Chapter 27 - chapter 26 : Scarlet-Eyed Tiger Hunt

In the blink of an eye, a month had passed.

Lin Xuan had used up most of the elixirs in his possession, and he finally broke through to the eighth level of Body Tempering.

[Task: Break through to the eighth level of Body Tempering. Reward: Physique +1, Comprehension +1. Completed, claim reward?]

"Claim!"

His body underwent another slight sublimation.

Lin Xuan then created a new task.

[Task: Break through to the ninth level of Body Tempering. Reward: Physique +2, Root Bone +2.]

"The rewards are getting more generous.....not bad!" Lin Xuan said with a smile.

During this month, besides the breakthrough in his cultivation realm, his martial arts had improved rapidly.

The Shaking Heaven Fist had been raised to the Perfected stage, granting him the reward "Fist Technique Talent (Beginner +2)."

Now, Lin Xuan's Fist Technique Talent had reached Beginner +4, accelerating his proficiency in fist techniques even more.

His first-grade fist techniques were progressing quickly, and his Penetrating Back Fist had already reached Divine (+8). With another ten thousand repetitions, he could reach the state of "Skill Approaching the Dao."

Over the next period, he planned to focus on fist techniques, aiming to max out the two first-grade techniques while accumulating Fist Technique Talent to reach Intermediate level.

Once Beginner +10 was reached, it could be upgraded, and he would be considered a fist technique genius.

Today was another day of martial arts exchange. Lin Xuan enjoyed these sessions, as each could create new tasks.

However, with more frequent exchanges and his clear dominance, the tasks became easier, and the rewards less generous than before.

Still, something was better than nothing. With his current cultivation, even the lowest reward....a third-grade elixir....was worthwhile.

He arrived at the back mountain, where the same group of four awaited. After several exchanges, there was no need for formalities.

With Lin Xuan leading the internal competition, Lin Dong and Lin Xia also progressed rapidly.

Lin Dong's Flowing Wind Body Technique had already reached the Grand Completion stage, and Lin Xia was close behind.

Although Lin Xuan hadn't deliberately trained the Flowing Wind Body Technique, he was approaching Perfected stage naturally.

For the Immemorial Fingerprint, Lin Xuan and Lin Dong had fully mastered the first style.

Each style was like a separate martial art. Lin Xuan's first style had reached Grand Completion, while Lin Dong had barely reached Minor Success.

Under their guidance, Lin Xia could now barely perform the first style.

The second imprint was more difficult. At fourth-grade martial art level, it required complicated hand seals and large Yuan Power consumption.

Practicing it once drained nearly a third of their energy, often unsuccessfully.

For now, Lin Xuan slowed down his practice of the second imprint until he reached the ninth level of Body Tempering.

Practicing third-grade or below martial arts was the most effective at this stage.

Lin Dong, aiming to surpass Lin Xuan in the Immemorial Fingerprint, spent more time on the second imprint. However, it was too difficult to master quickly.

In contrast, Lin Dong's Ancient Ang Fist was suited to his sharp and diverse attacks. He had already reached Grand Completion and could match Lin Xuan in sparring...but only because Lin Xuan controlled his strength. Full power from Lin Xuan would have easily overwhelmed him.

After another exchange, Lin Xuan received four bottles of third-grade elixirs.

His martial arts had entered a period of stability.

With the exchange complete, Lin Dong and Lin Xia didn't rush into seclusion.

Since it was early, they decided to venture into the forest for hunting practice.

The Qingyang Hunting event was approaching, and preparation was key. With their current strength, they could safely handle demonic beasts below the Earth Yuan realm.

The back mountain had few higher-level beasts, making it safe to go deeper.

Qingtan wasn't afraid to follow. Her Yuan Power was increasing rapidly, and she was close to breaking the seventh level of Body Tempering, giving her a degree of self-protection.

Deep in the forest, the three trained together, targeting demonic beasts above the sixth level. After hunting seven or eight, they finally encountered a tough opponent.

It was a Scarlet-Eyed Tiger, its mottled fur and scarlet eyes menacing. Its nest lay between two towering, intertwined tree roots.

"Judging by its size, it's an adult. Strength comparable to eighth level Body Tempering. Very fast.

One-on-one, even ninth level may struggle. Do you want to try?" Lin Xia sized it up, eager for the challenge.

"I think we can try!" Lin Dong agreed.

"Then attack, I'll support, and Qingtan guard the surroundings," Lin Xuan arranged. He knew the two needed a trial with real pressure.

[Task: Cooperate with Lin Xia and Lin Dong to hunt down the Scarlet-Eyed Tiger. Reward: A bottle of fourth-grade Yuan Qi Pills.]

"Fourth-grade elixir...not bad," Lin Xuan smiled. After breaking through eighth level, third-grade elixirs were less effective; fourth-grade was perfect.

Lin Dong and Lin Xia approached from opposite directions.

The tiger discovered them and roared, pouncing on Lin Xia.

She dodged using Flowing Wind Body Technique, and Lin Dong attacked from behind. Soon, all three were in fierce combat.

"Spirit Sword Finger!"

"Roaring Fist!"
