Following Piccolo, the rest of the Z-Fighters started to arrive pretty quickly. Next was Tien and Chiaotzu, both of whom were significantly stronger than they should've been at this point. My interference had definitely changed something.
Originally, Tien had only been near two thousand at this point, but right now? My scouter showed three thousand, and he was probably suppressing his power level as well. Chiaotzu was the same, as his power level was already nearly double its original point, as it sat at one thousand.
As the duo arrived, they stood next to Piccolo and Gohan. For a minute, no one spoke as Tien looked a bit anxious, clearly nervous from both my massive level of power and from Piccolo's lightly shaking body.
"...Bulma," Tien finally spoke, gaining some confidence as he looked at the woman sitting to my side, "Are you alright?"
"Yup! I'm alive at least," Bulma smiled lightly at his question, nodding in thanks, though she still looked a bit awkward.
That was understandable, as none of her close friends had arrived yet. Tien was more of a 'foe turned semi-friend' to her, Chiaotzu was the same, Gohan she'd only met once on the day she was kidnapped, and Piccolo was still an untrustworthy demon who wanted to conquer Earth. I couldn't fault her for not eagerly rushing forward to give any of them a hug.
The man who arrived only roughly ten seconds later, flying through the air with a determined expression on his face, was definitely more familiar to her - though, right now, she might've been less eager to see him than even Piccolo. Yamcha arrived, landing on the ground near his friends as he glared at me immediately.
He had also seen a pretty substantial power boost, as compared to his usual one and a half thousand, his power level was closer to two thousand. He definitely hadn't improved as much as the others, but he at least might be able to take on a Saibamen now.
Maybe.
"Finally here, huh?!" Bulma huffed, glaring at Yamcha a bit as she seemed ready to tear into him for abandoning her with an alien.
"Bulma!" Yamcha shouted before she could, his eyes glaring at me as they were narrowed, "This bastard didn't do anything to you, right?!"
"Huh?" Bulma blinked at his question, looking at him with a confused expression as her immediate reaction to scold him disappeared, "Do anything? Well, I guess he did."
"H-He did?!" Yamcha spoke a bit louder this time, his eyes going wide as he looked over at her with a bit of disbelief.
"Yup! It was exhausting," Bulma sighed, slumping a bit on the rough rock under us, "I mean, some days I could barely walk, and it's your fault for leaving me with him! Though it wasn't that bad…"
Bulma trailed off at the end, glancing over at me as her cheeks flushed a bit, and Yamcha definitely misunderstood what she was talking about.
"N-Not that bad?! Y-You… you bastard!" Yamcha shot forward, his hand raised as his face was twisted in rage, "Wolf Fang Fis-"
"Stop," I just smirked, letting my power flare up a bit, and Yamcha stopped in his tracks - literally, as he almost fell over from his momentum. He stumbled, his eyes going wide as any anger he had was overpowered by fear.
"Go get us some chairs," I hummed, still smirking as Yamcha straightened, taking a step back as my power flared up, "I'm eager to watch the upcoming show, but this rock isn't very comfortable."
"Y-You, no way!" Yamcha's eyes hardened a bit, though he was still looking nervous as he took another step back, "You did that to her, and now you think you can order me around just because you're a bit tough- ah!"
He was cut off as I casually flicked my finger, causing a bullet-like beam of Ki to shoot past his face, drawing blood and burning through part of his long mane of hair in the process. Yamcha's eyes went wide again as he stumbled back, reaching up as his cheek burned and a small waterfall of blood formed.
"I-I didn't even see him move…" Tien muttered, also looking shocked as the bullet shot past Yamcha faster than his eyes could even track.
"Bring two chairs, or…" I casually snapped my fingers, my eyes boring into his, "It'll be your head next time."
"R-Right! G-Got… it," Yamcha stammered out, his fear winning over his anger, and he quickly turned around, and promptly shot into the air as he flew away from the canyon, "I-I'll be right back!"
It was nice that Yamcha was such a coward, huh? Though, considering how even Piccolo had been shaking in fear from feeling my power, his being a natural cowardice probably wasn't the deciding factor.
"We seriously have to fight him?" Piccolo gritted out, his hands clenching into fists as he glanced over wearily at Tien.
"Trust me, I can feel how much energy he has, too," Tien shot back with a nod, "But after hearing him admit what he did to Bulma… there's no way we can let that slide, even if he's not here to fight!"
