They weren't together? The words hit me like a slap, but I wasn't about to let him see how they affected me.

"Stop lying," I said, my voice flat and dismissive. I clicked my tongue in irritation.

Logan's mouth curved into that infuriating smirk, and I could see the amusement dancing in his dark eyes. The sight made my blood simmer with frustration.

Aliya had made sure to rub it in my face at every opportunity. From the moment I discovered we were mates, she never let a single day pass without reminding me that Logan would never see me as anything more than a burden. Just recently, she'd gone into explicit detail about his skills in the bedroom, her voice dripping with satisfaction as she described their intimate moments.

Now he expected me to believe they were never together?

He shook his head with deliberate slowness. "You find it difficult to trust your sister too, don't you?" he said, his tone careful and measured.
