Lunar Instincts class had a reputation that made most students break out in cold sweats. Everyone whispered it was the ultimate test of werewolf education. Think advanced calculus, but for supernatural beings. The course demanded raw intuition, the kind you either possessed or you didn't, to tackle complex theoretical scenarios.

Today felt different. I refused to let Aliya occupy even a corner of my thoughts. Instead of my usual early arrival, I blended into the crowd of students flooding the hallway like any ordinary wolf trying to survive another day.

That strategy backfired spectacularly. I ended up being the final person to slip through the classroom door. My eyes swept across the packed room in desperation.

The back rows stretched too far away. My vision wasn't sharp enough, and glasses made me feel vulnerable. The front row felt like volunteering for public execution. That left the middle section as my only reasonable option.
