For the next couple of minutes, the only thing I heard was the angry roars of the flames as it spread out even more than I expected it to. Besides that, the only other thing I heard was the shouts from all of those around me.
Their screams, their curses and prayers.
Goddess, I could even hear the grunts from those that had been hurt by the fire.
But at this moment, only one thing mattered to me: my escape! And you can call me selfish, but I do not care at this point if one or two people would die from this fire!
My heart was beating in my chest so much that I feared I would hyperventilate. And that, coupled with the thick smoke filling my lungs made me feel like I was on the brink of death.
And yes, I had begun to think I would die from this fire I had stupidly created until my cell doors burst open and a guard rushed inside to drag me out.
