Chapter 31 - Chapter 31 Dr. Agasa's Black Technology: Invisibility Cloak

Returning to the Overworld, Leon was somewhat surprised to see Dr. Agasa.

The corpulent Dr. Agasa, nimble despite his size, was holding an instrument and studying the wooden door leading to the Detective Conan World, his round face filled with a serious expression.

Eric stood not far away, watching Dr. Agasa, and the two occasionally exchanged a few words.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, Eric turned to look at Leon, then a Smile appeared on his face as he said, "Yang, you're back."

Leon nodded slightly, walked over, and asked, "Dr. Agasa, why are you here?"

Dr. Agasa, hearing Leon speak to him, reluctantly put down his instrument and said, "The invisibility skin you gave me earlier has made breakthrough progress."

He then rattled off a string of professional terms, without caring whether Leon understood them or not.

Leon only felt some inexplicable knowledge drill into his ears, lashing at his brain, and he immediately said with a wry Smile:

"Dr. Agasa, I know nothing about research. Could you please be more direct?"

Dr. Agasa paused, looked at him with a gaze usually reserved for the mentally challenged, and simply summarized, "Through the original solution I formulated, that skin can be reactivated, thereby allowing the skin to reactivate its invisibility ability."

I like your technology, but I don't like your gaze.

However, Leon also knew that for a big shot like Dr. Agasa, there was no difference between looking at ordinary people and looking at the mentally challenged; their thought processes were completely different from those of normal people.

Otherwise, there wouldn't be the saying that there's only a fine line between genius and madness.

"Really?"

Although Leon knew Dr. Agasa was strong, he hadn't expected him to be this strong. In just two days, he had managed to thoroughly research the characteristics of the Smile skin and even develop a 'battery' for it.

He took out the two Smile corpses, which he hadn't converted into energy value last night, from his backpack and placed them on the ground.

Dr. Agasa looked at the suddenly appearing glowing teeth and eyes, and immediately knew they must be the so-called Smile.

He immediately pulled out a pair of gloves from his pocket, put them on, and reached for the Smile corpses, saying as he touched them, "The energy provided by Solution No. 1 is still too little; it can only support continuous invisibility for two hours."

Two hours?

This had completely exceeded Leon's expectations.

"Dr. Agasa, you've truly worked hard."

Saying that, Leon took out a bottle of gray almond water from his backpack and handed it to Dr. Agasa.

Perhaps it was because he hadn't rested for the past two days, but Dr. Agasa already had dark circles under his eyes and his complexion was somewhat pale.

"Doctor, this is a specialty almond water from the Backrooms. It can replenish hunger and restore mental energy, perfect for your current use."

"Restore mental energy?"

Dr. Agasa felt as if Leon's place was full of treasures; whether it was the wooden door for cross-world teleportation, or this peculiar space and the Smile corpses, they all held a strange attraction for him.

Now Leon had even produced almond water that could restore mental energy. Since Leon had stated its function, the effect must be good.

Temporarily abandoning the Smile corpses, Dr. Agasa took off his gloves and took the gray almond water from Leon's hand, opened the cap, and carefully observed the liquid inside the bottle.

After sniffing the scent, Dr. Agasa carefully took a sip.

In an instant, he felt a special energy washing over his tired mind.

"This is incredible!"

Dr. Agasa took a big gulp directly, then put the remaining almond water into his pocket. He planned to go back and study it thoroughly.

The special components contained in the almond water transformed into a warm current, causing Dr. Agasa to involuntarily close his eyes, enjoying the refreshing sensation.

After one or two minutes, Dr. Agasa slowly opened his eyes.

"Thank you very much, Mr. Leon."

Leon smiled and said, "It should be me thanking you, Dr. Agasa."

Suddenly, he remembered Conan's Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes and directly asked, "Dr. Agasa, is the principle behind the Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes you invented for Conan stimulating acupuncture points to unleash potential?"

Dr. Agasa, hearing Leon's question, felt completely confused and explained, "Stimulating acupuncture points, unleashing potential?"

"Who said that? Those shoes are electrically powered; the human body is just a carrier. Otherwise, given Conan's current physical condition at eight years old, he wouldn't have any strength at all."

Leon's eyes widened upon hearing this. He wasn't surprised because he had misremembered the knowledge, but because Dr. Agasa said that the human body was just a carrier.

This indicated that Dr. Agasa was fully capable of developing an 'Iron Man suit' with current technology.

"Dr. Agasa, please listen to my idea..."

Saying that, Leon described Iron Man's abilities to Dr. Agasa. After listening, Dr. Agasa frowned and said, "With my current technological level, I can't make such an armor."

"The main issues are material and energy. Just like the Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes, their lifespan is extremely short due to the material. Moreover, to support a human body moving freely in the air requires powerful energy support, and current energy sources cannot meet the demand at all."

Leon was, to be honest, a bit disappointed after hearing Dr. Agasa's explanation.

'That's right, Dr. Agasa is just a scientist, not a genie lamp...'

"However... a single-shot energy cannon is a very good suggestion. I can try it when I go back."

Dr. Agasa said very seriously. Anything he dared to say usually meant he already had a rough plan in his mind, not a 100% success rate, but 70-80% was certainly achievable.

"Alright then, Dr. Agasa, I'll trouble you with that. If there's anything you need help with, you can come to me anytime."

Saying that, he directly exchanged for a 'compressed key' that could be used ten times and handed it to Dr. Agasa.

"Dr. Agasa, when you have time, I'd like to invite you to see the Backrooms. See if you can develop machines suitable for use there."

Due to its peculiar properties, each level of the Backrooms has corresponding rules, and some levels severely interfere with electronic devices.

This is a big problem for exploring the Backrooms.

"The Backrooms, is that where these monsters live?"

Dr. Agasa's face showed an interested expression. He was very interested in the place that could give birth to Smile.

"That's right. It's not just Entities with various strange abilities; the most magical and mysterious thing is the Backrooms itself."

"Hmm, when do you have time? I can go anytime."

Leon glanced at the wooden door leading to the Digimon World and said with a Smile, "I still have some things to deal with. Dr. Agasa, you can research this Smile for now and try to produce the finished invisibility cloak."

From this moment on, Dr. Agasa's destiny underwent a tremendous change.