"To be clear," I interjected, chuckling a bit at how determined Tien looked to get revenge for Bulma, "She meant she was exhausted from traversing planets and helping improve my technology, not because of any other reasons."
"Other reasons?" Bulma asked blankly to my side, looking at me curiously, "What other reasons could there be?"
"Having sex," I replied bluntly, and Bulma's eyes went wide as her cheeks turned red.
"S-Seriously?! There's no way anyone would think that way from what I said!"
"Y-Yeah… no one…" Tien nodded, and Bulma looked at him incredulously as he wasn't very convincing.
"Really?! Is that why Yamcha tried to attack him? That idiot!" She huffed, looking even more annoyed, "W-Wait, he thought you were raping me, and he still ran away?!"
"Yup. Seems like you have great taste in men," I teased lightly, smirking over at her, and she just huffed in annoyance.
"I can't believe I was ever with that moron…" She trailed off, her eyes glaring at the spot in the sky where Yamcha had left.
We fell into a silence for a moment, but only a moment, as two more power levels came hurtling towards us. I looked curiously as they grew closer and came in range of my scouter - which was much more precise after its improvements.
The previous scouters were already pretty long-range, as they could detect energy signatures from across entire planets, but they were less accurate. The read couldn't be fully trusted unless they were close enough for me to physically see them, which was a bit annoying.
But, now? Even as they were flying from halfway across Earth, I could easily lock in on the roughly two thousand five hundred power level that I assumed was Krillin, and the… two hundred and fifty power level flying with him?
That couldn't be Yajirobe, right? I'm pretty sure he was stronger than that, even in the original series, but I didn't think there was anyone else who came to fight the Saiyans in the series. Had I changed something else?
And, as the sight of Krillin and Master Roshi came into view, I knew that something definitely had changed.
"Did they suddenly get smarter?" I muttered, being slightly impressed as I saw a small, white jar in Master Roshi's hand. There was a small tag in his other hand, and it didn't take a genius to know what he was trying to do.
The Evil Containment Wave - an overpowered-ass technique that could seal even the immortal Fused Zamasu, and would likely work on the immortal me as well. It was a literal get out of jail free card on par with the Dragon Balls, but also woefully underused in the series.
I should try to learn it during my time here if possible, but it was risky. It was the one technique that, if used on me, could completely fuck me over.
"Krillin! Roshi!" Bulma shouted up as she saw them approach, smiling widely as she finally saw someone she was close with again, and she shot up from her seat and waved at them.
"Not yet," She blinked as I raised my hand, gesturing for her to sit down again, "Let me speak with them first."
She looked confused, but trusted me as she sat back down.
"How'd you think of that?" I raised an eyebrow as Krillin and Roshi landed, my eyes boring into the elderly man's.
"T-Think of what?" Krillin asked, instantly on guard as he glanced at me, and then at Bulma sitting next to me.
"The Evil Containment Wave," I said as if it was obvious, causing both of their eyes to widen in shock, "I took your brightest strategist, and the only real smart one amongst you Earthlings, and yet you somehow thought of that."
I had stolen Bulma, so she wouldn't have been here as the resident genius to randomly remember the Evil Containment Wave existed. At the same time, they hadn't remembered it in the original series to use against Vegeta and Nappa, so why had they remembered it against me?
It seemed my actions had changed more than I initially thought, and I might have to deal with some butterfly effects in the future.
"H-How… how do you know what that is?!" Roshi sputtered, and I was starting to get annoyed by how much they stuttered. I know I'm pretty intimidating and could kill them with a snap of my fingers, but they could at least speak properly, y'know?
"I know much more than you Earthlings can imagine," I hummed, just smirking at him a bit. "Honestly, it's a good plan. Probably the smartest one you've ever thought of. If you used it against the Saiyans, it would work, but it's useless against me."
"Useless?" Krillin muttered, looking over at Roshi wearily, "What do you mean?"
"Well, because it's broken," I chucked, smirking wider as I gestured to the pot in Roshi's hand, "How would you seal me in something like that?"
"What are you- HEH?!" Roshi did a spit-take as he stumbled back, staring at the pot in his hand as it was suddenly split - the top half crumbling and falling to the ground at his feet, and the bottom half now had a gaping hole in the top.
That was the downside of the Evil Containment Wave - if your opponent knew about it, it was useless. None of the Z-Fighters, and certainly not Roshi, were fast enough to protect the container as they tried to seal me. If I didn't know about it, I could've really been caught by surprise and sealed.
