Windsor's POV

Everything felt weightless and dense simultaneously.

The burning sensation in my chest had vanished. My throat no longer felt raw and torn.

The crushing weight against my lungs was gone.

Was this death? Was this the sensation of slipping away from the world?

Somewhere in the distance, life continued. I could hear the battle raging - the crash of weapons, voices shouting, growls of fury, the symphony of war. But it all seemed muffled, as if I were floating deep underwater while chaos erupted on the surface above.

Then a voice cut through the fog.

"Please, let me through! I have what can save her!"

The words bounced around inside my skull, disrupting the peaceful silence.

"Release her," Zion's voice followed, raw with desperation.

I wanted to reach toward him, to let him know I was still fighting, but my limbs wouldn't respond. I was drifting deeper into the darkness again.

Something pulled me back toward consciousness.
