He looked like a man in his fifties, a few wrinkles here and there to show he has age and the eyes, the eyes of a man who had seen and war.

I reached for the gun strapped by mt thigh when he spoke
"Enough" The hall when silent. Asher voice was cold and void of any trace of warmth.
"So this is the so-called council?" The voice cut through the chamber as he stepped out of the darkness, carrying himself like the very lord who ruled it. Silence fell instantly then I felt it.
He commanded the room like a king and I saw fear in everyone's eyes. Asher King was not the man I thought I knew he was no longer the detective i teased and had long games with. He was different. Like a wolf in the presence of dogs.
