He was still wearing his clothes from the previous night; his perfect hair was tousled, and the whites of his eyes were rimmed with red.
He hadn't slept a wink all night. The seriousness on his face faded slightly as I approached, but the tired look remained.
"I won't lie, but you look terrible," I blurted out as soon as I was next to him. He wrapped both arms around my waist and hugged me tightly, as if he were starving for my presence.
"I feel terrible, too, but my coffee is already here."
