a royal adviser of different nations" she picked a flower and walked off
'I'll need to study this damn place to understand the hierarchy' I kept following her as she walked past the neatly trimmed bushes and tree's enjoying the sweet perfume flower then
We stood in front of a sandstone building, the air breezed past me as I looked back at the burst of colours from the flowers
"Sir please move" I turned to her standing in front of the glass doors
"What am I doing here?" She stood there staring at me then walked back
"You are here to defend your world and help us defend ours as well" she stopped at the stairs looking down at me
"My world isn't in any danger and how does your problem involve me" no matter how I thought about it I felt kidnapped, I never gave my consent to come to this place
"your wrong" the birds chirping went silent as she stepped down "your world is in danger, if our world falls to the demons they will attack your worlds next" her voice felt controlled

'If didn't come I would have to risk my life on someone I don't know' I walked through the glass door passing a man sleeping in a chair next to the door as I stepped into the lobby with grey tiled walls and a check floor
"What happens if all five choose people die?" She glanced back at me with a smirk as we passed the couches to the flight of stairs
"I guess the gods are just in some ways" she stepped on the stairs placing her hand on the railing "If all five hero's die their world will be given to the demon god"
She turned and her red juicy lips parted as she smiled "and when he has your world he can choose to enslave it or destroy it"
Her hips swayed in those formal pink pants as she walked to me "you asked where this involves you" I stopped climbing as she looked into my blue eyes with her green eyes "this is where it involves you"
She pulled her black hair to the side as she moved to my ear "I look forward to day all you so called hero's die"
She moved away and continued climbing up the stairs as looked at her swaying hips I did wonder what could she gain from us dying
"Wouldn't your world be in danger if we die?" She scoffed not bothering to look at me as we stepped on the first floor
"We can defend ourselves fine" she walked across the black tiled floor "when we prayed to the gods we asked them to help us reclaim the fallen continent" she took out a key from her suit as she stood in front of a grey door
"Non of us asked them to turn our world in to a battle ground" she put the keys in my hands
"My shift ends at 5 and begins at 8" she walked past me, I looked at the clock down the hallway the clock short hand pointed to six
