Windsor's POV
Zion held my gaze for what felt like forever, something intense flickering in his dark eyes that made my pulse quicken. Without speaking, he reached for my hand and drew me down to sit beside him on the bed. The ocean breeze drifted through the open window, cool against my heated skin, but his fingers were wonderfully warm against mine.
He lifted my hand carefully, adjusting the ring until it sat perfectly on my finger.
"This stone," he said quietly, "is incredibly difficult to find. Always has been. But I searched until I found it. Another piece I created myself."
My breath caught in my throat.
"I knew you were worried about damaging your mother's necklace," he continued, glancing at me with that subtle smile that always made my heart skip. "So I made this for you instead. It's called Distoz."
"Distoz?" The word fell from my lips in a whisper.