But that was a hypothetical. I did know about it, and all it took was a glance to break a simple pot. And, as Krillin and Roshi looked panicked, I assumed they didn't have another one.
"Smart enough to think of the technique, but not smart enough to bring a second pot?" I hummed, chuckling again as I glanced over at Bulma, "This is why someone as smart as you is so valuable, y'know?"
"D-Don't flatter me," Bulma blushed, but looked a bit proud at my praise.
"How… I didn't even…" Meanwhile, Krillin was in shock as the pot was suddenly broken, and he looked over at me with wide eyes.
"Didn't see him move, right?" Piccolo interrupted, nodding at his words as he grinned shakily, "He's strong as hell, but don't get scared. If you're going to be a coward like the bandit, then just leave now and don't get in my way."
Wow, cocky words from the guy who was shaking on his knees a few minutes ago, but I'd let it slide this time. They only had a few minutes of peace left anyway, as I could feel two large power levels far, far above us.
"You can go greet them now," I nodded at Bulma, gesturing to Krillin and Roshi, "Though, come back when the two Saiyans arrive. I don't trust them to protect you."
"Right," Bulma nodded gratefully at my words, and quickly jogged across the space between me and the Z-Fighters, starting to speak softly with Krillin as he calmed down a bit.
They would only get a few minutes to reconnect as they saw Bulma for the first time in a year, as the power levels so far above us that they were clearly in space were moving quickly. The Saiyan pods couldn't move even half as fast as my spaceship, but they were pretty fast overall, and I estimated that Vegeta and Nappa would land in roughly five minutes.
I blinked as a thought hit me. Bulma hadn't been on Earth, but they would still revive Goku, right? She'd left her Dragon Radar here, and even though most of the Z-Fighters were overall pretty below-average in intelligence as they couldn't even remember the Evil Containment Wave existed, they would definitely be able to find it and gather the Dragon Balls, right?
Right?
I certainly hoped so, or this would be much more boring than I expected. Krillin was at least pretty smart, even if he rarely used his Destructo Disk, which could cut off even my neck right now, so they probably would.
I let the Earthlings converse, and Yamcha came back two minutes later, carrying over two foldable lawn chairs. I looked at him a bit blandly as he did, but just chuckled as he started panickedly waving his hands, asking if I wanted better ones. I finally waved him off, letting him set down the chairs as I sat in one casually.
The show started early as he finally ran over to Bulma, only to get scolded as Bulma started to shout at him and jabbed a finger into his chest. She promptly turned away after not even a minute of Yamcha arriving, stomping back over to me with an annoyed look on her face as she sat in the chair next to me.
"Back already?" I teased her, smirking a bit, and she just nodded with a huff.
"That damn moron. I can't believe I was really with him," She practically growled, glaring across at Yamcha, who was speaking loudly as he tried to plead his case to a confused Krillin, "He could go and die for all I care!"
Well, she was probably exaggerating about that, but she did predict what was likely about to happen. I glanced up as the shadow of two black spheres came into view, and I was pleasantly surprised as two Saiyan pods came shooting down towards us. Directly towards us, and not towards another part of the planet.
I guess Vegeta had realized that it really was me who ordered him to come here, as he likely saw my power level on his scouter and turned the trajectory of his pods. It was a nice gesture, and almost made me forgive him for actively trying to rebel against me.
Almost- not almost. I was still annoyed.
"That's them!" Krillin shouted up, pointing at the pods as they streaked down towards the canyon, "D-Damn it! They're so strong! We really have to fight them!?"
"Ha, you've seen him, and you're scared of these two?" Piccolo scoffed, gesturing towards me, and he wasn't wrong.
Considering how much the Z-Fighters had trained and how they were far stronger than they were in the original series, they would at least be able to handle Nappa. Honestly, they could probably handle him pretty easily, too.
But, they still wouldn't stand a chance against Vegeta. Especially an Ozaru-form Vegeta. They would need Goku for that, and even then, he'd need to be much stronger than in the series, too, if they didn't want a difficult battle.
The two Saiyan pods slammed down onto the rocky floor with a boom, causing craters to appear under them. The Z-Fighters stared with anticipation as the pod doors swung open, and I just grinned as two familiar figures stepped out.
The Saiyans had arrived on Earth, and the fun was just getting started.
